thephotograph.Asanengineer, Ihad the
privilegeof inspecting itsnewbuildings in
2013.Whenwe learnedour teamwouldbe
spending theweekend inManchesterand
notLondon, Iwasdisappointed.However, I
soon learned thatManchesterhadmuch to
offerwith toursofMediaCity, theImpe-
rialWarMuseumNorth, theMuseumof
Science&Industry (it is thebirthplaceof
theIndustrialRevolution), aswellaspubs
botholdandmodern.A light-rail system
operatesbetweenMediaCity (also the
home toManchesterUnited)and theCity
Center.Withanewfoundappreciation for
Manchester, Iwouldhighlyrecommend
it toonewishing toexperienceadifferent
sideofEngland.Wedidmake it toLondon,
wherewealso inspected thenewBBCstu-
dios.A fewweeks later, theQueen followed
our footsteps through the televisionstudio
forherroyal inspection.Howcool is that?
