I’ve mastered kefir and sourdough (well, not mastered, but I can make them reasonably well…), but I have yet to attempt kombucha! I probably should have clarified that I want to be able to do these things reasonably well. January 6, 2015 by Becki I shared how I did with my 2014 goals last week and thought I’d share my 2015 goals too. My priorities are:  God, my husband, my children (including homeschooling), our home, my health, and our supplemental income opportunities. Read 12 read alouds to the children in the year and at least 10 picture books a month to the younger two.

She takes joy in spending her days creating memorable moments with her husband, conducting kitchen experiments, researching every natural alternative known to man, and making her little boys laugh.
These goals I have set are in hopes of creating habits, a rhythm to my days that bring purpose for me. Both my kefir and sourdough have been hibernating for the past couple of months, though, and I need to get them out and going again. My friend and fellow dietitian Maryann from Raise Healthy Eaters just published an insanely helpful book called What to Cook for Dinner with Kids: How to Simplify, Strategize and Stop Agonizing Over Family Dinners.

I really like how you break your goals into different focus areas, and I’m enjoying the eBook very much!
I’ve never had it but I got a free starter and some tea from the healthy living bundle this past Fall. When I started with it a couple of years ago I knew you could do bread, biscuits, and pancakes, but now I make cookies, cake, pie crust, crackers, chips, batter for things like onion rings, and on it goes.
