Affirmations are powerful positive words and statements that repeated over time, can change your perceptions and empower you to make more positive choices and decisions in your life.
Our internal programming creates the thoughts that run over and over continually in our minds telling us who we are and what we deserve.
The only catch with positive affirmations for them to work is that you already have to open to the possibility of them being true. However, after years of feeling the guilt, hating on myself and my body, I have learned other methods to deal with these particular feelings that ALL individuals face from time-to-time. I hope you know by now that my intention in being who I am in the world, is to share myself, as vulnerable and honestly as possible while helping others transform their lives. I promise you the act itself, will make you feel more confident, lighter, more free and the one who is directing your life! So I invite you to work through these “healthy purge” or “spring cleaning of your life” steps and watch how your who world (inner and outer) begins to shift! Is this unnatural and we should be firmer, more stoic and avoid all contact - but where would that leave us? Is this a side issue or the main issue at the time - just an act in a play or a full color HD movie and we are the main player?
How do we assess ourselves as a whole - are we on a level playing field with firm, solid foundations?
Is the emotion just another thing - and in some cases the straw that breaks the camel's back?
Where are we at or what are we doing or what are we feeling when the 'emotive strike' occurs? When beset with such an army of 'attackers' of different types, of different ferocity, of different shades of black and grey - what can we do? Yet even when we are in there deep and feeling lost and alone, there are moments or periods of happiness and joy that we can experience and take solace, strength and support from. We have lived through many, many similar situations before and need to take comfort, strength and belief in ourselves from those experiences. On these web pages I intend to look more closely at some of the above feelings and sensations in a bit more detail. Perhaps by understanding the processes a little better we may see the wood for the trees and be able to handle this aspect of life in a more productive, pleasing and satisfactory way.


Do we really want to be down-trodden, battered and bruised, cut and graized by our emotions and left for the winds of life to swirl around us as we lie prone and vulnerable.
Our feelings may serve a real purpose - which admittedly may not be that clear at the time - that may help us to move us on in our lives. Give yourself the credit for having the strength, resolve and abilities to meet the challenges of life - in whatever form they may appear. They say the worst thing we can do is react emotionally when an obstacle rears its ugly head.
If you’ll remember the last time your emotions overwhelmed you, you will also remember that your ability to think clearly went right out the window until you could calm down. But there is also an appropriate time for engaging our minds, and that’s when obstacles become evident. Instead, observe it and observe your emotions, then make a conscious decision to engage your mind, not your heart. We are programmed by what our parents say to us, what our teachers, friends, relatives and even acquaintances say to us. If you listen to negative messages, over time these can lead to not only you making poor life choices but can support illness and negative situations in your life.  Likewise, positive messages bring health, healing, abundance and prosperity. Our beliefs are a part of this and the negative programming and beliefs that we have block the pure, positive, creative and abundant source energy that naturally flows through us. If you are saying something positive but your mind is telling you that that affirmation is not true, the affirmation will not work for you, at least right away.
If you are negating the words in your mind, it will take a lot of listening of the positive thoughts for them to convince your mind that they are true.
Once your block is cracked, the subconscious then is able to re-examine the core belief pattern.
While our logical conscious brain loves the game play of jokes and words, the very simple and impressionable subconscious brain, which is the real governor of our automatic habitual decisions and actions, does not get jokes, puns, sarcasm or negative messages.  It takes what it hears at face value. You can transform your life, heal yourself, create abundance and success in your life, travel the world and live your dreams. For whatever it is that you desire to happen in the future, state it as if it is happening right now. In the past, I used to turn to food to deal with every single one of my emotions, being overwhelmed and anxious at the top of that list. Watch how once you begin to shift your outer world, while working on your inner world, things will transform for you. Are you ready to clear out all the junk, so you can laser focus on what you want to do to improve your relationship with yourself, your body, the food that you eat & your life? Well, we can of course ignore our feelings, but is this the same as ignoring the fast moving train coming out of the tunnel towards us?
But we should at least recognize them, give them due and reasonable credit and deal with them in as dispassionate manner as we can muster.
My aim will be to unravel some of the myths and to help us all to seem them in an easier and more welcoming light.
If we can invite them into our life or at least accept their existence and learn from their coming then this whole part of human life may well be more worthwhile for us. What are we to do about the obstacles that present themselves in our lives and how can we overcome obstacles?
It’s sometimes tempting to let yourself focus on the emotional reaction to a problem, but that, as we can see, is not helpful.


An idea that is presented over and over to us will gradually become part of our deep belief system and internal subconscious programming, whether it is true or not.
Affirmations help to clear these negative programs and blocks within us, allowing us to both consciously and subconsciously make empowering, healthful and life enhancing decisions. It is exciting, and sometimes even shocking and startling when this happens, and then new inner truths can be planted and allowed to grow.
Do not use words such as don’t, can’t, won’t or not, as the brain does not pick up on them. Pick 2 times that work for you, such as early in the morning and before going to sleep, to repeat your affirmations. I don’t know everything and just because I have conquered my relationship with my body and food (which you can do too!), I still have lots of learning and growing to do.
This in turn will help my health, business, relationship with myself, my body, food, others and in turn my overall life.

That we can actually learn a little from their appearance rather than just fall prey to successive waves of feelings, anxieties, joy, love, hate, good, bad in varying quantities and guises. If, however, we fight them tooth and nail, all the way to the very foundation walls of our existence - where does that really leave us?
The more we are exposed to positive thoughts and ideas, the more our basic underlying programming will be empowering and will assist us subconsciously to make the most empowering, healthful and beneficial choices. Your beliefs are not necessarily true, they are simply what you think (believe) to be true. Developing a positive mindset using positive thinking techniques is one of the most powerful life changing strategies there is. If I need to focus on something and music is distracting, I often light candles and have a warm tea beside me. Plot there own roller coaster ride course and then, perhaps when we are finally close to coping with the situation, and getting on top of the situation we find ourselves in, the feeling is off.
Surrounding yourself with positive words will make you stronger and change your perceptions of yourself and the world around you. Leaving us in a slightly (or more) battered state and prone to other outside 'influences' that may wish to come visit us or will see us as fair game. Positive messages, or affirmations, will enhance your life and enable you to subconsciously make the wisest, most healthful, prosperous and positive choices.
If we put our sentiments aside and focus on our life we can learn to really make a difference.
Once we accept an idea as true, our mind automatically sets out looking for evidence to support it.
This evidence, which always leans in favor of the belief, helps to cement the belief into your subconscious. Positive words, thoughts, ideas, messages will help create more positive, healthy and empowering beliefs.
