BUDAPEST
His death last year left
fans inmourning across
the world and now a
statue of Apple founder
Steve Jobs has been
erected in the Hungarian
capital. Popping up in
Graphisoft Park just
before Christmas,
the Jobs has been
immortalised in bronze
wearing his trademark
turtleneck, jeans and
trainers and holding
an iPhone. Fittingly,
the park is home to a
number of IT companies.

COPENHAGEN
Four wheels might be good,
but two wheels are flavour of the month – or
at least they are in the Danish capital, where
specialised cycle-maintenance stands have
been opened at five local petrol stations.
The centres – called Cykelpleje – are located
at outlets of the forward-thinking Norwegian
gas company Statoil. Cyclists can hang their
bikes from the fold-down racks to make it easier
to get at them, then make
use of various tinkering tools,
including oil cans, air hoses and
plastic gloves. There are also
bike-care boxes to borrow, with
tyre levers and Allen keys.
The stations should enhance
the capital’s reputation as
a“City of Cyclists”, having
already been commended by
trendhunter.com for the“most
pivotal bike infrastructure” in
Europe.
