What’s your favourite local restaurant? “Tana Libera Tutti is a
trattoria focusing on cured meats. The menu’s also full of pasta,
but everyone goes here for the meats, cheeses, olives and truffle
creams [
12 Strada De Gironda; tel: +39 333 732 4782
].”
What’s your favourite neighbourhood bar? “On the largest
square in the Old Town is Matiti Brown. The outside seating at this
time of year is great and you can just sit, relax and breathe the
warm sea air [

].”
What characterises the area? “Colour, sound and taste. It’s a city
of the senses – the panache of the city translates through the
flavours of the sea and of the land.”
MARCELLO BELLINI

tire of Italian food, Taku
Ristosushi is an authentic
Japanese place – the
food’s great, the furniture’s
minimalist and the
ambience is hushed

].”
What’s your coolest local shop? “The owners of the Insight Concept
Store are really relaxed and friendly, and it’s a good place to shop for a

Gorgonzola and speck turnovers, made with pizza bases by a woman
with fairy hands in the side streets of old Bari – totally mouthwatering.”
What characterises the area? “The Lungomare seafront is like a
snapshot of the whole city. Everyone wanders along there after dinner
and you see all the generations of residents.”
