One thing about baseball is no two parks’ dimensions are required to be the same, which gives each team a chance to design their own unique stadium. Though many schools now are building new stadiums, they still are playing catch up with the Razorbacks. The Big Red used to play its games at Buck Beltzer Stadium, which happened to be one of the worst stadiums in the Big 12 Conference.
The stadium went through a $12 million dollar renovation project that was completed in 2004, and now is one of college baseball's finest facilities. While the Bulldogs struggle to fill the stands until the weather warms up, Polk-Dement Stadium is an excellent venue to watch a game.
That label certainly faded away years after the completion of the facility, as the ballpark was in poor shape until the Longhorns engaged in a $21 million dollar renovation project, which changed the stadium's name to UFCU Disch-Falk Field. Though observers in the Southeastern part of the country know about the great atmosphere at Oxford-University Stadium, people nationally just now are getting a taste of what the Rebels are about. One of the largest stadiums in the SEC, Baum Stadium can hold up to 10,737 Hogs and has been named the best collegiate field a few times over. This field is the first in college baseball to use the sub air system, which can heat or cool the playing surface year round. Dick Howser also features one of the great traditions in all of college baseball, where FSU fans sing the Canadian National Anthem during the 5th inning. Coming into this stadium as an opposing player can be daunting, since most stadiums you play in aren’t of this size or filled with 10,000 screaming fans.
O-U Stadium holds about 3,500 spectators in the main grandstand, but thousands of fans often line the grassy areas down the left and right field lines and the outfield.
Baum Stadium has such a beautiful set up, the design has tried to be replicated many times, but nothing can match it. With beautiful scenery beyond the outfield, Lubrano Park is a hidden gem in college baseball.
Disch Faulk is one of the nicest baseball facilities in the country, and with a capacity 6,756, there is plenty of burnt orange in the stands.

The seats inside the stadium are on top of the field and the Animals of Section B, the nation's best spirit group, have helped create an atmosphere that only is rivaled by those in Baton Rouge, La.
However, the record attendance for a single-game was set in 2002, as 4,715 fans packed the stadium to watch Auburn play LSU. The stadium was constructed in 1996 and renovated in 2003, 2004, 2006, and 2007, with expansions coming in three of those years. The Owls ranked 14th in the country in average attendance last year, and should see that number rise with a preseason top 10 ranking. Arkansas fans also pack the house rain or shine and provide a premier home-field advantage for their baseball program. Those that watched the Starkville super regional two seasons ago know exactly what the Bulldogs are about at Polk-Dement Stadium. If you are a baseball fan and get the opportunity take a trip to Oxford, make sure to catch a game at Swayze field. Baum Stadium, however, has to compete with LSU’s Alex Box Stadium for attendance records; in 2004 and 2007, Arkansas led the country in attendance, but was edged out by LSU, by just a mere 20 fans in 2008. Before playing at Baum Stadium, the Razorbacks called George Cole Field home for two decades, but they paid tribute to the former Hog by naming the actual playing field after him.
Future plans have been drawn up to add on to Baum Stadium, including new luxury suites in right and left field and a concourse that goes all the way around the stadium, allowing for a new center field entrance and a new LED ribbon board.
In the last decade, the Manhattan Group has overseen the construction of two of the marvels of modern sports architecture, Reliant Stadium in Houston and Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, and is also handling construction of a new on-campus stadium for the University of Houston, set to open in August 2014 on the now-former site of the Cougars' old venue, Robertson Stadium.
