On the city fringes lies this district
with its beguiling necklace of graceful old
castles. Once the homes of the local moneyed crowd,
they cut a striking presence overlooking the sea.

vary each night, so ask at the bar). Get ready to party as

August, this event offers all kinds of music: classical,
jazz, worldmusic, rock or French ballads in venues all
over town. It’s a great time to be in the city to really
see it at its best and people out on the streets enjoying
various free, and charged, cultural highlights.
