PERSONAL FASHION AESTHETIC
Durda:
A er I moved to
Cartagena, I had a huge change
of style. I dress for the weather:
clothes that are open and
breathable, more relaxed. I
have about 20 suits that never
get worn anymore.”
Schmidt:
Hippie chic by day,
a li le more elegant at night—
but still not as glamorous as
in London or New York,
because you want to keep it
comfortable here.”
FAVORITE PLACES TO SHOP
Schmidt:
I like to go to a
downtown boutique called
San Lorenzo, which has flowy,
airy clothes from places like
Thailand. And at Hernán Zajar
you can find the traditional
handwoven shoulder bags
called
mochilas
,
but with a bit
of bling to them.”
MUST-HAVE ITEMS FOR CARTAGENA
Schmidt:
Definitely a hat and
very comfortable sandals—the
city is so beautiful that you’ll
want to walk!”
Durda:
And sunglasses.
They’re the a itude behind
everything here.”
