September 17, 2014After all of the fun and adventures that we’ve had over the Summer, it’s easy to just sit back in September and do pretty much nothing other than snuggle on the settee and relax. Go for a nature walk and collect some of the lovely colourful leaves that you see along the way. Find out what’s going on at your local museums and pop along to any activities or exhibits that you think might be interesting. Go find somewhere new to explore – the woods, a new park, a national trust or English heritage property.
Go for a walk in the dark and see what stars you can spot (a free app can be a great help). Play in the garden even in the cold – our trampoline is popular no matter what the weather!

Children can often make crafts in the store for free and there are adult sessions for free or $2 from time to time. Seeds are very inexpensive and growing your own fruits and vegetables will help you save money on groceries. Some of them inspire creativity through technology while others teach kids to build something they get to bring home and call their own.
We have a museum that we go to, and I also like going to the library and the big Park downtown. We mainly go to the park (free except for the nature center) and movies (free since I have free passes).

When I was Little I used to Love Playing Outside or Going to the Library (I Still Love to do that!) What happened to Kids these Days?
