A 2 day course is available to corporate clients if requested. Please contact us if you would like details regarding conditions and prices for this option. Please note, the Australian Resuscitation Council recommends that refresher CPR courses be done every year. The majority of the theory is completed prior to the course via a pre-learning pack with the aid of a workbook (or during training sessions as part of a 14 hour face-to-face program). Practical assessments are done through role-plays and work-place simulations where possible.
Students must demonstrate competency in all sections to qualify for a Statement of Attainment. The aim of the course is to provide everyone with the knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver basic life saving techniques in an emergency situation. It is designed for anyone and everyone who may be required to provide emergency aid to family or work colleagues until more qualified help arrives. The course covers those areas required by HSE, which include a wide range of situations and how to deal with them.
Our Instructors are all professionally qualified and have practical experience in both first aid care and training.
There is no formal assessment at the end of the course as ongoing observation and assessment is made by the training staff.

Commenting on the unusual location Matt explained “our short training courses are highly specialist and very popular. Clyde Marine Training have been asked to carry out further courses in the Falklands and Matt will make the journey again in May, the start of winter in the South Atlantic.
This course is designed to raise supervisors' awareness of safety issues within the work place in order to minimise accidents and reduce FLT downtime through better inspection and maintenance of trucks. The course aims to give responsible persons adequate training in aspects of health and safety, monitoring standards and documentations necessary to cover Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidance and use of equipment so that companies can comply with legislation. Learners will have the ability to make suggestions to senior managers and operators regarding training needs.
Successful completion of the course will allow the learner to access qualified Fork Lift Truck operators within the workplace and give informant feedback on driving standards. At the end of the course candidates participate in a Q&A session held by the instructor to test their knowledge before returning to the work environment.

Just for your information, Intermediate First Aid Training Courses located in Training Courses category and this post was created on December 18, 2014. We normally hold them around the UK and Ireland so I’m no stranger to travelling but this was certainly a longer journey than usual.
