AS TOLD TO
VICKY LANE
it’s not hard
to be passionate about a job
you genuinely care about. Operating in such
a diverse network means every day is different.
You never know who you’re going to meet or
what’s going to happen.
Wherever we fly, there’s a basic charter
we follow to give everyone the best on-board
experience possible. It’s the simple things that
make all the difference, like serving with a smile
and ensuring every step of our passengers’
journeys are easy.
Our team’s job was to ensure that all the
crews flying from Manchester embraced that
charter and delivered exceptional service, day
in, day out. It also involved looking at what else
can be done to make further improvements
–
like allocated seating, which has made a
huge difference. Everyone is far more relaxed
now, as they can focus on their business trip
or what they’ll be doing on holiday, rather than
scrambling for a seat.
It was a huge honour for us to win the Spirit
of easyJet Award, as it recognises our passion
and dedication. It’s the ultimate accolade to a
concept that sums up easyJet and the people
who make the airline great. It’s going to be
surreal when we see the main prize – our
names printed on the side of the Spirit of
easyJet aircraft – when we crew the first flight
to Moscow on it this month.
From the moment customers step on
the plane, we want them to have a positive
experience. It’s always nice when people say
what a great flight they’ve had and, of course,
it also makes our job far more enjoyable if the
passengers are happy.
