ZÜRICH
Less than an hour from Zürich, the
city of Lucerne makes for an extremely
pretty lakeside break. With its
distinctive medieval Chapel Bridge
over the river and the traditional-style
buildings of its Old Town, it has a very
different ambience to Zürich’s modern
metropolitan setting and is what all
Swiss cities would have looked like once
upon a time. Ibis is opening one of its
Styles economy range of hotels in the
town this month. It’s a good choice for
families, and rooms have flatscreen
TVs and WiFi.
