It is advisable that you avoid eating 2-3 hours prior to the class time, to allow your body a sufficient period of time for digestion of previous meals. Sweats, long pants and heavy t-shirts are not recommended, since the hot yoga room is designed to make you perspire.
Yoga Mat: If you do not own a yoga mat, you will be able to rent a mat from the studio for $3. Yogiraj Bikram Choudhury is the founder of The Yoga College of India, which is known worldwide. Bikram practiced yoga at least four to six hours every day at Ghosh’s College of Physical Education located in Calcutta, India.
Soon after, Bikram was asked by Ghosh to open several yoga schools in India, and asked to follow the scientific principles as they applied to a yoga practice, which were taught to him by Ghosh. We consider Bikram Yoga to be the single best form of yoga for the achievement and maintenance of perfect health, body and mind and highly recommend it for people of all ages, skill levels and body types.
Bikram Yoga is the original form of hot yoga, consisting of 26 Hatha Yoga postures and two breathing exercises.
Bikram Yoga brings your body back to square one — the way our bodies were meant to be — in a safe process of restoration and rejuvenation.
It is an excellent cardiovascular workout without high impact and stress on joints, making it accessible for everyone. The yoga student’s rate of progress will depend upon his or her natural physical abilities to a small extent, but will depend ultimately upon the time and effort dedicated towards the yoga practice. This energizing breathing exercise can fill your lungs with up to six times more oxygen than a regular breath.
As you bend backwards you compress the posterior part of your spinal column, pushing your disks away from the spinal nerves and decompress the front of the vertebrae. Those concerned and intimidated by back-bending should rest assured that the controlled environment and proper progression of the Bikram Yoga series allows for back-bends to be preformed safely.
Unlike traditional “touch-your-toes” hamstring-stretch taught in PE class, hands-to-feet pose the whole body. This strength posture depends on the precise alignment of the feet to deliver the benefits.
After the intense cardio workout of the balancing postures, this pose helps to calm the nervous system, release the lower back and flush the brain. The focus in standing separate forehead-to-knee is to create maximum compression in the front side of the body.
After the body has been stimulated by preforming the standing series, a two minute savasana is preformed to heal the body. Wind-removing pose is like Bikram’s “Pepto Bismol.” This pose stimulates the ascending, descending and transverse colon as well as the stomach and small intestines.
Locust pose helps to re-align the elbow, a joint that is naturally built to straighten but rarely does. After the strengthening benefits of cobra, locust and full locust, bow pose opens the entire spine in a deep back bend. Half tortoise increases circulation to the brain stimulating the pineal and pituitary gland helping to regulate serotonin and melatonin. Forehead-to-knee once again compresses the front side of the body deeply massaging the pancreas, helping to regulate blood sugar.
The final forward stretch helps to extend the legs and stretch the spine in a 360 degree angle. After compressing, decompressing, twisting and bending the spine in four directions, the final spine twist is the last detoxification for the vertebral column. Kapalbhati breathing is the most effective yogic breathing exercise for detoxifying the lower lungs, where many toxins accumulate. Since graduating, I have been teaching Bikram Yoga full time and have had the privilege of teaching in numerous cities, including Toronto, Kitchener, Vancouver and Mumbai (the studio owned by Bikram Choudhury). While I have practiced various forms of yoga, (in both Canada and India) including Ashtanga, Yin, Kundalini, and Iyengar, I truly feel that nothing has as profound an effect on both the physical and emotional well being as the Bikram series.
I do my very best to make the classes I teach dynamic, motivating, educational and inspiring by drawing on all my personal experiences in the hot yoga room as a yoga student myself, learning from Bikram and his senior teachers, travelling the world, and reading books on yoga. I graduated from McMaster University in 2009 with a Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Anthropology and minoring in Religious Studies. My goal is to share with other yoga practitioners the joy and growth that comes along with practicing Bikram Yoga, and show how the lessons we learn in the hot room about ourselves and others can be translated into other aspects of our life. Outside of my Yoga Life I have 2 dogs who I love dearly and I enjoy reading, hiking, crafts, traveling and cooking.
I studied Nursing in Thunder Bay, Ontario, graduating from Lakehead University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2011. Finishing school, I decided I would look for a job in any city with a Bikram studio, landing in Hamilton! I began teaching right away in Mexico City at Bikram Yoga Mexico before returning to work at the hospital in Hamilton, and now have the honor of teaching at my home studio, BYHD. In my spare time when I’m not doing yoga, I enjoy travelling, listening to a wide variety of musical talents, exploring nature trails and spending time with friends and family.
