This husband-and-wife team made
good use of the environment in their
people shots. Bobby’s portrait of the
two local girls is highlighted by the
strong leading lines toward them.
Glenda’s young subject, on the other
hand, is effectively turned into a
graphic element after she framed him
within the massive windows of the
Beng Mealea temple ruins.
Raymond Calacday
Angkor’s ruins may be its top attraction,
but it’s the Khmer people that bring
this ancient city to life. Entrepreneur
Raymond Calacday saw these orange-
robed monks from afar, and promptly
walked over to photograph them by the
Suor Prat towers. Mixed with the strong
background greens and blues, the
bright color of their attire makes for an
eye-popping combination of hues.
