Developing yourself is also another way to develop good leadership skills.  This article will look at five personal development skills necessary to become a better leader.
Good leaders are transparent about what they do and how they do it.  Avoid engaging in any behavior that could be interpreted as being underhanded or devious.

As part of a training program I am participating in, I attended a talk discussing the difference between traits and skills. First, we were asked to complete a survey associated with the book StrengthsFinder 2.0 by Tom Rath. Skills are things you do well and what most performance comments are based upon, such as being detail-oriented, having good writing skills and being a clear communicator.
I believe if many of us are asked what our strengths and weaknesses are, we would focus on improving our skills. Bob stressed that we should work on playing to our strengths — your top traits — to succeed.
While I was surprised at my top five traits, after reading the details included in the book about the traits, how to work with them (not against them), and how to maximize them for success, I do believe they are accurate. The next book we will be reading is Crucial Conversations: Tools for Talking When Stakes are High, by Kerry Patterson, Joseph Grenny, Ron McMillan, and Al Switzler. A person striving for self empowerment must take control of their life by making positive choices and setting realistic goals that may influence the whole course of performing.  Developing self-awareness is key to personal empowerment and self development.


Taking some time to set and achieve goals that might be short and longer-term and developing new social and physical skills, influences your confidence. Practically the becoming dominant might seem a little bit more difficult that actually is.  Constructing personal empowerment may look at reflecting on our own values and self-skills. If you ask for a firm definition of self development, you may find that the answer can vary. This is interesting and I’m sure would be of great help in strengthening our Usana business here in the Philippines especially in Mindanao and Visayas. In the course of planning for improvement mainly we should determine the destination we are heading to.
Using  all of our knowledge like finances and power, relationships also,  is preferable in order to receive sooner success. Personal development is a continual process which can improve our ability to interact, listen, understand, communicate, negotiate, assert and manage others more effectively.
