FriendFinder
It’s the heart of Facebook,
the placewhere you can
find other users on the site.
After searching through a
couple of pages of people
who’dgraduated from high
school withme, I got back
in touchwith a friend I
hadn’t talked to in20 years.
That alonewasworth all
the time I’vewasted on the
site (which is, unfortunately,
a lot). AndFriendFinder is
a dandy networking tool
aswell.
ScrabulouS
While there are plenty of
Facebook games that, quite
frankly, my adultmind just
doesn’t get— I have no
desire to pass a virtual hot
potato around— I’m com-
pletely enamored of Scra-
bulous, an online version of
Scrabble. It’s a greatway
to challengemyselfwhile I
takeminibreaks fromwork.
At themoment, I have
10games going. Pathetic?
Sure. But it’s better than
just obsessively checking
my e-mail inboxwhenever
Iwant to procrastinate.
ViSual
bookShelF
I’m always on the hunt for
a great newbook, and this
app letsme check outwhat
my friends are reading and
find outwhat they think of
those books. Likewise, I can
pass along the titles ofmy
favorite reads.

This one’s especially for
roadwarriors andanybody
whowants to showoff their
well-traveled life. Instead
of stickingpins intoamap
on yourwall, stick virtual
pins into this onlinemap
and showoff all theplaces
you’ve visited. The onewho
has themost pinswins
— and is the envy of every-
bodywho knows him or her.

I snappicswherever I
go.While it’s been awhile
— okay, never— since I
last invited friends over for
a slideshow ofmy travels,
I nowdazzle themdaily
with a newphoto frommy
collection.

adults.really.
I tried to avoid adding the social-networking site Facebook.com tomy life, but finally the invitations
from friendswon out. I signed up. And it’s apretty sure bet that at some point youwill too. As
ofmid-November, therewere57million active Facebook users— andmore than half the group
had alreadymovedpast their college years. Sowhat are they doing on there? For starters, playing
Scrabulous. And they’re usingplenty of other adult-friendly applications too. — JennaSchnuer
