HIT THE SLOPES WITH
EXAMPLE
Everyone's favourite Austrian festival –
Snowbombing – is back, bringing top tunes
to the slopes. We caught up with Example to
find out why he’s excited to be headlining...
Are you a Snowbombing fan?
Absolutely! I’ve been three times to perform
and once as a punter. Always a pleasure.”
Which other festivals will you play this year?
I’ve been announced for RockNess, Wakestock,
Parklife – still about four UK and Ireland festivals
to announce, and about 10 in Europe. I have an
Ibiza and Majorca Rocks residency too.”
Will you be hitting the slopes?
I love skiing. I’d say I’m very decent and I only
say that because I’m so bad at most other
sports. I’ve been skiing every year since I was
a kid, but since I got new insurance for gig
cancellation, due to potential injuries I can’t ski
six months either side of a gig.”
If you were a superhero, what would your
special power be?
To create snow wherever I wanted! That’s what
you want me to say, right?”
Mayrhoffen is an hour’s drive from Innsbruck airport. For last-
minute tickets, see snowbombing.com
