Baby pregnancy week 16,best ways to get pregnant if you have pcos 2014,how to sleep 19 weeks pregnant, pregnancy in 40 age quotes - Review

Ahh officially 4 months pregnant and I can only imagine the next 5 will fly by as fast as these 4 months have. Sleep: I am still not sleeping great, trying to get my hands on a Snoogle free or as cheap as I can get it but alas the search for one continues!
Anything Making You Queasy Or Sick: I have to say the only thing that makes me queasy on a daily basis is the rancid smell in our apartment hallway.
Movement: The baby moves quite a bit, still to subtle for the better half to feel but I can feel the movements and it is one of the greatest things about being pregnant!
Belly Button In Or Out: Still an inny and sadly this week I had to remove my Belly Button ring as it was starting to get itchy and painful.
What I Miss: Relaxation, this past week has been busy as you know what and I just want one of those days where I can plop my behind on the couch with a bag of chips and a container of dip and veg out ALL day. What I Am Looking Forward To: Finding out the sex of the baby, I don’t think this will change much until I do find out haha!
Weekly Wisdom: Find out how to clone myself so one of me can do all the work while the real me relaxes … Okay I know it is never going to happen but a girl can dream right? In the next few weeks your baby will begin a tremendous growth spurt doubling its weight and adding inches to its length. Sometimes when you move suddenly you may a feel a slight pain in your sides as the ligaments on each side of your uterus and pelvic walls are stretching as your baby grows.
Awe congrats Angela, I am currently in my 17th week (I am a week behind in my journal lol).
I also wrote a post on Preparing for your baby ~ newborn essentials 101, it has great advice and links to coupons from Babies R Us and more! Right on the top of that currently over-sized head, tiny hair follicles are beginning to form and finger and toenail beds are taking shape as well.
By Week 11 of your pregnancy Baby is becoming something of an acrobat at as well – they can stretch out and even do somersaults, although they are still just too small for your to feel all of this activity. For many women (although far from all) the nausea and sickness will finally begin to fade away this week and you may actually find that you can look forward to your meals once more! The bad news is that many of the symptoms you have been dealing with are still around even if your nausea is fading.
For Mums to be who are working, or are out of the house a lot, the temptation can be to turn to easy to find junk food to satisfy a snack attack. Some expectant mums choose to share their pregnancy progress photos with faraway family and friends on social networks like Facebook and Instagram but if that is a bit too much exposure for your tastes that’s OK.
For Dad – Already you have been coping admirably (hopefully) by stepping in and taking on more household chores and doing more of the cooking.
There are a few expectant women who truly do love their pregnant bodied but they are few and far between. Therefore you will now need to add cheerleader to your list of duties as a helpful and supportive partner. You have now officially completed your first trimester to enter the second, the favorite among most pregnant women.
The growing organs like liver and kidney continue to practice their respective work of producing bile and urine while the spleen begins red blood cell production [1]. The brain is now developed enough to send regular impulses, so the facial muscles get a workout as your baby changes expressions from squinting, frowning and grimacing [4]. The connective tissues all along the fetus’s body start turning into bones as the ossification process begins [5]. The growth of the roof of the mouth is now complete while the facial muscles continue to grow. The transparent skin gradually gets covered with a thin layer of downy hair (lanugo) that maintains the fetal body temperature [7]. The skin around your abdomen, back and chest has already started to stretch to accommodate the constantly growing uterus [11].
Your growing belly is gradually starting to show as you are more likely to find maternity pants to be cozier than your regular pair of baggy jeans. An ultrasound scan performed this week will show your baby moving his hands and legs while sucking on his tiny thumb [1].
Although some parents choose to find out about their baby’s gender by observing the genital organs through ultrasound during the 14th week, it is often too early for sex determination [5]. Your doctor might recommend having a triple screen test or maternal serum screening this week.
The higher energy levels [10], increasing appetite [6] and receding morning sickness (nausea, vomiting) [15] are some of the best things about the beginning of the second trimester.
Now that you have entered the second trimester, chances of complications such as a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy have dropped substantially (over 75% of miscarriages occur within the first three months) [22].

