Mother RisingA holistic pregnancy blog supporting women in natural pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
I had a good idea that she was head down, and I also wanted to see what head down position she was in. If any of you know me, you likely know how important I feel fetal positioning is for labor and birth.
Anyways, prior to the ultrasound (maybe at 30-31 weeks) baby girl was in a funky position, and MESSING with me big time.
Of course, I was on the Spinning Babies website to try and figure out what I could do to put baby in a better position and make myself more comfortable. I decided to do lots of inversions and I spent considerable time in hands and knees position OR open knee chest. The Daily Essentials video by Spinning Babies is the best resource I have ever seen on easing discomfort because of babies position, as well as optimizing your babies position for an easier and less painful birth.

This has probably been the first week I've felt a little fed up, I had quite a lot of pain some days this week which has just drained me and actually made me quite emotional, as I've said to Ben, I don't mind being in the pain if she's going to come out! Maternity clothes? I know it's a bit late but I found 2 really cute maternity tops from Asda!
Sleep: Mixture this week, she is still a wriggle bum but I can sleep through that now, it's the heartburn thats kept me awake this week!
Movement: LOADS, it feels like a proper little baby now, elbows, feet, bum, back and lots of pressure on my cervix this week!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Yes, when i'm hungry and just randomly the past few days, usually in the evenings I feel a bit yucky! CUSTOM VITALFOAM MEMORY PILLOWS - A true HIGH DENSITY 5.25lb to 4lb Viscoelastic Memory Foam.

I was always wearing bigger sized tops but as bump has now dropped more, tops don't seem to cover my belly at the bottom! My midwife was amazed at how much she was still moving and also said that even though baby's head was so low down, she was still up in my ribs as well, poor me she actually said.

Sorry to say, this one may continue throughout your pregnancy, especially as your growing baby starts to put pressure on your lungs and diaphragm. Tender and heavy-feeling breasts, darkening of the areolas and even more pronounced veins on your chest can be a first sign that you're pregnant. If you're suddenly exhausted, it might be a response to the increasing hormones in your body.
For many women, tiredness continues through the first trimester, but then ebbs in the second.

In the mean time, try to eat foods that will settle your stomach, like crackers or ginger ale. During pregnancy your body produces extra fluids, which has your bladder working overtime—and you taking a lot of pee breaks. Just in case you are indeed pregnant, take pg-safe acetaminophen instead of ibuprofen to deal with the pain.
Sorry, this one might continue through your pregnancy as your weight gain and shifting center of gravity throw your posture out of whack.
It's hard to tell, but if you're feeling crampy, it might be your uterus stretching to get ready for a baby.
If you notice food issues that weren't there before, it could be your body telling you you're pregnant. If you're feeling a little puffy or backed up, it might be extra progesterone due to pregnancy, which slows down your digestive system. If you're feeling a little hormonal, it might be because your body is adjusting to well, new hormones. If you're repulsed by certain smells, or have an increased sensitivity to odors, it may mean you've got a bun in the oven.
