Cute as a button, and
brimming with tasty
cakes and snacks,
NAPOLJONSKA
is run
by young couple Marco
and Anna, who took
over the place in 2004.
Decorated in pink and
white, like an American
milk bar, it’s an ace
place for breakfast
(
pancakes included) and
lunch – or one of their
home-made pastries.

Karin Wagner grew up
on the Kastanienallee
when it was part of East
Germany. Her store,
KÜNSTLER MAGAZIN,
started life as a tiny
shop further along
the road, and now it’s
the place that Berlin’s
steady stream of young
artists head to for
supplies, from canvases,
paints and pencils to
sketch books.

With its all-white
interior and large glass
front,
TEMPORARY
SHOWROOM,
is a
suitably stylish sales
outlet for European
and international
fashion designers. The
collections and the
décor change every
six months, but there’s
always a great range
of men and women’s
clothing on offer.
