The human race is the progeny of the Sun and Earth.  We are unique among the galaxies of life, yet an integral part of the whole cosmos. But what would life be like if the history of our Earth had been different?  Would there even be anyone here to ask these questions today? A super massive black hole of about 1,000,000 solar masses may exist at the center.  Our Galaxy contains about 200 billion stars.
In order to satisfy Kepler’s 3rd law of motion the Earth would have to revolve in orbit around this new Sun once every 298 days.  So one year would no longer be 365 ? days, instead it would be somewhat shorter. The new Sun would emit more infrared radiation than our present one, causing the average surface temperature on Earth to be 20o hotter.  That is enough to evaporate substantially more water into the atmosphere, causing an increased green house effect, which would make life on the Earth’s surface uninhabitable for humans and most other creatures. When the Earth formed about 4.5 billion years ago its original atmosphere consisted mostly of small amounts of hydrogen and helium.
Trace constituents of water, hydrogen cyanide, methane, sulfur and chlorine were also present.
Plant life in the oceans and on the Earth’s surface converted much of the remaining carbon dioxide into oxygen and other nutrients.  Photosynthesis powers this wonderful transformation.
Today we live in a symbiotic relationship with plant life on this beautiful planet.  Don’t upset this delicate balance. So to answer the question if we lived on the Earth 1 billion years ago, we would all have to be vegetarians (a good thing) but the ultraviolet radiation and other environmental factors would have prevented us from existing as a human race. Well for starters, we could do away with the various myths that our civilizations have developed over the years, such as werewolves that come out at full moon, and peoples mental psyche (being lunatic) being disturbed by a full moon.  There would also be a major dent in how astrologers predicted the future as the Moon’s celestial influence would no longer be present. Animals that use the Moon for navigational purposes or for timing reproductive cycles would have to evolve other mechanisms. We would still have tides on the Earth produced by the Sun’s influence, but they would be radically smaller. What’s between our ears dictates how we see and interpret the world.  Do we see the beautiful sunrise and the promise of our children’s lives, or do we see another day of drudgery work, pain, and scrimping to meet our survival needs?  The world is as you are. In this blog posting we have seen that different events (the “what if” scenarios) occurring on the Earth would have shaped the appearance of intelligent life on this planet with a radically different outcome. So take advantage of this wonderful opportunity and meditate every day.  Help steer the human race onto ever greater heights of love, harmony and bliss. As the summer of life blossoms cease the opportunity to share earthly resources with your neighbor, in the sublime spirit of friendship.  Break down cultural, religious and mental barriers to see the world as it is, operating free from human judgment and misconception. All of the wondrous and beautiful qualities of flowers spring from a single source, their colorless sap.  So to, the colorless and formless value of absolute life gives rise to the multiplicity of creation.
Because of their beauty and delicate structure flowers have become a key part of human civilization.
There are over 600 species of this beautiful flower.  Thought to have healing powers, ancient peoples believed that the odor given off by its burning leaves would drive away evil spirits. Cultivated for the last 2,000 years they hail from the Near East and Mediterranean region.  Used as Greek ceremonial crowns, in colors of red, white, purple and pink, today they are the national flower of Spain and Slovenia. Raised in Chinese nobility gardens for more than 2,500 years, they were once considered part of the privileged class.
The images of Daisies have been found on gold hairpin ornaments in the Minoan palace excavated on the Island of Crete. There are about 500 species of this beautiful purple flower, which are found in temperate northern climates, Hawaii and the Andes Mountains of South America.
The basic form of most Hindu and Buddhist mandalas is a square with four gates, containing a circle with a central point.
The Maha (great) Mandala depicts our entire universe, replete with images of human beings living in harmony with each other, and an interdependent cosmos.
The Eighth Awakening: Like a blazing inferno, birth and death are plagued with suffering and affliction.
If Buddhist disciples recite this Sutra on the Eight Awakenings, and constantly ponder its meaning, they will certainly eradicate boundless offenses, advance towards Bodhi, and will quickly realize Proper Enlightenment. Within the rings appear more squares, representing a four-walled, gated palace.  The presence of the Buddha resides at the center. There are many other types of Mandalas as variations in form and meaning differ among the various branches of Buddhism. The Garbhakosa Mandala depicts the genuineness of the Buddhas as described in the Mahavairocana Sutra (Great Sun Sutra). Many Mandalas have an associated text called a “tantra.”  This text is used to advise adherents on how best to draw the Mandala, create and visualize it in meditation, and which mantras should be used during the ritual.
There is another important aspect of Mandalas that is hardly ever discussed.  And that is, when the mind is very settled in meditation, a moving kaleidoscope of colors and shapes (Geometric Mandalas) can appear to your inner sight. If you decide to use a blindfold or a sleeping mask to block out any stray light, that is fine so long as there is no pressure on the eyes.  Do not strain. You may see nothing, or you may see colors coming into and out of view; purple splotches dissolving into other colors of the rainbow. The following website has an interactive display of what a mandala looks like, and its constant state of motion. At even deeper levels of conscious silence the “third eye” (your spiritual eye) may be seen as a golden halo surrounding a blue circle, in the center of which pulsates a five pointed white star. And at even deeper levels for the Enlightened, the siddhis as described by Patanjali’s “Yoga Aphorisms” manuscript, can also be seen; arrangements of stars and other wonders. But no matter where you are on your journey, whether you see anything or not, continue forward with your daily meditation practice.  Each and every day we take yet another step toward unfolding our full potential.
