ExtasisROBERTO CAVALLI!… My favorite Designer!Click Photo to see the web page of ROBERTO CAVALLI! I first learned yoga with Acharya at the University of New South Wales, Kensington, in 1993, where I was then studying.
I trained as a yoga teacher under Acharya’s direction in 2002 and, at his request, taught classes for him. I am passionate about yoga and all that it makes possible and I am excited to finally return to teaching to share this passion with others. Sujata was born and educated in India with a strong foundation in ancient yoga texts, especially the Bhagavad Gita. She joined yoga classes with Acharya in 2001 and after diligent practice, was personally invited by Acharya to commence teacher training in 2002.
Sujata has contributed to the book – ‘Teachings on Hatha & Raja Yoga, Acharya Upendra Roy’.
Hatha yoga teacher and practitioner Sarah Hyland has made this her philosophy for the past 15 years. Sarah began studying yoga in the late 1990s, and was advised to go as close to the original source of a yoga discipline as possible.
In Sydney, the most authentic authority on Hatha yoga was Acharya Upendra Roy, and Sarah began studying with him in 1998. Three years later she started teaching Hatha yoga under Acharya’s supervision, and completed her teacher training in 2006.
Since then, Sarah has travelled the world and studied with many different teachers and styles in India, the United States and Australia.

Sarah believes the regular practice of Hatha yoga has given her more confidence in her body; and a deeper calmness from the combination of relaxation, deep breathing, postures and meditation, to help face life’s daily challenges.
Sarah brings to this class not only her knowledge of physical wellbeing, but a passionate belief in the healing powers of yoga for the body, mind and spirit. Cristina attended her first yoga class eight years ago, but It wasn’t regular due to her busy life working in the corporate world.
During these years she gained experience and certificates including massage therapy and energy healing, which gives her more understanding of the human body and how to adjust her classes for different types of people and their needs. While she enjoyed both of these trainings her true love from the moment she discovered it was specifically Jivamukti yoga.
You will be encouraged to relax through breathing and visualisation at the beginning of the class. You will be encouraged to move into varied yoga postures, with breathing and body awareness. You will be instructed in the practice of varied Guided Meditation techniques at the end of the class.
You will be encouraged to respect your capacities, and you will not be judged by your teacher in anyway during the class.
Both these classes are suitable for those who need a relaxed class, stress relief, recovery from injury or are beginning yoga. Yoga found its natural home in Dahab when, not long ago, it was a real hippy and hang out for alternative living. Come and try it, have some fun and maybe even learn something new about yourself – who knows where it might lead you!
I quickly made the transition from campus to the city, to practice at Acharya’s yoga studio. I then gave up teaching as the demands of legal practice and, later, motherhood, took over. Yoga is, in my experience, the ultimate portal to good health, balance and creative possibilities. Through this, it becomes possible to let go of mental attitudes that no longer serve and to embrace all endeavours with greater clarity and creativity. She has been teaching classical Hatha Yoga and Raja Yoga to both beginners and advanced students for over 11 years.
But she always returns to the wisdom she gained from Acharya’s teachings, as a well-rounded daily practice of Hatha yoga.
Years later she decided to change her busy and stressful life for one more calm and peaceful, coming to Sydney where she started a regular practice and got hooked. You will never be asked to overstretch, move with pain, or do anything you feel uncomfortable with; our classes are designed to nurture you. Each class begins with 15 to 20 minute relaxation, followed by 40 to 45 minutes of Yoga postures. Today there are more and more yoga courses and classes going on and if you want to feel fit during your holiday you can take a look at the Yoga classes you can join near Eldorado Lodge.

This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures—a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The yoga practice felt like “home” to my mind and body and has been a central way of life ever since.
I continue to balance professional life and motherhood with my teaching and yoga practice, which remains the foundation on which I draw strength in all areas of life. This involves the 84 classical asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing), kriyas, meditation, chanting and yoga philosophy. Two years ago she decided became a yoga teacher and travel for the first time to India where she learnt authentic yoga philosophy and practice living in an Ashram during her Yoga Teacher Training. Finally with the encouragement of her teachers at Jivamuki Yoga Sydney she traveled to India to complete the Jivamukti Yoga teacher training. Jovana is also extremely passionate about music and has been a DJ and a music events promoter in the past. Recently I came across my colleague’s articles on the scientific evidence for the benefits of yoga (Growing Scientific Evidence of Benefits of Yoga) and that made me inquisitive. The class ends with a 10 to 15 minute Meditation which may include breathing practices, visualisation or mudras. Since then she discovered she wanted to spread the knowledge she learned of this ancient practice and keep learning, which took her back to India, this time Rishikesh where she completed her 500hr Yoga teacher Training. In her classes she enjoys selecting an inspirational music soundtrack to go with the practice. Jovana feels very blessed and honored to be a Jivamukti yoga teacher and part of global Jivamukti yoga community. I found a series of both phase 1 and phase 2 clinical trials being conducted to test yoga as a treatment. However,  researchers are intrigued by the mechanisms of how yoga works and are conducting several clinical studies to study the mechanisms behind the benefits of yoga.
When our body undergoes stress – physical or psychological, a number of stress hormones and other chemicals are released into our system, which in the long run are responsible for several of our lifestyle related health problems.
For example persistently high levels of stress hormones like cortisol, norepinephrine, and epinephrine can lead to diabetes, and hypertension.
Cytokines, chemicals produced during stress are implicated in the development of multiple diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, depression, and possibly even cancer, as well as the general health decline that accompanies aging.
