Research has shown that FaceBook and other social media outlets could be the connection to unhappiness throughout society.
Psychologists agreed with the findings and said that FaceBook has long been strongly associated with a decline in people’s emotional well being. In an ironic twist, social media has somehow caused people to be less social; a substitute for the real thing.
With all the social technologies at one’s fingertips, people appear more connected; but in actuality they are more disconnected than ever before. Researchers from the University of Michigan gathered 82 female young adults for the assessment. The participants were questioned about their emotional state after only communicating by way of social networks or texting as opposed to having face to face interactions. The ability to build and preserve healthy relationships is the single most important dynamic which determines how people flow in every area of life. Study leader Ethan Kross said that on the surface it appears that Facebook would provide a great resource for fulfilling everyone’s basic need for social connection. Volunteers were also required to clarify their level of happiness at the beginning as well as the end of the study. Research has determined that Social media has the ability to make many people less social and unhappy because ironically it often disconnects them from the real world. As a research psychologist I have a problem with this study and the way its conclusions have been played out through the media. I am happy to send a copy of this article, recently published in the journal Computers in Human Behavior.
There is a persistent belief among many that unhappiness and stress can lead to ill health and even increase your risk of death. The research was conducted using the UK Million Women Study, a national study in collaboration with the National Health Service and Cancer Research UK of more than one million women over the age of 50.
Over the next decade, these women were followed using electronic records of mortality, during which time around 30,000 of them died. The researchers, however, are not confident that their findings will cause a shift in the public’s perception of this issue. Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton and the Democrats' dilemma: Does the party even care about big ideas anymore? University of Pennsylvania researchers Betsey Stevenson and Justin Wolfers studied the happiness of women in the United States from the 1970s through present day and found an astounding conclusion: the more society accommodated women, gave them jobs, and scholarships, and supported them living single, and encouraged them to pursue their own private dreams and goals, to dress and act as masculine as they wanted to, and to shun any ideas of universal beauty or happiness in pursuit of their own private desires, the LESS happy they were. If you listen to Western propaganda, you believe that America is at the forefront of helping women by allowing them to vote, paying them the same as men, regardless of their performance, encouraging them to enter the workforce, giving them special advantages with divorce laws, and offering them the opportunity to be lesbians, or men, or invalids, or whatever they want to do.
Despite what you have heard, the idea of romantic love and choosing who you will marry is a VERY new idea, really taking off in the West during the Victorian Era (1837-1901).
The man received a payment from the bride’s family known as a dowry in order to help care for her. In the Victorian Era, what many consider the peak of Western civilization, romantic love became an option for some.
The closest most couples got to an un-chaperoned date was sitting together on the front porch, with the girl’s parents indoors, which was allowed by the family once the man was approved.
But, what if there is a reason that virginity is universally valued throughout the world in all cultures, that rules and customs for behavior between the sexes existed throughout history, and that religion and other institutions were established to have women subservient to men?
As Norah Vincent discovered in her book Self Made Man, where she spent one year living as a man, females are very unhappy when living a masculine life.
Over the past 30 years, women’s education levels have risen and then surpassed men, contraception offered them control over fertility and allowed them to freely have premarital sex, technology and modern appliances have taken over many domestic duties, women have made huge advances in the workforce, and in many cases out-earn men. If feminism is not making women any happier, what is the point?  It has already resulted in fatter, less pleasant, sluttier, uglier, less loyal women which makes men very unhappy.

As Roosh pointed out recently, an advanced, first world, modern society may not lead to happiness. OK I’ll give them #2, a fulfilling life is universally desirable, but the rest are valueless rat race goals that will only continue to deny them the four major grievances above.
Further, they are pushing for sex segregation in malls and hospitals, the only two public places where segregation currently does not exist.  The only places men and women work together are medical colleges, some hospitals and some banks.
The image in the West is that we are dominated by men, but they always forget the aspect of love. If feminism is a failure for both men and women, then the only logical conclusion is that every patriarchal society was correct.  What can we do?  While some argue that life is better overseas and that the West is a lost cause (and I will not disagree), whenever we encounter younger impressionable women we should shame and educate them that their career, snarkiness, sarcasm, and educational degree is of zero value to men. There are millions of children who spend most of their days feeling more unhappy than happy, and their parents haven't got a clue as to why. The book tries to make parents aware of the kinds of experiences that cause children to become unhappy. Scientist found that over a two week period, the more time people spent on the number one social network the unhappier they became.
It’s been proven that the ability to establish healthy relationships is the most important factor in how every area of life flows. In order to communicate effectively and establish authentic relationships people need more than 140 characters or a ‘like’ button. Their answers collectively pointed to a more fulfilling or happier life when they had the opportunity to connect in person with other people. The ever evolving social media platform allows people the ability create an illusion by projecting any image they want.