After all those years playing racquetball and jetskiing at such a high level, it wore my body down. I’m currently in my 4th year at McMaster finishing my degree in Commerce at the DeGroote School of Business in Hamilton. Andrea Blakey started practicing Bikram Yoga in a small, stinky studio with no showers in 2001.
I was first introduced to Bikram Yoga in 2013 by the friendly suggestion of another teacher. In my early 20s, I went to university with the intention of obtaining a degree and becoming a school teacher, and hated every minute of it.
After taking my very first class, I immediately felt better than I had in years, physically as well as mentally.
Less than two years later I decided to take this journey even further and make my way to Thailand for the Spring 2015 Teacher Training.
In the future I hope share with others what has been so miraculous for me and to help as many people as possible to see and feel the amazing things that Bikram Yoga can do for them.
Since then, I have pursued a daily Ashtanga-Mysore practice under the watchful eye of my teacher Anna Muzzin. I used to have many mood swings – they have disappeared.  As for physical benefits, there are so many – deep sleeps, my bad knee injury — are aimed toward strengthening and healing process, quick metabolism, better digestion, fit body and the list goes on and on! I believe that yoga is a sacred gift, and I am honored to share the practice with students at any stage in the journey. Failed back surgery syndrome describe the condition of patients who have not had a successful result with back surgery or spine surgery. There are many reasons that a surgery may or may not work, and even with the best surgeon and for the best indications; spine surgery is no more than 95% predictive of a successful result. Unfortunately, back surgery or spine surgery cannot literally cut out a patient’s pain. By far the number one reason back surgery is not effective is because the lesion that was operated on is not in fact the cause of the patient’s pain. Some types of back surgery are far more predictable in terms of alleviating a patient’s symptoms than others.
A discectomy (or microdiscectomy) for a lumbar disc herniation that is causing leg pain is a very predictable operation. Therefore, the best way to avoid a spine surgery that leads to an unsuccessful result is to stick to operations that have a high degree of success and to make sure that an anatomic lesion that is amenable to surgical correction is identified preoperatively. Research indicates that chiropractic manipulation combined with specific strength and stabilizing rehabilitation exercises have a higher chance of easing and correcting your cause of pain than medication or physical therapy alone. Chiropractic and other conservative care treatments can still be effective even when surgery has failed to relieve the pain .
When the passage through which the spinal cord runs becomes clogged, the condition is called spinal stenosis, which can cause pain in your neck, back, arms, shoulders, hips, and legs. Foraminal stenosis symptoms are caused when vertebral openings (foramina) become narrow, effectively compressing and pinching the nerves passing through the openings on their way to the rest of the body. This nerve disorder can result in a variety of problems, depending on the location of the nerve root being pinched. Surgery is recommended only if compressed disc symptoms become overwhelming and lasts for an extended period of time.
Conventional back surgery attempts to solve this and other back problems with extreme measuresa€”such as removing a spinal disc or fusing parts of the spine together, so that they no longer move independent of one another, significantly decreasing the spine's mobility, or ability to move freely.
As you can imagine, major alterations like this to your spine (not to mention the huge access wound) take a long time to heal, several weeks or months.
Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgery (MISS) is a procedure for decompressing nerve roots and other tissues affected by a foraminal stenosis, as well as several other types of back conditions. MISS is performed with micro instruments, fiber optics, lasers and digital imaging, as opposed to conventional highly invasive knives, bone saws and other equally trauma-inducing devices. Foraminal stenosisa€”one of the more common back problemsa€”for example, can cause pressure on the nerves in your spine, causing severe pain. MISS, on the other hand, is performed with very small a€?microa€? instruments and tiny cameras inserted through a small tube. MISS requires no hospitalization, allows for earlier recovery and earlier return to work and return to daily activities, when compared to conventional spine surgery. Loss of fine motor control in the hands, resulting in changes in handwriting, dropping of objects, etc. If untreated, spinal cord compression can often cause someone to become totally and permanently disabled.

Born in Calcutta in 1946, Bikram began practising yoga at the age of four with India’s most-renowned physical culturist at that time, Bishnu Ghosh.
