I loved loved loved the Ceremony on this wedding.  We used a chuppah which is actually a Jewish setup, but more of our brides liked them for the decor design. At the time of this wedding they had not so awesome orange curtains that did not go with our black and ivory theme AT ALL..
On the head table all the same theme going on except we used ivory spandex chair covers…. Country church weddings look gorgeous with rustic stone urns filled with rustic wedding flowers. At the country church entrance create a warm welcome with crates filled with rustic wedding flowers.
Decorate the font simply with hessian then add jam jars and bottles filled with rustic wedding flowers, astrantia and ranunculus are perfect in the spring.
Any extras like the rustic bark tea light holders can be bought from our sister company theweddingofmydreams. After all the excitement of the Wedding Blog Awards, I completely failed to publish the second half of Jo and Luke's incredible wedding. We gave several ideas to the chap that runs the venue and then he asked for props, and other little things that we had bought, or were given, or already owned.
As it was April and the winter had been cold, we knew there wouldn't be many flowers available, and those that were would be expensive.
All other flowers - for the church and our reception venue - were arranged by my family and some very talented ladies at the church.
Each of our tables was named after a different flower - primrose, muscari, lily, sweat-pea, etc. To carry on the garden theme and add a personal touch, my Mum and I made heart-shaped lavender bags for wedding favours for the ladies. I loved planning my wedding - although sometimes things felt like they would never get sorted. Fortunately it was even better timing than we could have hoped for, as by the wedding all the trees were in blossom. We created a memory table to display our wedding cake and added lots of family photos, and photos of our guests - many of them from their own wedding days.

Updated daily & brimming with wedding ideas and inspiration, Before the Big Day is the best wedding blog for couples looking to make their big day stand out from the crowd. For the reception, we wanted something near to the church, and we were fortunate enough to find the most incredible venue available in the next village. For jewellery I didn't know what I wanted to wear until the day, when my parents lent me a pair of earrings {from Dad's mum} and a necklace {from Mum's mum}, both of whom have sadly passed away. I pulled the bride card and managed to persuade them to try it on,  and fortunately it looked even better on them, than on the hanger. We kept the waistcoats simple, and we managed to find some ties that matched perfectly with the bridesmaid dresses.
I looked Lily up online, and there was one photo that was breathtaking, and I thought then that I knew if I ever got married I would want her to photograph my wedding. Photo courtesy of the WONDERFUL Nicole Wickens, Owner of Green Door Photography…she’s completely amazing!

And you've got to see these amazing pictures, as they're chock-a-block with wedding inspiration. We wanted it to be a simple as possible really, and looking at some pictures, I got the idea of using lots of ivy and moss as decorations.
I always had the idea of dusky pinks and purples, but no specific colour scheme, just mix and match - or things we liked. We used little bouquets of each bloom to decorate the tables, along with ivy and candles in hurricane lanterns. For example my Mum went to the local garden centre, and managed to get the owner to loan us some trees for the marquee. My Mum was so generous in all ways, and therefore took any stresses that I could have had away. It was from Waitrose, and we decorated the top with the same flowers as were in our bouquets. I've found it super-hard to edit - every one of Lily Sawyer's shots is incredible, and lovely Jo and Luke created such a beautiful wedding day, it's hard to choose which pictures to exclude!

The jewellery fitted the dress perfectly, and it felt so special to be able to wear something of theirs on such a special day.
It wasn't too successful at first, because I had an image of what I wanted, but when we walked into Monsoon and I spotted the perfect dress, my bridesmaids' faces didn't look too keen.
We wanted something traditional so went with a morning suit with a twist - in that it had a dark grey tail coat.
We both go to a church in London, but I grew up in the village and always thought I would get married in the same church as my parents. All around the world, people seek out information to assist them in planning their own country ceremonies. Instead of trying to match our fabric to a linen we just used about 10 yards of satin fabric and kept criss crossing and poofing to create the skirt.. We also used these as our place-markers, by tying little rose-stamped luggage tag to each one. The weekend before the wedding we went to choose them, and none of them were in bud, let alone covered with nice green leaves. Jo's friends call her an English rose, so she themed her wedding loosely around the tea rose, with plenty of pretty blooms in her wedding bouquet, and rose wedding stationery. I’m amazed at the number of emails I receive from people requesting help in finding information on this popular wedding theme. The owner is clearly some sort of wedding decoration genius, as he's created a wonderful romantic world of swinging lanterns and vintage props. If you see something you like, or have an idea, jot it down - because you'll blink and it'll be gone. Jo and Luke followed tradition, and married in Jo's local village church, hosting their reception in the gorgeous gardens of Friars Court. This is advice I didn't follow - but set a day before the wedding to have everything sorted, then try and relax.
Don't miss Jo's answers to the Before the Big Day Bride's Questionnaire, they're full of wedding inspiration, and take a look at their wedding photographer, Lily Sawyer's website - she's a serious talent! The person who gave me this advice was right, I didn't notice the things that we forgot about, and our guests didn't notice either.