As we travel on this beautiful and precious planetary landscape that we call the Earth look about and take notice of the multitude of creation, life in its expressed diversity becoming more complex and aware of itself.   We are separate and yet one with the cosmos. The current round of human evolution, after that of Atlantis is you believe in those stories, started about 35,000 years ago with further refinement of Cro-Magnon man.  For the first 25,000 years or so, progress was made in social, hunting, language, and adaptability skills.
Euclid (300, BC) – an Egyptian and Greek mathematician in the Greek colony of Alexandria.  Today in our High Schools we study Euclidian geometry.
Nicolaus Copernicus (1473 – 1543) – developed the heliocentric (sun centered) theory of the universe. Galileo Galilei (1564 – 1642) – physicist, mathematician, astronomer and philosopher, who showed that the Earth is not the center of the universe.
Johannes Kepler (1571 – 1630) – mathematician, astronomer and astrologer, who formulated the laws of planetary motion. Blaise Pascal (1623 – 1662) – mathematician, physicist, inventor and writer, who invented the mechanical calculator. Isaac Newton (1643 – 1727) – English physicist, mathematician, astronomer, natural philosopher, alchemist, and theologian, who invented calculus and formulated our understanding of the law of gravity. James Clark Maxwell (1831 – 1879) through his theory of electromagnetism, conclusively proved the unity between electricity and magnetism and proved that light was an electromagnetic wave. Based upon the entire breadth of the electromagnetic spectrum, why is it that human beings developed the sense of sight (red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet, 400 nm-700 nm wavelength) over such a tiny sliver?  Why don’t we see radio waves? Radio waves do pass through the atmosphere, but in order to see them with the same resolution as our visual sight, our eyes would have to be 10,000 times larger.  The difficulty is also compounded because the sun emits less than one billionth as many radio waves, as compared to the visual range. So today, in order to extend our perception of the world, we developed and depend upon various instruments. The history of the human race is the story of the expansion of awareness.  We are actively exploring the physical realm, while making headway into understanding the more subtle planes of creation. Our body experiences sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell.  Augmented by refined human consciousness, more subtle and silent levels of creation open up to our view. Meditate each day to accelerate your growth, to hasten the day when you shake hands with the absolute and encompass your full human potential. Then the Ethiopian put his five fingers close together (there was plenty of black left on his new skin still) and pressed them all over the Leopard, and wherever the five fingers touched they left five little black marks, all close together.
The idiom, “Can a leopard change his spots?” is used today to imply that just as a leopard cannot change spots, so to human beings cannot change their essential innate nature. All too often we hear, “you cannot change who you are, people are set in their ways, and you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.”  And no amount of trying will help. Why the leopard has spots while the tiger has strips is not scientifically understood, but it is usually attributed to the nature of their habitat.  A January 2010 issue of the Genetics journal suggests that at least three different pigmentation genes are involved in the emergence of stripes, spots, and other markings on domestic cats.
Researchers at the University of Bristol have developed a mathematical model that links the patterning of the leopard and 34 other species of wild cats to their different habitats. The more inert the mind, the harder it is to change.  But change indeed is what happens when we properly apply intellect (Buddhi) and heart (Hridaya) to our daily activities.
A Zen Master once said that a single 20-minute meditation was equivalent to one life time of human growth.  Such is the benefit of closing the eyes and transcending the world of change.
People’s lives can change from suffering to greater happiness.  Your mood and vision of life mostly depends upon what is between your two ears – the content and quality of your mind. Tonight we will ACTIVATE the 3rd eye, the PINEAL GLAND within the center of the brain to: # Encourage mental imagery # Enhance your dreams # Develop you VISION with your eyes closed # Cultivate, Clear and Cleanse your pineal gland # Assist you with SEEING energy forms that are not visible with the naked eye Known in cultures all over the world as the INNER EYE, There is MUCH written about the 3rd eye for thousands of years, in sacred scriptures, in ancient cultures, and from the current NEW AGE philosophy. In the late 1920’s “talking pictures” were well on the way toward replacing the silent movie era. Aside from feeling nostalgic about movie classics, I bring this up today because films are still shown on the “big screen.” That’s one reason why we like to go to the theater (along with pop corn and candy).
Without the screen we cannot watch the movie, and without the pictures there is no dialog and story. We exist in the world of nature (Prakrti) and her qualities – Sattwa (creation), Rajas (preservation), and Tamas (destruction).
When we come in contact with an object (say a beautiful flower) the mind holds that image and becomes completely identified with it. In whatever activity we engage in our true nature (bliss consciousness) seems to be overshadowed by the mind’s identification with the objects of perception. The white screen – represents our true nature, bliss consciousness, pure awareness, the SELF. The movie – represents the projected images of the relative phenomenal world that we identify with through sight, sound, touch, smell and taste.
Just as a motion picture overshadows the white screen as we watch and enjoy it, so to the objects of perception overshadow our genuine nature. The degree to which our bona fide nature is veiled by the mind depends upon our personal level of consciousness. For example, when we are walking on the beach and enjoying the sun we can take a stick and drag it through the sand. The continued practice of meditation expands our awareness and lessens the imprint (like a stick through air rather than sand) of experience on the mind.