At the age of thirteen, he won the 1st place award in the National India Yoga Championship.
After suffering this injury, renowned European doctors informed Bikram that he would not walk again.
Rate of progress will have very little to do with how perfectly a student is able to perform the poses, but rather that the yoga student feels that he or she is endeavouring to achieve the proper form to the best of his or her ability.

The rate of progress will be determined by the person’s understanding of the yoga postures, their attention to the form of the posture and the amount of effort applied while holding the posture. Since oxygen is a major source of energy for the body, it is not usual to feel dizzy in the standing deep breathing. When stagnant air is pushed from the bottom of the lungs it causes a release of cellular and metabolic waste from the respiratory system. By maintaining the form of the pose and keeping your hips and shoulders in alignment, your body receives many benefits.
As the knee locks, the contraction of the thigh creates a “suspension” of the knee joint, pulling bone away from bone.
The pose moves blood flow from one side of the body, dumping it into the other and creating a profound circulatory flush.
Proper execution of the pose means that the arms and legs are positioned above the heart (except the standing leg.) This helps to flush the heart and arteries, particularity the horse-shoe artery.
The purpose of standing separate leg stretching is to create a 360 degree stretching in the body.
This pose is often called the six pack posture because of the way that it strengthens the abs when done correctly.
Both are huge hip and knee opening postures but mainly focus on creating the strength and alignment to maintain good posture and balance. Savasana is one of the most important parts of a hatha-yoga practice and it is often said that this is where the “magic” happens in the Bikram Yoga series.
The order in which the pose is preformed helps to stimulate the bowels, cures constipation and improves nutrient absorption.
A quick stretch to the hamstrings, it helps to prepare and open the lower back and legs for the final stretching pose at the end of class.
Cobra creates an intense massage of the abdomen which helps digestive function and prevents and helps to cure digestive ailments. As you lie down on top the elbow, compression blocks blood flow to the wrists and elbows in the pose.
Highly therapeutic for the spine, this pose is also beneficial for the digestive system and reproductive systems which get massaged during the posture. This posture evenly stretches all of the major ligaments in the knees and ankles in an anatomically correct position.
The posture is like doing a seated standing head-to-knee and is a good opportunity to practice perfecting the form without worrying about balance. It is a pose that is incredibly effective for releasing tension from the hamstrings and the lower back. A good massage for the abdominal organs, the primary focus is to twist and, like a wet rag, release all the toxins from the spine.
After receiving my B.A in Sociology and Psychology at The University of Western Ontario in 2005, I travelled extensively through Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Japan and Taiwan and also became certified as a Thai Massage Therapist. I have complete and absolute belief that Bikram Yoga is the best form of yoga for everyone, no matter what their age or physical condition, and I am grateful for the opportunity to introduce others to the original hot yoga. During my education, I found a yoga studio offering Hot Yoga and thought I had found something amazing. I began my full time practice at Bikram Yoga Hamilton Dundas (BYHD) and my full time nursing career at Hamilton Health Sciences.
Bikram Yoga is an empowering practice, allowing us to realize our potential and to take control of our own health. I graduated from Mohawk College’s Recreation and Leisure services program in 2008 and when I am not teaching yoga, I work in the Recreation department at Extendicare, a long term care facility here in Hamilton, creating and implementing activities and programs for the residents.
I grew up in an environment bred for sports and competition; anything my brothers did, I could do, and most of time I was much better.
I then tried other forms of hot yoga to compare, and after a month of assessing the different types of yoga, I knew that Bikram yoga was the best yoga I could do. My teacher training was in the Fall of 2013, and I’m excited to teach what I have learned from my experience. She stuck with it, and is thrilled to see how much the community has grown (and how nice the studio amenities have become) since then. I had never taken a yoga class before, and having suffered from severe chronic back pain and tension for years, I thought it might be a good thing to try. I had always been passionate about the idea of teaching and guiding others, but at the time I couldn’t help but feeling that I wasn’t on the right path. He believe’s yoga is just as much about learning how to navigate your body, as it is about exploring new ways to experience a more fulfilling life. I truly believe that one’s yoga practice will never reach a peak, rather it will continuously grow stronger and deeper – past the physical asana. My desire to continuously study not only the yoga practice but the body and movement allows me to expand on my own practice and share it with my students to move well and correctly. I earned my bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1999 and started working in the marketing industry after graduation. Bikram yoga gives me physical and emotional strength and makes me feel empowered and in control of my life.
