I took the 7:55 a.m. flight from EWR to
DFW thismorning,October6, and the title
of new editor Adam Pitluk’s first column,
“Moon Shadow,” got my attention. After
reading the column, I have to say that as a
(very) frequent traveler, I toohave used the
moon to bring thoughts of closeness tomy
wife and (now grown) children at home in
NewJersey.
I have bounced around all corners of
theUnited States and have traveled to Ire-
land, Portugal, Paris, and Capetown in the
last two decades. Adam is correct when he
says that there is a connection from that
big globe. It is inspirational every day and
night.
Happy travels, Adam, and good luck in
the editor’s chair!

AGREAT ISSUE!
I reallyhit the jackpotwithyourSeptember
15 issue. I enjoymost issues, the contentsof
which are always diverse, but this one had
several articles that really spoke tome.
My husband and I spend a lot of time in
Israel, where I have children, grandchil-
dren, and an apartment. We are always
looking for new and different things to do
there. Your story “Oasis in theDesert” gave
us some great ideas for places to go and
things to see.
Because I am a gym rat, I laughed and
empathizedwith JohnGonzalez’s “Me ver-
susWii.” I have wondered about that pro-
gram forme.
Recently, my daughter-in-law, who just
began a residencyprogram in aNew Jersey
hospital, turnedme on to the show
House
,
so I was so excited to read about its star,
HughLaurie,whowason that issue’s cover.
And as someonewho has recently gotten
interested in skiing, thanks to trips toWhis-
tlerandColorado, Iwaspleased to read
[

about Vail and
Beaver Creek. This issue was a knockout!
Keepup thegreatwork.
