Before the building of the 100-year-old Jungfraubahn,
mountaineers killed themselves in an effort to view
the world from atop the Jungfrau (and her adjoining peaks,
the Eiger and Mönch). Nowadays, you simply have to take
the train as it tunnels its way through the mountains to the
highest railway station in Europe. Brave souls take to the
crampons here for unparalleled glacial hikes across the three
mountains, but even going up to take a chilly snapshot of the
incredible views is a giddying adventure.