My intention as a teacher is to guide students to see and believe in their own highest potential, using the body, breath, and Bikram Yoga asana as a vehicle. It is only able to change anatomy, and an anatomical lesion (injury) that is a probable cause of back pain. However, a discectomy for a lumbar disc herniation that is causing lower back pain is far less likely to be successful. Holmes Spine & Sport also utilizes an active spinal decompression table to release nerve pressure and help heal herniated disc and sciatica pain.
Holmes Spine & Sport Chiropractic provides a number of conservative treatments which makes it easier to get the care you need.
Additional openings called foramen allow the nerves branching from the spinal cord to travel to the arms, legs and other parts of the body.
For example, foraminal stenosis in the L5 a€“ S1 level can compress the sciatic nerve in the lower back. During a physical exam, the doctor looks for limitations on movement, pain, loss of reflexes or other symptoms when the patient moves his or her spine.
Until recently, often this was a major operation that required general anesthesia, the dissection of muscle, removal of bone, manipulation of nerve roots, and, at times, bone fusion.
Too often, considering the risks and sustained trauma, these solutions fail to relieve the patient's pain or make it and the overall spine condition worse.
Compared to conventional open back surgery, which usually entails huge incisions, displacing muscle tissue and nerve roots, and sometimes the removal of bone, MISS is without question much less traumatic. Conventional back surgery attempts to solve this and other disc problems with extreme measuresa€”such as removing a spinal disc or fusing parts of the spine together, so that they no longer move independent of one another. We also use x-ray, and other types of visualization technology to help guide the instruments, allowing us to a€?seea€? what wea€™re doing without cutting and clearing obstructing vital tissues and structures. All classes are 90 minutes in length and the yoga postures are performed in a room heated to 105 degrees F (40 degrees C) with 40% humidity.
Ghosh is the younger brother of Paramahansa Yogananda, who is the author of the popular yoga book, ‘The Autobiography of a Yogi’. He held the 1st place title for the next three years and then retired as the undisputed ‘India National Yoga Champion’. The postures are completed in a sequential order over a 90 minute period and have been scientifically designed to warm and safely stretch muscles, ligaments and tendons through a sequence of complementary postures. Progress is felt by the yoga student when his or her muscles and joints have become supple in comparison to the state of these muscles and joints prior to practicing Bikram Yoga. Through compression of the throat, the velocity of air entering the lungs is increased to shoot air into the lower lobes of the lungs. First the body burns fat from the thighs, waist and buttocks while the muscles of the central body are strengthened. As you pull with your arms to increase flexibility, your spine, hips and legs are stretched in what Bikram calls a “360 degree stretching angle.” Completion of this pose after half-moon and backward-bending, means that the spine has been stretched in four directions, the circulatory and nervous systems have been invigorated to prepare the body for class. By maintaining the pose, the soft tissues surrounding the knee are strengthened helping to protect the cartilage of the knee.
Standing bow is a hugely expressive pose, helping to open the shoulders, hips, spine releasing emotion and stress from the tissues. This makes the posture therapeutic for heart-conditions and effective for preventing heart disease and heart attack. It is easy to focus on stretching of the legs in this pose, but it is important to work the arms and bring the stretch into the spine.
The endocrine system benefits the most from this posture getting a thorough compression that helps to boost the metabolism and immune system. More importantly the double-exhale helps to release toxins from the lungs helping to energize the body in between the poses.
The pelvic floor is activated in this posture helping with menstrual problems, fertility and the function of reproductive organs.
When the legs lift, the upper back is engaged to strengthen the muscles of the back and shoulders.
Rabbit helps to open the inter-vertebral disks, helping to maintain their spongy nature and absorb shock in spine from daily movement. The kidneys are also extended in this posture helping with the function of the renal system. Finally it helps to calm the nervous system and cool down the body’s core temperature to help prepare for cooler temperatures outside the hot room. I am excited to open the first Bikram Yoga studio in Hamilton and Dundas and to bring the incredibly healing and transformative, world renowned Bikram Hot Yoga to this community. I’m originally from the Kingston area but moved to Hamilton with my family early in my life, and have been here ever since!
It wasn’t until I travelled to London UK to finish my degree where I found a true Bikram Hot Yoga studio and really fell in Love. Through teaching this yoga I am able to inspire and motivate others to live the fullest life possible, like a flower petal blooming!