Before the advent of steadfast color dyes, when we wanted to alter the color of a shirt, we would soak it in a dye for a few hours and then hang it up on the clothes line exposing it to the sun to dry. Don’t meditate for longer periods of time than instructed unless you are under the direct supervision of a teacher. In our blog we have not yet discussed in great detail the higher states (5, 6, and 7) of consciousness that are intended for human experience. In Cosmic Consciousness (CC) we have realized our true nature as being beyond time and space; existence bliss consciousness.
6) Glorified Cosmic Consciousness (GC) – refined direct perception (sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste) of the finest value of the relative world.
7) Unity Consciousness (UC) – refined direct perception (sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste) of the absolute unmanifest value of existence. In Cosmic Consciousness we have developed our full inner potential (subjective), and in Unity Consciousness we have developed our full outer (objective) potential. It was a short 2-hour drive from Tel Aviv, passing south of Jerusalem, and then traveling via the Ma’aleh Adumim highway directly to the Dead Sea Valley. Joshua gently applied the brakes to the motor coach as the vehicle descended on the long winding path. They had arrived at the lowest level on the earth’s surface, 423 meters (1,388 feet) below sea level. An arm of the Mediterranean existed in this area before continental rifting started about 15-million year ago. The rifting started in the early Miocene, crossed this residual arm of the sea isolating a portion of it, which became the Dead Sea segment. With time, the sinking of the graben (an elongated, relatively depressed crustal unit bounded by faults on both sides) and evaporation reduced Lake Lisan to a smaller area which became known as the Dead Sea. As the passengers made their way down to the Sea with their tour guide, Joshua settled down to meditate at his favorite spot. The practice of Kabbalah meditation generally involves a morning meditation, plus a recitation of the 3 blessings, and meditation verses. Kabbalah meditation enables the seeker to directly interact with the higher worlds and bring about positive changes in life.
These blessings are intended to invoke the healing power of spirits, allowing them to descend upon you and give you their strength. This is usually recited at night, as a way of beseeching the powers that be to return your soul to your body in the morning. Some Jews consider the Kabbalah to represent the true meaning and teachings of Judaism, while others do not. These texts primarily focus either on how to achieve a heavenly ascent through the Hekhalot (heavenly palaces) and what to expect there, or on drawing down angelic spirits to interact and help the adept. The book relies on the 32 ways to explain the makeup of the universe and the laws governing its function. Most likely written in the 13th century by Elazar Rokeach, it explains Kabbalah astrology along with the mystic alphabet and formulas. This book is the Kabbalistic commentary on the Hebrew Bible, the Tanakh, and is the most important Kabbalistic text.
All souls must undergo transmigration and the souls of men revolve like a stone which is thrown from a sling, so many turns before the final release…Only those who have not completed their perfection must suffer the wheel of rebirth by being reborn into another human body. Written in the 16th century this book by Rabbi Moshe Cordovero is one interpretation of the Zohar. There are subtle differences between the Kabbalah of Moses Cordovero and the Lurianic Kabbalah (the primary school in Eastern Europe). From the lower primal universal energies (Malkuth) to the higher levels of human soul individuation and spiritual union with the divine (Keter), the Tree of Life depicts the unfoldment and levels of realization of our world, similar to the way that Chakras and the Pingala Nadi (right) and the Ida Nadi (left) channels do.
The Kabbalistic teaching refers to the 7 gates of heaven, which are the different states of consciousness. Kabbalah seeks to define the nature of the universe and the human being, the nature and purpose of existence, and various other ontological questions.
One can easily spend a lifetime learning Kabbalah and mastering it principles and meditation practices. Joshua and his family were born in Israel and have followed the Kabbalistic teachings for years. He became a disciple of Swami Brahmananda Saraswati in 1941, but continued his studies at Allahabad University where in 1942 he graduated with a degree in Physics. The Swami had recently filled the northern Shankaracharya (spiritual leader) seat of Jyotirmath in the Indian Himalayas. After the passing of his beloved Guru Dev in 1953, Maharishi retired to the caves of Uttar Kashi, high in the Himalayan Mountains.
Beginning in 1955 Maharishi began to introduce the Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique and other related programs and initiatives to the world. In 1959 while in San Francisco, the movement was rename The International Meditation Society. Since then more than 600 scientific studies verifying the wide-ranging benefits of the Transcendental Meditation technique have been conducted at 250 independent universities and medical schools in 33 countries. The Transcendental Meditation technique is a simple, natural, effortless process practiced 15-20 minutes twice daily while sitting comfortably with eyes closed. Experience shows that Being is bliss consciousness, the source of all thinking, of all existing creation. To the lotus feet of Shri Guru Dev, Swami Brahmananda Saraswati, Bhagwan Shankaracharya, Jyotir-Math, Himalaya, and as blessing from him this book is presented to all lovers of life desirous of enjoying all glories – Worldly and Divine.
The depth of the lake and the ripples, and the beautiful reflection of the glacier, reminds me of the story of inner life. But if, the wave could deepen and incorporate more silent levels of the water, the waves would become the waves of the ocean, the mighty waves. Transcendental Meditation (TM) is a very natural procedure of experiencing the finer state of the thinking process and to arrive at the source of thought, which is the pure field of creative intelligence; pure awareness, unbounded awareness is at the source of thought. Large amount of scientific research has shown that release from stress is the first effect that comes from TM. Let not the din of the world, and the thick and thin of life disturb the fullness of love in us.
Simple, innocent, natural, normal state of love, without inhibitions, is a divine quality, which is the natural quality of graceful life.

Nothing else is significant compared to that completely natural, exalted state of consciousness.
