THE REMBRANDT HOUSE MUSEUM
Rembrandt lived and worked in this house in Amsterdam for 20
years. The historic interior was restored to its former glory and
furnished with items and works of art from the master’s time.
The Rembrandt House owns an almost complete collection
of Rembrandt’s world-famous etchings and there are special
exhibitions devoted to Rembrandt and to past and present
artists who have been inspired by him. In Rembrandt’s printing
room and painting studio there are daily demonstrations of
how etchings and paint were made in the 17th century. The
Rembrandt House also offers freely accessible workshops in
Print Making in the Apprentice’s Studio.