Not only was I exercising in the heat, but I could do so all year around and I wasn’t destroying my joints the way I would when running 10km outdoors. I spent most of my elementary and high school years participating at an elite level in racquetball and jetski racing. To be at an elite level in anything, you need to be practicing the right way and the most efficient way. After her certification in Los Angeles in 2004, Andrea has instructed in Vancouver, Calgary, New Zealand, Australia and even a few classes at Bikram’s studio in Mumbai, India. But it wasn’t until I walked into the hot room for the first time that I realized how truly powerful (and life-changing) it could be!

I quit school very prematurely and decided I wasn’t going to go back until I could find something that I was truly passionate about. I soon I noticed how this yoga was having such a huge positive impact on me, allowing me to redesign and heal my body, while also giving me mental clarity, relieving me of pent up angers and stress, breaking down emotional barriers I had, and eventually giving me a whole new perspective and bearing in life.
Anthony started practicing both Asana and Meditation about 9 years ago and throughout his last 4 years of teaching, his relationship to both practices have evolved and adapted to become much more holistic. Little did I know it was the spark of a lifelong exploration and commitment – I knew it was something that I had to continue and expand in my life. In 2015, I made my two separate trips to Mysore, India to study the Ashtanga Yoga method in its complete purity with R. I strive to teach from a place of compassion and experience as that is how I have been taught.
Going into the hot room has helped me get much needed time for myself, but has also helped me become a better mother. I hope to create a challenging, safe and loving space that inspires transformation in the body, mind, and heart. However, a spine fusion for multi-level lumbar degenerative disc disease is far less likely to be successful in reducing a patient’s pain.
This can result in sciatica a€“ an often intense, burning pain that travels to the buttocks, leg, calf, and foot. Often, these types of procedures require large incisions and the manipulation bones and muscle tissue.
Also, this kind of surgery can require lengthy hospital stays, entails significant blood loss, and renders the patient vulnerable to several possible complications.
Ghosh is also the founder of the Self-Realization Fellowship in Los Angeles, California, USA.
With the head tilted back, the upper spine opens helping to prepare the neck for backward bending.
The muscles of the upper body are also profoundly strengthened by the back-bending and positioning of the arms helping with toning. When the arms and legs release this blood flow flushes the joints helping to relieve joint problems and maintaining synovial fluid. As you bend over, the proximity of the heart to the floor, puts pressure on the muscle, exercising the heart through elevating the heart rate.
As in standing head to knee, the position of the chest increases pressure on the heart helping to stimulate and exercise the cardiovascular system. Finally, because of the amount of muscles mass used in execution of the pose, balancing stick is one of the biggest calorie burners in the Bikram Yoga series. The pose cannot be executed without constant attention to form and continuos adjustment to the position of your body.
It is important to always remember that the posture is about touching the forehead to the knee to get the benefits of the posture, and not about stretching the hamstrings. When the body is still the circulatory system is unobstructed and delivers oxygen, nutrients and white blood-cells to where it is needed. When the pose is released pressurized blood flow flushes the elbows and wrists getting rid of calcium deposits, arthritic starts and scar tissue.
While in the posture, compression of the circulatory system decreases blood flow to these joints and then flushes them to eliminate scar-tissue, arthritic starts and calcium deposits in the joints. This is because in the pose, so much oxygen and nutrients are carried to the brain that the only way to get the same benefit is to sleep for eight hours.
It helps to stretch the spine so effectively that with a regular practice many people report growing up to one inch. I have been practicing Bikram Yoga since 2007 when I first discovered it in Tokyo, while teaching English in Japan. At the same time, I was seeing the transformative changes of Bikram Yoga in my life, physically, mentally and spiritually. I won multiple Junior National titles in both racquetball and jetski racing, as well as two world titles in jetski racing. I knew that Bikram yoga would give me the most benefits and the most relief from my aches and pains in my body in the shortest amount of time and in the safest way.
She is originally from Vancouver, and spent the last few years living and teaching Bikram Yoga in Toronto. Anthony’s intention as a teacher is to help guide his students into a meditative head space so that they can form their own unique relationship to the practice and use it as a means of self discovery.
I want my students to feel better when they leave a yoga class, feel supported in the environment around them and trust that the yoga room is place to grow.