Having the Kingdom of Heaven within you, you have no right to suffer in life; you only have to enjoy the grace of God. How simple it is to love, and exhausting it is always to find fault, for every time we see a fault we think something needs to be done about it.
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi dedicated his life to teaching Transcendental Meditation to the World.
We all know about sleep because we do it every night, and sometimes even during afternoon meditation. To maintain the Earth’s biodiversity and precious resource the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, located on the Norwegian island of Spitsbergen, was established in 1984. It is through mind that the absolute manifests as the multifarious universe and field of relative causation. We have heretofore learned that the three agents of nature (Sattva, Rajas and Tamas guna) transform into ego, mind, senses, the body and the external world of objects.
The center of gravity (location) of the mind in the body changes depending upon what state of consciousness we are in.
The individual soul is considered to be awake when it is connect to, and actively functions through its external physical system (body).
In classical terms, we have five basic senses – sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch.  But the body functions by employing other receptors as well – balance through the vestibular sense, temperature via homeostatic thermal receptors in the brain, the kinesthetic sense for spatial orientation, pain receptors, pulmonary and a host of other functions. Although we as humans build our own subtle bodies, the physical body is not ours to construct.  We don’t tell our heart when to beat, or direct the repair of skin tissue and organs, or oversee the actual fight of white blood cells against invading bacteria. God exists outside the universe and resides in heaven (or somewhere).  He governs all creation and judges with reward and punishment. Having reached moral perfection, freedom from desires and eternal bliss consciousness, all action is in accord with the laws of nature. The turbulent senses (sight) carry away the mind and discrimination is lost.  But coming back to my source and knowing him (Brahman) places me beyond the cycle of birth, death and sorrow. It was January 14, 1908, officer John Davies sighted the first iceberg.  From that day forward the floating mountains of ice grew more numerous in the waters. Civilization today classifies the human relationship with the Universe in three ways; dualism, qualified-dualism and monism.
God has a personal form and is the extra-cosmic personality living in heaven (or somewhere). This manifestation is taken to be real as long as the soul is in ignorance, but it is realized to be unreal with the dawn of true knowledge. As we continue our exploration of different meditation practices, I would like to take this time to briefly review some of the Buddhist techniques.  There are far too many to cover in detail, but here is a short summary that will help you navigate the waters and better decide which practice you may wish to try. There are two main branches of Buddhist philosophy and meditation.  They are Mahayana with sub-branch Vajrayana, and Theravada. Mahayana is found throughout East Asia and includes the traditions of Pure Land, Zen, Nichiren Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhism, Shingon, Tendai and Shinnyo-en.
In Korea, nearly all Buddhists belong to the Chogye School, which is officially Son (Zen), but with substantial elements from other traditions. Recitation of Buddha’s name for the purpose of awakening to the Buddha, inherent in all of us.
These are preliminary and preparatory practices (sadhana) for disciplines common to all four schools of Tibetan Buddhism. The appearance of the phenomenal world (mudra) and its source (maha) which lies beyond it concept, imagination or projection.  The goal is to enter the all-pervading state of non-duality. The Mahamudra Vipassana “insight practices” are unique in Tibetan Buddhism.  They involve looking at or pointing out the nature of the mind. Theravada is primarily practiced today in Sri Lanka, Burma, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia as well as small portions of China, Vietnam, Malaysia and Bangladesh. Insight into the nature of reality.  It is a practice of self-transformation through self-observation and introspection. Also known as Dynamic Meditation, it was developed by Thai Buddhist reformist Luangpor Teean Jittasubho.
The ocean materializes icebergs, and then reclaims it back again.  The rich heritage of Buddhist meditation practices offer the means for a walk in the absolute realm of bliss consciousness.
Each day that passes the Earth spins on its axes, and affords us the opportunity for growth.  Look forward to life, joy and true contentment as the Self blossoms.
Practice your meditation every day to rise to the highest level of human freedom and spiritual potential. Keeping track of the day of the year has been very important to civilizations from time immemorial.  As we now embark onto the new year of 2011 it’s important to understand what factors calendars play in our lives, and how we can best use the passing hours to further our development of cosmic consciousness. Our practice of meditation aims to place us beyond the influence of time, but let’s review the different systems currently used in the world. But even though we follow the Gregorian calendar, Christian churches calculate Easter as the first Sunday after the first full moon, on or after the March equinox.  The Easter date determines the date of Ash Wednesday, Ascension, and Pentecost. The Persian calendar (Solar Hejri) is Solar and begins on the Vernal Equinox as observed in Iran.  This 360 day calendar is based on the Babylonian model (the Babylonian Calendar was lunar) but modified to fit their beliefs. The Jewish Passover usually falls on the first full moon after the Northern Hemisphere vernal equinox, although occasionally (7 times every 19 years) it will occur on the second full moon.
The last full moon day of Visakha highlights a three day celebration of the birth, enlightenment, and death of the Buddha. The Baha’i year consists of 19 months of 19 days each (361 days), with the addition of “Intercalary Days” (four in ordinary and five in leap years) between the eighteenth and nineteenth months to adjust the calendar to the solar year. The solar calendar was adopted by King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) in 1888 as the Siamese version of the Gregorian calendar. In  the Rattanakosin Era version, year 1 began 6 April 1782, with the accession of Rama I, the foundation of the Chakri Dynasty and the founding of Bangkok as capital (Rattanakosin).
