So I want to share with you some tips for buying books on the cheap to help make your book buying habits a little easier on the bank account.
So I’m possibly cutting this one out when my renewal comes up, but it does save you same money on books.
There’s a decent book store by me that has used books for a certain percentage of their original list price, and they give you even more off if you trade in books. I had never even heard of this book, but it sounded like a great book to read during the first week of school, to combat yelling out. This sounds like a perfect book to help explain to kindergartners how fire drills work and to not be afraid. If you are looking for other options to buy books, then here are several different ones to choose from. And don’t forget to make wish list for parents at Back to School night, Open House, and any event that brings a parent to school. I’m a homeschooling mama, so we are always on the lookout for great deals on books too. I do have to admit that walking into the old Waterstone's on New Street (in Brum) does have its own magic & it is a satisfying thing to do on Saturday afternoon, when living in a big city, but I'm not overly happy when I get my receipt with a double digit number for 2 books that I will read in less than a week. Works is a little random shop which you may have not even noticed before (there's one on New Street in Brum), where they sell whole load of random things - from little alien eggs to board games and BOOKS.
With EBooks, all you need to do is download them and transfer them to the EBook reader and you are good to go.
There are various sites where free legal books and e-readers cold be available for purchase. You know we love books at the Book People, but sometimes we just have so many that we need to make room for the next batch of exciting new books coming into our warehouse. Exactly the same books you’d find in the shops, our Outlet offers discounted books for all ages – from children’s books starring popular TV characters and superheroes to contemporary and romantic fiction and craft books to help you find a new hobby.
But the one thing to remember when buying these discounted books is that the stock is very, very limited – so don’t hang around, buy some bargain books from the Book People’s Outlet today and get all your family and friends reading.
Another one of the books that I didn’t have, but had a great review was Miss Mingo and the Fire Drill. Throughout the duration of the conference, I wrote down enough books to fill an entire page and wanted, no NEEDED every one of them!

I think they both are dystopian trilogies and I just got them off E-bay for dirt cheap and now I'm trying to get my hands on the rest of the series, because I'm always gutted when I finish one book and can't start the next sequel straight away (yeh, happened to me with Maze Runner because it got miraculously sold out as soon as I'd finished reading book one). I bought The Hunger Game trilogy there for £8 (all three books together!) and they usually have offers like 3 books for a fiver!
Another benefit of finding and buying those kinds of books is that most can be installed in those EBook reading devices like Amazon’s Kindle, Noble Nook, and Sony EBook reader among others.
Although they are so heavily reduced, these are brand new books that we just know you will love. I usually wait until they have 40-50% off Bargain Bin prices and get a bunch for closer to $2 a pop.
I love reading, watching TV, photography, DIY projects and I like to pretend that I'm crafty thanks to Pinterest.
Or you go to a workshop or conference and someone talks about a super cool book and you’re sad because you have never even heard of that book and suddenly need it like…now!
Despite all these benefits, there are various challenges that face most book purchasers from all walks of life. Although online sales of books could be cheaper, you need to be careful when placing your EBook collection order.
With current state of economy finding cheap books online is a big step that should be taken by every academician. Today I just wanted to briefly show you the books I've got on a pile 'to read' & a few tips where to look for cheaper books!
It's a bit of a quest to find books there, but it's well worth it if you're just looking for A book, not one particular book.
The ability to find and buy books online has helped many people access these necessary items at cheap rates. Note that you could also access free books on the internet by downloading them from sites that supports distribution of free books and other reading materials.
The downside is that shipping is about $5 (and SUPER slow, I mean they’re one state over from me, how does it take so long?!), so you have to make it worth it and buy a bunch when you make an order.
You can purchase books online differently, that is, there are online stores that sell both hard copy and soft copy books.
But they’re always having awesome sales that lure me in, like $5 off your order which helps with that shipping charge. So when they send you a coupon, if you pair it with a book already on sale online and then get the free shipping it’s not too bad. There are thousands of titles to choose from and the inventory is always changing because people are always posting new stuff.

Hard copy means you don’t need computer software or a special reading device to be able to read the said book where as soft copy means you may need a computer reading software or book reader also known as EBook reader to go through each page. Stores like Amazon and other popular online stores endeavor to convert these books to acceptable formats. You can also copy certain passages to clipboard and paste them elsewhere, which allows you to take notes and perform your analysis with ease! An electronic book better known as an EBook has a lot of benefits as compared to hard copy books, which can also be purchased online by placing an order. It's a bit silly when you get to read a trilogy and you have to wait more than a year to finish it off, urgh. If you are thinking of printing some, the same case happens, there are those books formatted for printing, and would also be available on popular online stores. I also got the oh-so-amazing (or not?!) 50 Shades of Grey from the boyfriend because his whole family read it, haha! I've got a feeling it's gonna be something like Oscar Wilde's Lady Fuckingham, which wasn't a bad (although a very cheeky) read as I remember! Michael Grant's series of six books starting with Gone caught my eye for a number of reasons. I really don't mind though cos I can't afford amazons or waterstones prices cos I read about 4 books a month so this saves me a fair bit! The description always states the condition of the book - you usually get a book which have been read only once so you pretty much getting yourself a new book! Secondly, the name of each sequel is pretty snappy and the design is so creative - each of the books is black & a colour (usually neon shade) and the same colour is not only in the name of the book, but also all the pages are tinted with it (obviously just the edge, not the whole text)! I like Amazon if I'm looking for something specific or something fairly new, but I like supporting actual bookstores like Waterstones too (plus I have a Waterstones card for points ^_^)I also love browsing tiny second hand book shops in my area, you can find some really amazing books with gorgeous vintage covers if you look hard enough!
When you find the book you want, there are two prices - one is for a new book and one is for a used book. Followed you via GFC :-) I havent read anything in a while due to cost etc, plus my local library has been under construction for the past year!
I haven't been to a flea market or car boot sale in the UK yet, but back in Czech Republic you get the best bargains there - books for 10p, that's what I'm talking about! Although I've to say that most of them are in a ridiculous state and the authors are a few centuries old, it's good for hunting down some classics!
Now this might be an obvious option, but sometimes the most obvious is what you never think of - ask your friends if you can borrow their books!
