DRESSED FOR SUCCESS
Shopping doesn’t get more glamorous than
the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Opened in
1887,
the glass-roofed arcade has been home
to Prada’s flagship store since 1913. Other
luxury brands, such as Louis Vuitton and
Gucci, arrived more recently. Locals
promenade across its beautiful mosaic floors
and window shop while dressed to impress.
Grab a seat at one the cafés and enjoy the
spectacle; the people watching will more than
compensate for the overpriced coffee.
For more affordable high-fashion finds, try one
of the outlet stores on nearby corso Vittorio
Emanuele II, offering discounts of up to 70%.
Il Salvagente (

is one of the
best, but note that items may be seconds and
refunds are rare, so try before you buy.
