Think of it this way: without those benefits, your stress level will likely skyrocket, and stress only exacerbates any underlying condition.
Being under that kind of financial pressure may lead you to make business choices based on sheer necessity, rather than good business practices. Keeping your current job will allow you to test the viability of your business over time, so that when you do jump ship, your lifeboat doesn’t sink. Prioritize and outsource: Keeping your day job means you have fewer hours to work on your side business, so make sure every hour counts.