In the Buddhist Era version, year 0 from 11 March 545 BC, believed to be the date of the death of Gautama Buddha.
The veil between the material and the transcendent realms becomes almost see-through, as the illusion of different densities of vibration is dissolved. This is the mental age, magnetism is harnessed, men are in power, and inventions dissolve the illusion of time.
Science flourishes, people experience the spiritual in terms of subtle energies and rational choices, and inventions are abundant. Most people are aware only of the physical aspect of existence, the predominant emphasis of living is material survival. A sidereal year is the amount of time taken by the Earth to orbit the Sun once, with respect to the fixed background of stars. Manuel grabbed his books, gave Angelina a kiss and headed out the door for his first day at the Juarez instituto de tecnologia. For a long time before that he wanted to quit his job and pursue an engineering degree, but was held back by fear of an uncertain future. There is a famous Victorian age saying, “every cloud has a silver lining.” Even a bad situation has some good aspect to it.
The phrase “silver lining” was first put forward by John Milton in his literary piece, “A Mask Presented at Ludlow Castle,” in 1634. But on those occasions we need to be reminded that our situation is fictitious – a product of mind. The sun is out and today is a happy day.  The fall season in North American can be quite spectacular.
Did you feel that cosmic ray that just passed through you body?  What about the microwave background radiation left over from the big bang event 13.7 billion years ago?
Expansion of consciousness brings the unseen into view.  This also applies to how we behave in the world.
We won’t harm what we consider to be a part of our self.  As consciousness expands and we see others as expressions of our own Self, we treat all with kindness and love.
The functioning of the human brain reflects the underlying etheric structure that we have created.  Although we are born with an inbuilt propensity toward science and art due to past experience, employing free will in this life time gives each of us the ability to develop whatever aspect of life we set our mind upon. Meditation helps balance both of these aspects of life.  Artistic appreciation enlivens in the scientist, and focused delineated thinking enlivens in the artist. When these are balanced growth is in harmony and follows natures lead.  When out of balance, various disorders can appear. The Kundalini three vertical channels are found on the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems within the spinal column.
Here is a summary of Kundalini influence and functioning in human life.  Take a few minutes to look this over. Kundalini – Ida Nadi channel facilitates our emotions, desires, influence of memory and the past, affection for others, habits, conditioning, and our desire for happiness. An imbalance can cause emotional imbalance, submissiveness, swings of happiness and sadness, lack of self discipline, inability to break bad habits, and self obsession. Draws on unbounded qualitative patterns that are not organized into sequences, but that cluster around images. Alternate nostril breathing (Nadi Shodhana Pranayama) helps to rebalance the equal use of both brain hemispheres. We also need to balance our masculine and feminine sides.  Emotional sensitivity along with daring and strength are hallmarks for successful living. Oneness of the spiritual and the physical, oneness of good and evil, union of Yin and Yang, represent balance in nature and life. Take advantage of your brief time on Earth; meditate every day to enliven and balance Kundalini, and attain Self Realization. Legend has it that Lau Tzu was from the village of Qu Ren, and was the keeper of the Imperial archives at the ancient Chinese capital of Louyang.
Saddened by the evil of men, Lau Tzu set off into the desert on a water buffalo leaving civilization behind. The book consists of 81 short chapters; the first 37 for the Book of the Way (the Tao), while then next 44 form the Book of Te (virtue). His life and writings are the basis of Taoism which has grown into one of the great religions of the world – now with over 225 million adherents. Lau Tzu’s vision of the absolute and proper conduct in the relative fields of life, are outlined in his book the Tao-Te Ching. The Tao in its regular course does nothing (for the sake of doing it), and so there is nothing which it does not do.
The Tao is hidden, and has no name; but it is the Tao which is skilful at imparting (to all things what they need) and making them complete. Therefore just as we take advantage of what is, we should recognize the usefulness of what is not.
Simplicity without a name, free from all external aim, with no desire, at rest and still, all things go right as of their will. The great state only wishes to unite men together and nourish them; a small state only wishes to be received by, and to serve, the other. For regulating the human (in our constitution) and rendering the (proper) service to the heavenly, there is nothing like moderation. At the center of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want. Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.
Love is of all passions the strongest, for it attacks simultaneously the head, the heart and the senses. To know yet to think that one does not know is best; Not to know yet to think that one knows will lead to difficulty. To lead people, walk beside them… As for the best leaders, the people do not notice their existence. To realize that you do not understand is a virtue; Not to realize that you do not understand is a defect. You are also unique in that the attributes that have come together to form your life personality have not been seen by the universe until now. Meditate every day (morning and evening) to accelerate your spiritual evolution and impact the world with your enlightened values. A man who has committed a mistake and doesn’t correct it, is committing another mistake. He who exercises government by means of his virtue may be compared to the north polar star, which keeps its place and all the stars turn towards it. If a man remembers what is right at the sign of profit, is ready to lay down his life in the face of danger, and does not forget sentiments he has repeated all his life when he has been in straitened circumstances for a long time, he may be said to be a complete man. The essence of knowledge is, having it, to apply it; not having it, to confess your ignorance. To be able to practice five things everywhere under heaven constitutes perfect virtue…[They are] gravity, generosity of soul, sincerity, earnestness, and kindness.
When you see a good man, try to emulate his example, and when you see a bad man, search yourself for his faults. While you are not able to serve men, how can you serve spirits [of the dead]?…While you do not know life, how can you know about death?
Without an acquaintance with the rules of propriety, it is impossible for the character to be established.
