Inside the meditation centre, paintings and wall hangings portraying Buddhist teachings, painted sacred symbols and shelves containing money offerings and prayers wrapped in orange cloth smother the walls in splashes of color.
Swastikas (a holy symbol of good fortune in Buddhism) and Yin Yang (a symbol representing perfect balance) also adorn the outside. Our center offers public meditation, a core curriculum of Shambhala Buddhist teachings, as well as training in advanced contemplative practices. These roles are vitally important to the function of our center, because they make group meditation possible. This nature can be developed in daily life so that it radiates out to family, friends, community and society.