Like so many people, I did it because it seemed like a great way to whip myself into shape and gain some flexibility. I am refreshed and renewed by having and accomplishing my own goals and I am modeling better behaviour for my kids. I vow to honor diversity, to teach with integrity, and I strive to always teach from the heart. When the passage through which the spinal cord runs becomes clogged, the condition is called spinal stenosis. Constriction of the nerve roots leaving the spine in the foraminal canal is typically caused by bone spurs, a herniated or bulging disc, arthritis or ligament thickening.
A pinched nerve in the neck, however, may be the cause of pain and muscle weakness in the shoulder, arm, and hand. Minimally invasive surgery, then, refers to surgical procedures designed to do as little collateral or malingering damage as possible.
It can also be performed on multiple discs or other offending areas, even at widely spaced levels, during the same surgical session. Too often, considering the risks and sustained trauma, these solutions fail to relieve the patienta€™s pain or make it and the overall spine condition worse.
Damage to tissues and other vital structures in the immediate vicinity are, in nearly all instances, so minuscule that within a very short time the access point and path are healed, with little to no impact on the patienta€™s body and overall health. You will then be able to adjust your eating schedule to complement your body’s requirements. He had absolute confidence in Ghosh and believed that if anyone could repair his damaged knee, it would indeed be this man. Noticeable improvements to muscle tone, weight, general health and well-being automatically follow one’s dedication to a regular practice. Simply put, this means that to be perfect in Yoga, a person performs the yoga postures to the best of their ability. Because this breath is up to six times deeper than a regular breath, it increases lung capacity while giving you quick energy. Overall, the body is energized and the circulatory and nervous systems are stimulated, invigorating the body for class. Finally the deep stretching stimulates glands and organs to help give you quick energy while maintaining the health of many body systems. The completion of all four stages of the pose profoundly strengthens the body and mind, improving confidence, focus, patience and determination. Maintaining triangle pose helps to bring a harmony to the respiratory and cardiovascular systems.
These materials are the building blocks of healing, which creates the therapeutic benefit of this pose. Locust is also beneficial for carpal tunnel syndrome and tennis elbow and effectively maintains the dexterity of your hands. The stretch in rabbit is created by the pull on the heels, so it is important to always keep a tight grip in order to create enough force to stretch the spine.
I soon found myself at the Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in Los Angeles, California graduating in November 2012. So when my best friend suggested I join her for hot yoga, I figured I’d give it a try. I felt better about myself, found better ways of dealing with stress and I was overall a happier person. She recently relocated to Hamilton, and is excited to bring her passion and years of experience to the podium at BYHD.
Music is a very big component in Anthony’s teaching, as it helps his students find their rhythm and can be a very powerful device for transformation. Foraminal Stenosis can also be caused by enlargement of a joint (the uncinate process) in the spinal canal. Working on multiple levels with open back surgery often requires additional destructive entry woundsa€”far too much traumatic damage for patients to endure or recover from.
Six months later, his knee had completely healed, after practising yoga under the guidance of Ghosh. Eagle pose particularity stimulates the reproductive system making this a great pose for sexual vitality and fertility. After seeing huge changes in my physique, skin, flexibility, immune system and overall mental and physical health I knew I had found my calling. Less than a year later, I made the decision to attended the Fall 2011 Teacher Training in Los Angeles.
In addition to working within the studio & wellness environment, he has dedicated much of the past 3 years to bringing mindfulness practices into schools across the Greater Toronto Area as part of an extensive mental health and research initiative.
Ghosh was the first person to ‘scientifically’ document yoga’s ability to cure chronic physical ailments and heal the body. In the fall of 2008, I attended the Bikram Yoga Teacher Training in Acapulco and was certified by Bikram Choudhury.
Anthony has taught classroom students and educators strategies for stress reduction, self regulation and emotional resiliency in over 50 schools, which he considers to be by far one of the most rewarding opportunities that he has ever received. I enjoyed it at first and from there it changed from something I LOVED to do into something “had” to do to. Ghosh applied the scientific principles of observation, experimentation and deduction to yoga postures. Anthony believes that yoga and meditation is literally for everybody and he is very passionate about sharing the same modalities that have brought greater harmony, creativity and purpose into his own life. A tiny titanium plate and screws then fix the lamina to the bone spacer and the facet joint.
This scientific approach brought a deeper understanding of the therapeutic benefits of a yoga practice, to the general public.
