Estimated cost
of renovating
the Colosseum.
With more than
6m visitors a
year, the ancient
amphitheatre is
arguably the city’s
most famous
building, but it
caused concern
last year when bits
of 2,000-year-old
plaster came
crumbling down.

LONDON
Visitors heading for LEGOLAND this
Easter will find some special helpers
– junior concierges. Six kids, aged
between eight and 12, were chosen from
thousands of applicants for the “dream
holiday job” at the new LEGOLAND
Windsor Resort Hotel. The children will
be advising the hotel’s youngest guests
on what to do while they’re there and will
be paid with a weekend stay in the hotel
and plenty of lego.

A Bridge Too Far
EDINBURGH
Not a fan of heights? You’ll want to steer clear of the latest plans
being mooted for the Forth Bridge then. Local authorities have
announced they’re considering putting a viewing platform atop
the 91m-high structure – which connects the Scottish capital
with Fife – providing an incredible view across the Firth. The
news comes after the 10-year-long job of painting the iconic
span finally concluded last December.
