Help Harry Help Others (HHHO) was started by a very brave boy called Harry Moseley, who, whilst suffering from an inoperable brain tumour started fundraising and raising awareness of Brain Cancer. As part of our ongoing partnership with HHHO, this Christmas Aspire Sports have pledged to Help Harry Help Others supporting families with children in local hospices like Acorns.
For many families who have children in hospices, Christmas can be an especially difficult time of year, and with HHHO’s support, we wanted to make a difference by organising a Christmas present appeal. On MONDAY 22nd DECEMBER we will be receiving donations at all five of our Active Camp venues.
If you would like to donate a gift please bring it to the camp, if possible please label the gift  so we know if it is for a boy or girl and the approximate age for the gift (if you don’t have any spare tags, don’t worry we will have some tags at the venues). Thank you in advance for your help and support, we wish you and your family a very Happy Christmas.
A few months ago I attended the Institute of Fundraising Annual Awards night where people who made a difference to world of fundraising this year were honoured for their work. Harry Moseley was an inspirational young man who, despite suffering from brain cancer, dedicated his time to making and selling bracelets to raise money for charity, to help fund research into the prevention of cancer.
Sadly Harry passed away aged just 11 in October 2011 and was posthumously awarded the Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year award. Harry’s mum Georgie collected the award on his behalf and gave possibly the most moving speech I have ever heard.

I was honoured to speak to Georgie yesterday about Harry’s charity – Help Harry Help Others – which gets its official launch in Birmingham today.
Georgie told us: “The motto of Harry’s charity is “Handmade with love for people with cancer” – that’s what Harry was all about. Ben developed a close friendship with 12 year-old Harry Moseley and his family, who campaigned relentlessly on behalf of Cancer Research UK until Harry’s tragic death from brain cancer in September 2011.
Ben remains involved with Harry’s family as an ambassador for the Help Harry Help Others campaign, and often wears the bracelets that Harry made for him. Legalmatters were inspired by Harry’s story and we are proud to support and raise funds to help Team Harry help others through Cure, Cope and Care. Legalmatters’ services are affordable fixed-fee personal legal services available online and over the telephone. A Lasting Power of Attorney allows you to choose someone you can trust to make decisions on your behalf when you are unable to in the event that your health deteriorates unexpectedly or you have an accident.
Legalmatters shall not be held responsible in any way for information provided on our website by a third party provider. In just over two years Harry had organised and also won numerous awards including Britain’s Kindest Kid 2009 – 2010 and Children’s Champions award via News of the World, to name just two. Amongst the very worthy winners, one person stood out for me and I think for everyone who was there that night.

I can honestly say that grown men were moved to tears, both by Harry’s story and by Georgie’s tremendous courage in continuing his fundraising work. Everything stemmed from Harry, the charity was all his idea and we are simply continuing what he started. What was so impressive was that he would personally go into schools and businesses anywhere and pitch his ideas - ideas which weren’t just about raising money for his charity, but more importantly for Harry, were also about inspiring young people from a business perspective to take on the challenge and make it profitable.
Legalmatters is not authorised nor is legalmatters holding itself out to be authorised to provide regulated financial services advice.
Help is on hand for any other charity or service that provide specialist care for Cancer patients. The presents will then be distributed to local hospices in time for Christmas by HHHO and Aspire Sports staff. We hope you can be part of Harry’s journey that helps to support everyone affected by Cancer.
