There are no cabs in Tawi-Tawi.
Tricycles are everywhere, however, especially in
Bongao, the capital. Drivers charge PHP15–20
per 5km. To visit nearby islands, rent a
lantsa
(small motorboat) for about PHP100.

Hike up Bud Bongao for a view of the
Philippine West Sea or the South China Sea.
Go island hopping and visit a floating village,
where you can shop around for affordable native
souvenir items.

Head to the videoke at Sand Bar
Restaurant in Dan Mar Beach Resort. Although
there are other videoke bar restaurants, DanMar
is more private so you can sing out loud without
disturbing others.

Dan Mar Beach Resort in Bongao is just a
few meters away from the famous Bongao Peak.
They also cook yummy seafood and serve it

There are tricycles as well as
single motorcycle services from the airport to
the city. The fare is negotiable, ranging from
PHP10–30. Once in the city, tricycles will be your
main means of transport.
BYDAY
Go for an early morning stroll along the
boulevard and check out the joggers, the Tae Bo
Club and the fishermen arriving from the sea with
their catch. Go on a Dipolog River Cruise for lunch
then get a view of the city from Linabo Peak.

Tricycles are the main means of
transport around the city. What’s more, Pagadian’s
tricycles are unique: they’re inclined at a 25˚ to
40˚ angle, which allows them to negotiate the
exceptionally hilly terrain.
BYDAY
Check out Pulacan Falls, which is
around 13km from the city. Simply ride the
tricycle going there. Visit Dao-Dao Islands,
which is about seven to 10 minutes away from
the seaport, on a motorboat.
BYNIGHT
Ride our famous local tricycles to get
around town. Take it for a spin at the
rotonda