Meditation calms the mind and allows us to get more in touch with the source of good conduct, bliss consciousness.
Today Catherine’s world is quite different, but there was a time as a newborn when it only consisted of Catherine and her mother.
When she started kindergarten Catherine took the school bus, met other classmates, and developed some friendships.
Societies are structured in such a way that love becomes more cultured and expands as we move out into the world; from childhood (immediate family), to adolescence (school and friends), to adulthood (spouse, community, country, and the world).
Falling in love is the process of recognizing (opening of awareness) some aspect of yourself in the outer environment. In reality it’s not the other person that you are falling in love with, but it’s the reflection of your own qualities that you see in them.
The attitudes that we display in life are a direct reflection of our level of consciousness. The application of pure consciousness gained in daily meditation effortlessly grows the heart. When this does not happen we find intelligent criminals and others making use of knowledge for life destructive purposes rather than for good. While growing from enlightenment to GC sensory percept refines and the heart develops even more. When I was four years old I thought that the world was created just for me.  After all, my mother instantly attended to my every wish and desire.
Well, at the age of eight I started to sprout up like a tree and kept on growing until I was nineteen.  I played football and went swimming a lot.
My dad said, “Alberto my son, when are you going to take an interest in life and make something of yourself?”  And I always replied, “when the sun stands on its ear it will be interesting enough to take a liking to. The initial thrill of life had long lost its luster for me.  I always thought, “Is this all there is?
During my second year something caught my attention.  My chemistry professor said, “Every atom in your body started off by being created inside of a star,” and that stuck with me ever since. In the second week I learned certain postures called Mudras and Bandhas.  They are practiced to enliven the functioning of the body and mind. Of course I had to make some energy usage assumptions to get those numbers, but my data turned out to be realistic (so says my professor).
But we owe mountain building to the Earth’s mantle plate tectonic shifts (which include earthquakes). A year later while working on my senior thesis I tackled one of my favorite mysteries; why is the Earth’s atmosphere so different from that of our sister planet Venus? CO2 with water is synthesized into carbohydrates by green and blue algae, lichens, mushrooms, trees and plants, leaving as a byproduct – oxygen. Calcified algae and bacteria known as Stromatolites covered continental platforms and shoals, just like today’s coral reefs. The final product created depended upon the type of organic matter involved; plant deposits formed coal and natural gas, while marine deposits formed petroleum and tar. The carbonate shells of marine organisms were transformed into limestone and metamorphosed into marble. This new ozone-rich atmospheric layer allowed marine organisms (vegetable and animal), living some tens of meter under the sea surface where they found protection against solar UV radiation, to now freely swim on the surface of the water and adventure onto dry land, where continued evolution and colonization of animal species took place. Destroying the ozone layer would force humanity to live underground or in protective structures, not daring to venture outside.
This is just the opposite of photosynthesis.  The process destroys oxygen to make carbon dioxide and smoke.
Manufacturing processes that create modern conveniences also contribute to the production of carbon dioxide. Well.  I got my BS degree in Geology, worked for a petroleum company over the summer and also found some time to learn more advanced Kriya Yoga meditation techniques. I’m also boarding a plane later this afternoon to attend the United Nations sponsored, 2011 Durban Climate Change Conference.
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) predicts that there is a high probability that doubling the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere would lead to a temperature rise of between 2 and 4.5 degrees.
But now it’s time to do my meditation before heading out to Simon Bolivar International Airport to catch that flight. Meditation helps to better focus the mind, relieve stress, reduce negative thoughts, boost energy, lead to better health, and awaken our innate curiosity of life.  It naturally fosters a better sense of self and well being, love and compassion.
Close the eyes and dive within to experience peace and harmony.  Great discoveries are awaiting you.

The history of the human race is replete with stories of personal abuse as well as individual triumph in the face of adversity. Gripped by the influence of mind, egocentric consciousness has dominated mankind for centuries. While walking on the beach and enjoying the sun we can take a stick and drag it through the sand. As we continue our meditation practice individual consciousness grows along with strength and stability.
One of the first tipping points in favor of the recognition of human rights took place on English soil in the year 1215. A revised and expanded 1297 version of this document, called the “The Great Charter of the Liberties of England, and of the Liberties of the Forest,” still remain on the statute books of England and Wales. We have also granted to all freemen of our kingdom, for us and our heirs forever, all the underwritten liberties, to be had and held by them and their heirs, of us and our heirs forever. As human consciousness grows, the higher values of life will be reflected by society and eventually find their way into the laws and constitutions of the governments of the world.
No inhabitant of the Nation may be punished without previous trial based on the fact of prior law process, nor tried by special commissions, or removed from the judges appointed by law before the act for the cause. The State shall not deny to any person equality before the law or the equal protection of the laws within the territory of India. When the collective consciousness of a people rise to the value of honoring life, the idea of human rights takes hold and resonates in the very fabric of that society. We see this time and time again, where countries are aided in transitions to democracy, only to once again fall back to old ways and habits (self centeredness). Assure human rights and their proper governance through the development of human consciousness. Abandon all melancholy and malaise from the human psyche, by opening your mind to the infinite blissful value of pure consciousness. As a hummingbird sipping nectar flies continuously from blossom to blossom, so does the mind wander in its endless search for peace.
