After an intense 6 months of crisscrossing the globe and sharing the Lead Without a Title message in nearly 30 countries, I’m dropping into deep renewal for a bit.
Within the pages of this immensely inspiring book that has transformed the lives of people and families across the planet, life-improvement guru Robin Sharma reveals a surprisingly easy yet strikingly effective system that shows you how to awaken the natural leadership potential of your child while restoring your own balance, joy, and inner peace in the process.
It focuses on the idea of learning and expansion of your knowledge for the good of yourself and those around you. If you like our review of The Monk who sold his Ferrari you might also like our post on my favourite book: The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo. Wisdom to Create a Life of Passion, Purpose, and PeaceThis inspiring tale provides a step-by-step approach to living with greater courage, balance, abundance, and joy.
And your support of my mission to help people work at wow and build lives that matter – so we all make the world better.
I’m inspired by your leadership, and I too aspire to have a positive impact on others. Written as an entertaining and heartwarming story, Family Wisdom follows the continuing adventures of the now famous Julian Mantle, who first appeared in the worldwide publishing sensation The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari. Live a life based on these principles: diligence, compassion, humility, patience, honesty and courage.

A wonderfully crafted fable, The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari tells the extraordinary story of Julian Mantle, a lawyer forced to confront the spiritual crisis of his out-of-balance life.
Felt like the author just had a list of frequently asked questions and set out to answer each and every one of them one by one systematically, so there wasn't much narrative or actual enjoyment in the reading of it. Julian, a high-powered legal superstar turned enlightened monk, reveals the wisest answers to life’s deepest questions.
On a life-changing odyssey to an ancient culture, he discovers powerful, wise, and practical lessons that teach us to:Develop Joyful Thoughts, Follow Our Life's Mission and Calling, Cultivate Self-Discipline and Act Courageously, Value Time as Our Most Important Commodity, Nourish Our Relationships, and Live Fully, One Day at a Time. The "story" is essentially just 2 guys talking over dinner, actually only 1 guy talking (the titular Monk), the other guy is just there to ask the questions in between the long monologues and to confirm the Monk's answers.
I wish this book would have been written when I got married, but it is never too late to read it. I felt the listener of the story was pretty naive, he seemed to just take everything his monk friend said without question, and we're led to believe that through one night of lecturing he is enlightened; perhaps his mystical friend hypnotised him!!!
This book was recommended by a young well read mother of 2 kids and she gave it to me to read.
It’s made up of little booths- no more than 7 square meters and divided into sections.

For example, to maintain the feeling of self-confidence repeat: I am strong, capable and quiet.
I practice lots of recommendations in the book, however there are lots of things I will change in my life now. However, despite all my criticism with the characters and the non-existent story, I am glad that the subject matter was written simply without using convoluted and deep spiritual words; it could have so easily have gone that way. Read the biography of Benjamin Franklin, Mahatma Gandhi’s autobiography, Hermann Hesse, Marcus Aurelius, Seneca. Ten minutes before bedtime and 10 minutes after waking greatly influence your subconscious. At that time your mind should be programmed with serene and inspiring thoughts, thoughts, positive things.