If the dynamics of the relationships people pursue are not authentic, they won’t bring any real value in one’s life. The new paper, published in The Lancet, looked at how the participants’ illness related to their happiness over a period of 10 years.
The dogged myth that unhappiness causes ill health likely has roots in the idea that stress can induce heart problems.
Taking into account other health risks, such as smoking and obesity, the researchers found that the death rate of those who recorded themselves as unhappy was no different to those who said they were. While the negative effects of feminism may be obvious to any man who has traveled abroad and seen feminine, kind, loving, happy women with long hair, heels, and a strong commitment to their family, there is now scientific evidence proving that the cock carousel is disastrous for family life and women are LESS happy when given all the freedom feminism has provided them. Before that time, almost all marriages were arranged by the parents, and marriages occurred very early, girls as young as 12 and boys as young as 17 (note that even then a five year age difference minimum was enforced).
A non-virginal woman would not only never be chosen for marriage, she was actually prohibited to marry in most Christian orders.
One can imagine that if cars were common in this era, women certainly would have been prohibited to travel in them alone.
Sure, I like women, and if they want to be free to pursue whatever dream they have, you go girl!
What if women were actually happier when they didn’t have to worry about writing TPS reports, multitasking, balancing a budget, and finding emotional fulfillment?
Social changes have accepted lesbianism, out-of-wedlock births, trannys, tattoos, piercings and neon hair. But if it’s demonstrably destroying the family unit while also clearly making women themselves miserable, shouldn’t it be thrown out tomorrow and the patriarchy restored? Indeed, if we examine the Gross National Happiness, a phrase coined in 1972 by Bhutan’s King, who balanced every modern invention with the overall impact it would have on his people, we find that first world nations score poorly. Feminism is causing irreversible damage in the West, and many women are beginning to question it.  Their voices should be applauded and echoed so others can join the movement to end this disease. We recommend you use it when communicating with fellow "thought criminals." You'll receive no more than one message a day concerning relevant news and articles.

These chronically unhappy children may be on their way to developing a depressive disorder. Condrell has treated, the book tries to bridge the separate worlds of the growing child and parents, so mom and dad can discover the secret pain that children are so good at keeping from them. With this knowledge, parents can be proactive and protect their sons and daughters from entering a state of unhappiness that places them at risk for becoming depressed and possibly developing into depressed adults. The evaluation took place over a two week period where each participant was sent questions throughout the day. The truth is, many go through great lengths for pseudo online relationships while hiding who they really are. Most have learned how miserable life really can be when cut off from meaningful connections. The result of this assessment is of vital importance because it speaks to the negative influence that only communicating by social media has the potential to produce in a person’s life.
What we found, after factoring out many potential alternative explanations, was that while more use of Facebook and more Facebook friends did predict more symptoms of many disorders, it actually predicted, along with more time spent using the telephone for calls, FEWER symptoms of both dysthymia and major depression. To investigate this, the researchers sent questionnaires to women who were part of the UK Million Women Study. Because of the size of the study, it means that any observed increase in mortality among those who were unhappy cannot be seen as a direct cause.
A virginal woman was absolutely required or else she became a spinster dependent on her parents for the rest of her life. After meeting a woman, it was not appropriate for the man to speak to her for a period of some time. If you want stability and safety in your life, if you want a husband who takes care of you, you won’t find it except in Islam. Condrell tries to teach both parents and mental health professionals the ten most common, yet sometimes not-so-obvious causes of childhood unhappiness. The internet eliminates voice, face and body expression; thereby hindering others to gain the important and powerful distinctions that often contradict words.
Life’s greatest success comes from initiating relationships with the right people and then strengthening them by being authentic.
I think that the use of a single question to determine mental health may be misleading if you see in our study how Facebook use provided both positive and negative predictors of various aspects of mental health. Despite this reversal of the well-established myth, the researchers think that because the notion is so deep-seated, their results might not actually change much of the public’s mentality. Every three to five years, they were asked to self-rate their health, happiness, stress, feeling of control, and if they felt relaxed or not. Courting took place exclusively at the girl’s home, and always under the watchful eye of the parents. More important, he offers practical solutions--solutions that can help troubled children and protect them from a lifetime of unhappiness. The inability to access these important nonverbal cues, their audience doesn’t have a clue. The vast majority of participants said that they felt happy in general, but around one in six said that they were generally unhappy. Not planning the next thing, or dwelling on the last thing? The present moment sounds like a familiar, ordinary place we live. The truth is, we spend hardly any time in the present moment.Oddly enough, the quality of our life has nothing to do with the events that happen to us, as much as how we are conditioned to experience what happens to us.