Soon after the Great Spirit created the first man and the first woman, they began to quarrel. Finally, the Great Spirit created a new berry growing along the ground, and she slowed down to try one. Changying picked one up, smelled it, turned it around, and then put it in her mouth.  Her eyes lit up and her face became one big smile. Changying made an astute observation.  No matter how well the strawberry was described by Ashley, using all available adjectives and nouns to be found in the English language, it is not the same (or as complete) as the actual experience of eating the strawberry.
So to, when we try to describe the joy that unfolds due to our meditation practice, or the nature of the unbounded eternal blissful conscious absolute, we can only use words – to convey ideas that hint at what the experience is really like.
We are limited by the confines of language, and the ideas that our minds can conceptualize. Experience of the Self is knowledge that transcends speech, word, and the field of mind (time, space and causation).
For example, we use Yin and Yang, the Chinese Tai Chi symbol that enunciates the universal principle of opposites, yet is combined as a single whole.  By highlighting opposite values, we are better able to understand the full breadth of ideas.
On that day, in front of the lecture hall, Tokusan burned to ashes his commentaries on the sutras.
The Dao (Tao) is found outside the realm of Yin and Yang.  Untouched by time and timelessness, the field of birth and death, dharma and adharma, the immutable ineffable defies even the poetry of word and idea.
Through right view, intent, speech, conduct, livelihood, effort, mindfulness and concentration (the Noble Eightfold path of Theravada Buddhism) the individual becomes worthy of enlightenment, but the Self is known by means of direct experience. Although we try our best to point the way using language and reason, Enlightenment is gained by direct experience.
They were introduced to ancient Mesopotamia by Sargon the 1st.  Since the stem of a rose has thorns, they have come to symbolize both the joy and sorrow that accompanies human life. Each gate is in the shape of the letter T.  In Vajrayana Buddhism, which is a Tibetan teaching, mandalas are also created in the exquisite media of sand paintings.
At all times, day and night, sincerely recite and bear in mind these eight truths that cause great people to awaken. Bodhisattvas apply themselves and deeply appreciate study and erudition, constantly striving to expand their wisdom and refine their eloquence. Therefore, great people resolve to cultivate the Great Vehicle, to rescue all beings, to endure hardship on behalf of others, and to lead everyone to ultimate happiness. Learn AND EXPERIENCE tonight the GIFTS, ABILITIES, POWER and VIBRATION of your active third eye..
Each night we experience 2 to 3 different meditations interspersed with teaching, channeling and healing experiences.
She listens to them as she speaks with her clients and often she is given just one word to say that will create a massive shift within the client, releasing years of grief.
We celebrate the diversity of being human and showcase ancient modalities and modern innovations that offer the opportunity for personal and spiritual growth.
The desert terrain was hilly and spotted with multiple rock outcroppings typical of this arid climate. After spending a few hours at the Dead Sea, he would reload the bus and take the tourists onto Masada. The Dead Sea is a vast salt lake bordering Jordan to the east, and Israel proper to the west. As the land rose the waters drained off, both eastward through the Haifa Channel to the Mediterranean, and southward into the Gulf of Elat. The African plate is tending to rotate in a counterclockwise direction, so when there is northward movement the segment is shifted slightly eastward.
Kabbalistic thought holds that the spirit leaves the body during sleep to inhabit a higher plane of consciousness. It has always been taught through oral instruction, even though there are books and texts that expound its philosophy. All that exists in the higher world appears like an image in this lower world; yet all this is but One. It describes how the universe was created, continues to exist, and the process for human reunification with Hashem.
The various levels of the relative world and the absolute transcendent can thereby be realized. As we journey through life, challenges and adventures open our heart and mind to the field of all possibilities.
Keith Wallace on Transcendental Meditation opened the floodgates to further scientific discovery.
It is unique among techniques of meditation, distinguished by its effortlessness, naturalness and profound effectiveness. And through the practice of Transcendental Meditation, the awareness reaches that source of thought. So Transcendental Meditation is a procedure for enrichment of life, for betterment of life, for more success and more progress and more joy of life. This Transcendental Consciousness has come-out to be known as, Unified Field of all the Laws of Nature. The heart tickles with the thought of love, and waves of life begin to roll on the ocean of love. It takes the life from the ruggedness of mountains, to the roughness of the sea, and there, in silence of wilderness, and even so in the noisy horizon of the sea, the vast expansion of the unbounded love from a distance brings a breeze cool and fresh to cool the heart and soothe the pangs of separation. It grows with the growth of life and evolution, and finds its fulfillment in the eternal love of the omnipresent God, which fills the heart and overthrows the darkness of ignorance.
Love shall forever shine on our way, and the light will guide our steps whether we go slow or fast.
This means we experience that inner calmness, that quiet state of least excitation, even when we are dynamically busy. It results from the full development of consciousness and depends upon the perfect and harmonious functioning of every part of the body and nervous system. Cultural conditioning, family influence, and life experiences play a great part in shaping attitude. Tom Bourdillon and Charles Evans came within 100 m (300 feet) of the summit on 26 May 1953, but turned back after becoming exhausted.  Two days later, the expedition made its second and final assault on the summit with its second climbing pair, the New Zealander Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, a Nepali Sherpa climber.
He is of the nature of pure consciousness manifesting through the mind.  He is the controller of the vital energy and the body. King Chulalongkorn decreed this as the epoch (reference date) for the counting of years in 106 RE, AD 1888. King Vajiravudh (Rama VI) changed year counting to this Buddhist Era (BE) and moved the start of the year back to 1 April in 2455 BE, AD 1912.
