I am just a few days into my week 19 of being pregnant and so far pregnancy has been nice to me. Dinner was grilled coho salmon, with a few plantain chips, sauteed greens cooked in coconut oil, fermented veggies topped with sea salt and tahini. Over the weekend I bought my first baby related purchases… these were too cute not to get! Baby’s brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision and touch. I had no feelings whatsoever about whether I was having a boy or girl, so I was completely surprised when the ultrasound tech pointed out the unquestionable parts that make this baby a male. I don’t think it matters if it is your first baby or fifth baby, seeing your child inside of you via ultrasound is nothing short of amazing. Thank you for all of your reassuring comments last week when I talked about my feeling regarding exercising while pregnant. I still have a large appetite, and trying to make smart food choices to fill up my tummy and keep me satisfied. I think hearing the baby is very big would make me feel a bit nervous, too… But I am sure it will work out fine. By 19 weeks, the uterus is developed in the female and the testes and penis are easily identifiable in males.

A plate of homemade sauerkraut, with my last bit of ham slices served with plantain bread that I cooked on the skillet. Though over the weekend I did eat a few fun things like calamari (first time really having it, and it was pretty good) and ice cream. I am excited for the next few months of carrying my little girl and eventually holding her. They slowed down a little bit over the weekend but getting back to having good success in the bathroom department.
I know I have time but I’m just in the mood to start to figuring some things out as there are a lot of companies and products out there to sort through.
Inside your baby’s brain, certain areas are being specialized for smell, touch, taste, hearing, and vision.
I am still able to do most exercises that I was able to do prior to being pregnant with just a few modifications. Reshape your relationship with food and your body so you gain that inner glow inside and out and rock your world.
We are trying to get some things finished around the house before the little one shows up as when she does – no more house work will get done for a long time. They provide me with such energy and self-confidence during this pregnancy. If you are a fellow pregnant mama and not sure where to start when thinking of being fit during your pregnancy?
Just an FYI though, be ready to be second fiddle to the baby because once that little girl is in his arms he will have a tough time doing anything without her first:) Tell the family hello!!1 We will be at the wine and dine half marathon at Epcot in November.

I’ll admit he is a little nervous in having a girl, but I think he will do just fine. The room that is going to be the nursery is painted; now it just needs furniture and decorations. Overall though I am still very pleased with how my skin is doing during this pregnancy as that was a huge fear of mine due to my past skin issues.

I am hoping that each week my hormones and body will work together so I can have that glowing pregnancy skin. We still need to put down tile and change out the vanity, which we are hoping to get done here soon!
