The name’s Bond...
Or, rather,
Bond in Motion, a new exhibition
that’s opening in Hampshire.
Why go?
Bondmovies have always
been defined as much by the cars
as by the baddies, girls and gadgets.
This exhibition, celebrating 50
years of the famous film franchise,
will give people the chance to enjoy
50 of the spy’s topmotors.
Like what?
There are a goodmix
of the classics – including Sean
Connery’s 1964Aston Martin DB5
from
Goldfinger
(
above
) – and
relative newcomers, including the
remote-controlled BMW750iL
from
Tomorrow Never Dies.
Will I be shaken and stirred?
Depends howmuch of a Bond
fan you are, admittedly. But
younger members of the family
(andmany of the older ones too)
will be thrilled in the presence of all
that famous bodywork.
And for the rest?
Beaulieu, home
of the National Motor Museum,
is a huge complex with other
attractions, including Palace
House, a grand stately home, and
BeaulieuAbbey. Kids will love the
Dipstick’s Driving Circuit, where
they can have a turn at driving.
What about the Bond cars – any
chance of a joyride?
Dreamon.