In case of severe muscle and leg cramps, consult with your doctor regarding increasing your potassium and calcium intake. Full term pregnancy is considered 280 days counted from the first day of a your last period. Hectic life of gearing up for my two girls to go back to school plus the stresses of finding our new home as we are set to move October 1st and the better half’s birthday made last week one that flew by before my eyes! With moving, two older children, work and a bazillion other things on my plate I have to really organize my time to prepare for this baby because at this rate he or she will be here tomorrow, or so it seems! I still need so much as my last baby is now 8 years old and everything I did have was donated to others as I didn’t expect to be having anymore babies!
I was lucky to not get any with my previous two pregnancies so I am hoping the luck continues. I am not sure who’s apartment it is coming from but I gag every time I step out in the hallway to go someone or am coming home. I was really craving a McFlurry one night and when the better half went to McDonalds the machine was broken which broken my heart. I guess it is a blessing in disguise as I doubt I will be 80 years old with a belly ring so eventually it would have had to come out, just a little sooner than I had planned!
It’s normal to feel some pain, but if it continues for a few days or escalates, talk to your doctor about it.
Feel free to take the pregnancy survey and leave your answers in the comment section below to share your pregnancy journey with us! The sale for $13.97 however is over BUT the coupon is good until September 6th so if a sale pops up before then it would be great!
She DID give me those $10 off coupons but I only managed to grab myself one box, wishing I had gotten more! My oldest is 11 as well and youngest is 8 so completely feel your pain on having to get all the baby stuff all over again (expensive!).
The fingers and toes are now completely defined and although the action is still not quite visible yet if the baby is a girl ovaries begin to form this week or in in the case of a boy the testes. That means of course it is time to re-visit that healthy eating plan to make sure that all the food you can now face is packed with plenty of the right stuff, the nutrients that both you and Baby need and not too many empty calories. The constant need for the loo, the gas, the bloated feeling, the constant tiredness they are probably all still around. Usually food sits better in your growing belly if you eat several small meals a day rather than three huge ones and then add a snack or two as well.
That really is a temptation you should avoid though in order to keep our healthy eating plan on track. Although many women are not too happy when they look in the mirror right now these weekly changes really are something to be celebrated – and to be recorded. You are also surviving those mood swings and learning not to take everything that she says personally. Going to overboard may just aggravate her though (crazy but true) as she may think that you are just trying to cheer her up if you comment on how wonderful she looks every minute of the day. It is often claimed to be the least problematic trimester among the three with milder symptoms and some positive physical signs.
Male fetuses continue to grow the prostate while in female fetuses the ovaries start gradually to move into the pelvis [2].
The hardening of the bone is a long and complex procedure that continues after the baby is born and even into his adulthood. The sucking reflexes of your baby help with the muscle growth, later forming the full cherubic cheeks [8]. This is also the week when hair sprouts on top of your baby’s head along with tiny eyebrows [9]. You can even feel the fundus or the very top of the uterus when you gently press down the area above the pelvic bone in the lower abdomen [12]. However, there are still a few weeks to go before anyone can notice that you are pregnant [14].
This serum test is used for checking the fetal development as well as screening for birth defects like Down’s syndrome [9]. Several other symptoms such as insomnia and frequent urination also start getting better as the uterus moves away from the pelvic bone and bladder [16], into a more proper place in the abdomen.
Some women claim that having some milk or fruits like bananas and strawberries can help ease the pain [17]. It is not intended to replace medical advice from your physician, doctor or health care professional. Honestly I think I have used like 20 cans of Febreze trying to nip the smell in the butt but it always returns.

I was looking at the Babies R Us sale this week but didn’t see anything that looked like a great deal. Couponing is a great way to save money and you are in good hands here at Extreme Couponing Mom – have you checked out our coupon database and weekly match-ups?
You are eating fro two but that second person is just a few centimetres long and only really needs you to consume about 350 calories more than you did before pregnancy. The good news however is that there should not be too many new surprises this week although the feelings of lightheadedness may increase as your body draws even more blood to get the business of baby growing kicked into an even higher gear soon.
If you take a few minutes every week to snap a shot of your burgeoning belly (it does not have to be Vanity Fair cover risque!) years from now you, and your child, will get a lot of enjoyment out of looking back on an album like this. The windpipe, esophagus, vocal cords and larynx are already in place, set to undergo further development.
The growing neck helps to lift the chin from the chest while the eyes and ears are almost in their final positions [6].
However, the color and texture of the hair is likely to change completely after your baby is born. Make sure to make healthy food choices to avoid any unwanted weight gain, especially now that your food aversions have finally started to go away. You might start showing early if you are carrying twins, or this is your subsequent pregnancy. A Doppler ultrasound will allow you to hear your baby’s heartbeat, which is a fast fluttering sound at the moment.
Things like individual pots of yougurt, small packets of nuts, trail mix, vegetable sticks with a great dip all travel well and are light and nutrition. However, it is not possible for your baby to make any sound as he is floating in amniotic fluid [3].
The ideal weight gain at this stage ranges between 5 pounds and 8 pounds or even less for obese women [13]. Your little ones heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop. Even if it is used in a joking way this is the one word that could get you seriously injured! Soon you will start feeling the first flutters of the unborn child kicking and moving within.14 weeks - The fetus is 3 and half inches (9cm) long. Your baby may have already discovered their first toy ~ the umbilical cord, which they enjoy pulling and grabbing on.
The circulatory system and urinary tract are in full working order, and your baby is inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid through their lungs. The ears are developing, the cheekbones are visible and the first hair is appearing.15 weeks - The fetus has an adult's taste buds and may be able to savor the mother's meals.
The baby's thin skin is covered with ultra fine, downy hair (Lanugo) that usually disappears before birth.16 weeks - The foetus weighs now three and half ounces and is 5 inches crown to rump.
The baby can grasp with his hands, kick, or even somersault.17 weeks - The baby's circulatory system and urinary tract are up and operating. The lungs are inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid.18 weeks - The foetus is now 6 inches long and weighs 6 ounces. With and ultrasound you can decide whether or not to find out the sex of your baby if your baby is in a position that reveals the genitals.
If male, the genitals are discernable.19 weeks - Baby's legs are reaching their relative size and with the increase muscle development occurring as well, you will start feeling much more than tiny flutter kicks soon. Your baby will increase its weight by more than 15 times between now and delivery.20 weeks - The child can hear and recognize the mother's voice. This is an important time for sensory development since nerve cells serving each of the senses--taste, smell, hearing, seeing, and touch are now developing into their specialized area of the brain. If you talk, read, or sing to your baby, it's reasonable to expect him to be able to hear you.23 weeks - The fetus is now proportioned like a newborn except he is a thinner version of a newborn baby since its baby fat hasn't developed yet.
The baby weighs about a pound and is around 12 inches in length.24 weeks - The unborn baby is covered with a fine, downy hair and the skin is protected by a waxy substance.
Some of this substance may still be on the child's skin at birth at which time it will be quickly absorbed. It is now pretty well built portion wise even though it still has little body fat and its skin is thin.
The brain is growing rapidly, and the baby is starting to fill the space in your uterus.26 weeks - The fetus makes breathing movements, but there's no air in the lungs yet.
