The government has decided that stock limit will be imposed on such warehouses in regards to pulses, edible oils and edible oilseeds.
However, three categories will be exempted from stock limit — stockists who export, those who store raw material for food processing and those who supply to retail trade.

Continuing their selling spree, foreign investors have pulled out nearly Rs 5,500 crore from stock markets since the beginning of the month on worries of an interest rate hike by the US Federal Reserve.
Foreign investments are considered crucial for India, which needs around USD 1 trillion in the next five years to overhaul its infrastructure sector such as ports, airports and highways, to boost growth.
