Installation

  1. Extract the StreetRacerDemo for BlackBerry ZIP file into a temporary location on your hard drive.
  2. Start the RIM Desktop Manager that was provided with your RIM device.
  3. Choose Application Loader.
  4. Choose Add Available Optional Applications and browse to the location of the unzipped files.
  5. Select the StreetRacerDemo.alx file to begin the installation.
  6. Launch StreetRacerDemo!

Question:  
I receive a message like "No additional applications designed for your handheld were found" or "No actions required"

First solution:  
For installing the application please unzip the received zipped file in a directory on your hard disk and not on the desktop. You should end up having a .cod file, a .alx file and this readme file.

Second solution (most probable):  
Your desktop PC does not have the wireless handheld software installed.
The Blackberry Desktop Manager alone is insufficient for installing third-party applications onto your BlackBerry as you also need a copy of the "handheld code", "handheld software" or "wireless handheld (software)" installed on your desktop computer. The handheld code is generally carrier-specific and we recommended that you visit your carrier's website to obtain the version optimized for your device. You can also download it from www.blackberry.com In order to install the handheld code on your desktop PC, please follow the carrier provided instructions. After installation make sure to reboot the desktop PC. From this moment on, any third-party software like StreetRacerDemo will install smoothly onto your handheld. Third solution:  
In the Desktop Manager's Application Loader, if StreetRacerDemo appears in the list of applications, even if it is unchecked, highlight it, click Delete, click Yes, click Next, then click Finish. The Application Loader will ensure that the prior product is completely and cleanly deinstalled. Now try to install the current version of StreetRacerDemo.

Software License Agreement

This is a legal agreement between you, the end user, and Stefan Burghelea. Read this agreement very carefully. If you do not wish to accept this agreement, you may not use StreetRacerDemo on a device or software emulator.

  1. Grant Of License
    This License permits you to use StreetRacerDemo on any single BlackBerry device, provided the software is installed on only one BlackBerry device at any time.

  2. Copyright
    The software is owned by Stefan Burghelea and is protected by Romanian copyright laws, international treaty provisions, and all other applicable national laws. You may not modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to discover the code and algorithms of the software.

  3. Other Restrictions
    You may not rent or lease the software, but you may transfer your rights under this license agreement on a permanent basis provided you transfer all copies of the software and all written materials and the recipient agrees to the terms of this license.

  4. No Warranty
    The software is delivered as is and Stefan Burghelea makes no warranty as to its use or performance. Stefan Burghelea does not, and cannot warrant the performance or results you may obtain by using the Software or its documentation. Stefan Burghelea makes no warranties, express or implied, as to noninfringement of third party rights, merchantability, or fitness for any particular purpose. In no event will Stefan Burghelea be liable to you for any consequential, incidental or special damages, or for any claim by any third party.

Stefan Burghelea takes no responsibility for any adverse effect that this software could cause to your machine or the data on it: backup important data before using StreetRacerDemo. StreetRacerDemo is protected by copyright laws and international copyright treaties, as well as other intellectual property laws and treaties. StreetRacerDemo is licensed, not sold.
You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble this software.
Stefan Burghelea's and his suppliers’ entire liability and your exclusive remedy shall be, at Stefan Burghelea’s option, the replacement of the product that does not meet the warranty and which is returned to Stefan Burghelea with a copy of your receipt. This warranty is void if failure of the product has resulted from accident, abuse, or misapplication. Any replacement software product will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or thirty (30) days, whichever is longer. These remedies are not available without proof of purchase from an authorized source.