It is also the time taken for the Sun to return to the same position with respect to the fixed stars after apparently traveling once around the ecliptic. Parietal lobe—plays important roles in integrating sensory information (sight, sound, taste, touch and smell) and in the manipulation of special objects. Temporal lobe—senses of smell and sound, as well as processing of complex stimuli like faces and scenes. Pons, olive, and medulla oblongata – relay brain signals, cerebellar motor learning and function, controls autonomic functions such as breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure.
When he arrived at the final gate at the great wall protecting the kingdom, the gatekeeper persuaded him to record the principles of his philosophy for posterity. Water them with worry and fear and you will produce weeds that choke the life from your dream. His ideas have been developed as a system of philosophy that has come to be known as Confucianism. He was impacted by this event and spent the next three years in solitude studying philosophy.
I have seen men die from treading on water and fire, but I have never seen a man die from treading the course of virtue.
While the gentleman cherishes a respect for the law, the small man cherishes generous treatment. Carbon dioxide is used to form the carbonate shells of algae, clams, ammonites, and other organisms. The winds of time and change and their resulting vicissitudes fall more softly on our psyche. No sheriff or bailiff of ours, or other person, shall take the horses or carts of any freeman for transport duty, against the will of the said freeman.
Neither we nor our bailiffs shall take, for our castles or for any other work of ours, wood which is not ours, against the will of the owner of that wood.
No freemen shall be taken or imprisoned or diseased or exiled or in any way destroyed, nor will we go upon him nor send upon him, except by the lawful judgment of his peers or by the law of the land. We will appoint as justices, constables, sheriffs, or bailiffs only such as know the law of the realm and mean to observe it well. No one can be compelled to testify against himself, nor arrested except by written order of authority competently. By lessening desires we can realize absolute truth and enjoy peace, freedom, and health in body and mind. They vanquish and defeat the four kinds of demons, and escape from the prison of the five skandhas. Instead, they aspire to don the three-piece precept robe and the blessing bowl of monastic life. Now as a full trance medium she is able to sit and relax, allowing her guides to speak through her, allowing them to absorb past her hands and forearms, into her body, pineal gland and throat.
He had pictures of his family; wife Adira, daughters Kataniya, Levana, Rivka, and sons Yizrach and Shevi on the bus dashboard to add brightness to the trip. Varying levels of Lake Lisan came and went as recorded on the sediment on the walls of the rift. He and his family were practitioners of Kabbalah, and he often did his morning meditation at this same place. In Kabbalah tradition it is believed that every night the soul ascends to the upper worlds and returns to the body in the morning. Although associated with Judaism it contains universal truths applicable to all people of all times. During the 12th-13th century the Zohar, the mainstay of Kabbalistic thought and philosophy, was written. Our egos evolve in this world but in the end we reach a state where we have to unify with this force.
We were created in opposition to it in order to reveal that the nature of the ego is destructive. When one is using the full potential of the mind and body in this way, every thought and action is spontaneously correct and life-supporting. He explored the meaning of morality, its source, how it impacts the lives of common man, and began teaching and demonstrating those virtues in his own life. Maybe then at some point all of the water would evaporate and we would be left with a desolate planet – like Mars and Venus is today.
It is also found within the protoplasm of living cells, mostly in the form of carbohydrates, starch, cellulose, and fat. So the Great Spirit created a huge patch of blueberries in her path, hoping she would stop to eat. Their ultimate ambition is to leave the home life and to cultivate the Path with impeccable purity. They sail the Dharma ship across to Nirvana’s shore, and then return on the sea of birth and death to rescue living beings.
They use her third eye for sight and communication,  her throat for expression, and her heart to transmit a profound heart connection. The sun was still young in the morning sky as the tour bus made its way down the winding road. The bus doors opened as the coach came to a stop in the parking lot, all 8 wheels now standing still. He closed his eyes, and the wonders of the subtle worlds began to reveal themselves once again.
We have to correct ourselves to become like the creator, so we all need to unify together back into one soul.
The joy of finding the timeless value of life within a delicate flower, in the majesty of the mountains and seas, and in the smile of your loved ones, is unbounded. That line remains in the sand and will stay there until the wind or surf eventually covers it back up. Just as dragging a stick in the sand makes a deep furrow not easily covered up, swiping the stick through the air makes much less of an impression. The home is inviolable and also the correspondence and private papers and a law determine when and how evidence may proceed with their search and occupation. They made up, and the strawberry is still shaped like a heart because it symbolizes the love of The First Man and The First Woman. Life and Death is nothing but a series of transformations—hallucinatory, unreal, uncontrollable. Their virtuous qualities are lofty and sublime; their attitude towards all creatures, kind and compassionate. They use these Eight Truths to show the proper course for living beings, causing them to recognize the anguish of birth and death.
It can be considered to be the musical notes of creation, as well as the silent pause between each note.
In the 18th century the Eastern European Hasidic groups took the knowledge under their wing and spread its teachings. The oldest documented germinating seed was nearly 2000 years old based on radiocarbon dating. Because the mind and heart do not necessarily grow in step with each other, it’s often important to temper ideas with wisdom. Are abolished for always the death penalty for political causes, any kind of torture and beating. They nurture the Way, living a quiet life in humble surroundings—their sole occupation, cultivating wisdom. They inspire all to forsake the five desires, and to cultivate their minds in the manner of Sages. Here’s what others have to say about these Healing Meditation Events “Absolutely Amazing Night!!!
