When you need help cultivating your self-esteem, there is no better place to start than within. Look towards the arts, and consider taking a painting or drawing class that allows you to put your creative (and vulnerable) side on paper, so you can free it from within. This helps open a dialogue about creativity, and allows you to feel good about your creation and its personal reflection.
Next, look to the actual stage by taking a music, dance or acting class that will allow you to interact with others and their positive energy. Dance classes are available everywhere, and can run the gamut from ballroom to salsa and tap to hip hop. Acting classes are one of the great self-esteem activities because you are actually on a stage. Finally, creative writing and poetry classes are exceptional self-esteem activities, which lead to inspirational findings.
One of the very most effect self-esteem activities is to sit down with a pen and pad and list your strengths and qualities. The most effective self-esteem activities will always include exuding positivity at every turn. The goal in practicing positive self-esteem activities is to be positive about your daily life. Positive living involves inhaling the good and exhaling the bad — in every capacity possible.
Effective self-esteem activities begin and end with a plan, an approach and completion, no matter how small the task.
The overall goal is to build your self-esteem over time, and operating in an achievable goal capacity will help you feel successful and remain positive about the direction your life is heading in. Everyone faces hard times as a child and teenager, including things that probably do not mean much now, but were a big deal then. When you are confident, and your self-esteem is thriving, you approach the world with openness, speaking clearly and presenting yourself as if the entire world is watching. Since these self-esteem activities are subjective, it is impossible for anyone to judge the outcome.

Even if you do not play an instrument, taking lessons in something you have always wanted to learn, like the guitar or drums, allows you to advance your knowledge, which is a part of the great self-esteem activities you need to advance mentally and emotionally. Pick something fun, and enjoy the company of everyone else in the class who is also learning.
You are required to speak clearly and loud enough for the back row to hear, and both are a tremendous boost of personal power. This activity is solely based on your thoughts, not what everyone else thinks — or what you believe they think about you.
Whether it was separating yourself from an unhealthy relationship, or working hard at taking the next step in school or your career, each segment of your life delivers its own set of challenges. In order to stay positive in negative situations, consider all of the previous positive experiences you have had. This means that you should stop hanging out with people who make you feel bad about yourself, and begin adding friends who support you at all times.
Set goals in and around your home, even if it is to fix loose door knobs, or paint a bathroom.
Although this may not come as second nature to most, there are several self-esteem activities that promote this directness, so you can waltz into a room as if you own it going forward. You can simply display your creation at home or in front of others — as your art class will be your first audience. Consider contacting your community theater or center for classes that you can take or volunteer for. Enjoy a poetry open mic night sometime, even if you do not get on stage you can draw inspiration from others, and enjoy the camaraderie.
Compliments make everyone feel positive, and listing yours will help you reflect on all off the nice things people are saying about you.
Consider this: If you are in a meeting and your clients begin to complain excessively, tossing negativity around the room in an effort to punish your company for poor results, ask them what positive experiences they have had with your company, and how you can mimic them going forward. Look in the mirror and tell yourself that today is going to be a great day, and that the traffic is going to be just fine. It also means that you should stop going to places that upset you, or that have a negative connotation.

Write these activities down without overwhelming yourself by creating short term goals, which could include cleaning the carpets or rugs, or going through your clothes to create a donation pile.
Not getting invited to a party in high school certainly seemed more detrimental then than it does today. There are already at least a dozen other people in the class, and you are there to learn, so shake off the excuses and enjoy. No matter how big or small the challenge was, overcoming it is a success and should be noted as part of your self-esteem activities.
Should you get stuck in it, think about all of the things that you can do while you are in the car instead of focusing on something you cannot change.
Make a separate list for long term goals, like cleaning out the gutters or planting a vegetable garden. However, that does not mean that some things did not stick with you, hindering your ability to fully grow into yourself and advance your self-esteem. Whether it is a significant other, co-worker or classmate, if they begin with negative rhetoric, ask them to reflect on past positive experiences to keep the conversation from going downhill. No matter how congested the traffic is, complaining about it is not going to suddenly clear a lane. Chances are, you are good at a lot of things, and making a list of them will help you focus on the positive components in your life, which is part of any successful self-esteem activities. Consider taking in your favorite CD, an audiobook or meditating while you are at a standstill in an effort to get ready for the day ahead. They are small things that happen daily, including changing your oil or washing your windows.
Getting your entire table to discuss how terrible the service is is only going to turn your lunch outing into an awful experience.
