After reading this doodle, I believe I should restart and learn the skills of designing by having a proper tutor or course.
I find inspiration and motivation from various sources, one of them you’re already doing, which is approaching other people who design and do artworks too! Personally, because of my self-taught background, I am not one to think that a formal course or qualification is necessary in order for someone to successfully produce designs.

Looking back, I’ve had a lot of positive experiences in my life that have led me to feel pretty confident about myself and my abilities. In comparison to some of the really big bloggers I was following, a day of traffic to my blog was probably equivalent to 10 minutes worth on theirs. Start with little things that push you just outside of your comfort zone, even if you’d never admit to anyone that you were indeed uncomfortable doing them. It sounds silly, the first thing I did was ride around my condo complex, just to make sure I could clip in and out of the pedals.

I don’t consider myself a fashionista by any means, but can definitely attest to the fact that making an effort to dress a little nicer, do my hair, paint my nails, or make any other improvements appearance-wise always makes me feel more confident. This is an obvious one, and coincidentally also happened to be included in my tricks for beating belly bloat. As adults, we often look at exercise as something we have to do, rather than something we can be doing for fun. The truth of the matter is that our bodies were meant to move, and I’m a firm believer that the best kind of exercise is the one you enjoy the most. You’re probably not conscious of it at every moment, but we make a lot of judgments about ourselves and others as we go about our day to day lives.

Children who can solve problems and follow through have higher chances for success in school and after school life. Here your role would be to watch, supervise, play and participate, but not to restrict and limit. Next time you go out shopping with your little one, let her make decisions like which pants she wants mommy to buy for her or which color or shirt she prefers to wear for today. Activities like learning a musical instrument, creating crafts, finger-painting, making crayon drawings or simply acting-out the story of a book will bring satisfaction and sense of accomplishment to children. It was easy to become frustrated when I saw that I wasn’t growing my readership as fast as I wanted to, so I had to constantly remind myself that nobody starts a blog with a big following right off the bat. Small wins might be the ability to run 5 minutes longer than last time, adding an extra serving of veggies to a meal, or discovering a new nutrient-dense food that you really like. For example, this year I knew I wanted to try a duathlon, but it wasn’t until I actually got on my bike in the spring that the realization of how scared I was set in. The next weekend I went out on the roads near my house (which I learned are lovely and very quiet at 6am on a Sunday morning!), and the week after, I joined a local cycling club’s clinic for beginners. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Lululemon gear and spend a large amount of time living in it. We all know that doing something physical, whether it’s going for a long run, attending a group exercise class, or simply taking a stroll around the block on a lunch break, makes us feel lot better than doing nothing, right?
Whatever that is for you will help you feel better about yourself, your life, and I bet it’ll make the people around you want to do the same.
Eventually, these judgments can become self-fulfilling prophecies, even if there’s no evidence or reason for them to be true.

I was in a really bad bike accident as a kid, and knew this was where the fear came from. I had already registered for the race and was too stubborn to back out, so I started with baby steps. It was succeeding at each one of these little challenges that built my confidence to spend more time on the bike and push myself a bit harder every time. Given the choice between tights or jeans, deep down inside I’ll probably ALWAYS want the tights. The first time I rode my bike after signing up for the duathlon, I crashed and cut up my leg pretty badly and it keeps coming back to haunt me every time I get back on my bike. As you probably figured from my mentions of my first duathlon above, my fear level was just the same as yours.
I can’t speak from experience but I think tweens and teens today are far more vulnerable to falling into the comparison trap, especially given the amount of time most of them spend online and the prominence of social media in their lives. Being motivated is all about give and take; you have to give your best to take the benefits. For others, hearing encouraging words will relax their minds and make them feel capable of tackling the task at hand. This is important to avoid confusion, but also keeping on top of it can make you feel really good. An added extra of creating goals, means crossing them of comes with a sense of fulfillment. Work requires sacrificing and having the ability to do this sensibly, it doesn’t mean neglecting something but prioritising can make it easier to feel happy about your workload and how you’ll get through it. Or lend a friend a shoulder cry on and help them sort their problems rather than obsessing over your own. Although it is true that when we choose our goals, we have to consider the things involved in it, which includes the tasks required, there are times when we simply have to go through things that we do not like much. Create a treasure map with directions pointing to hidden items around the house; now let your child go on a treasure hunt. All of these are worth celebrating because they’re small steps towards bigger, long-term habits. Then on those days that are harder to get through, looking back at those notes reminds me that my contributions are appreciated. But when it comes to special occasions (or even just a day in the office) when you feel like a bit of extra confidence would help, try polishing yourself up and see if you notice a difference in how you feel, walk, and interact with others.

I realized that I need to believe in myself and the training I’ve done and just enjoy the day with my friends. However, part of me was scared about falling off my bike and when I did it this time around (on a day when I was out for a casual ride and forgot to unclip my shoe – silly mistake), it sort of helped to take the fear out. Letting go of the expectation of perfection is tough, but failing and falling short is where some of the best lessons are learned. Now, I realized that I would have never learned and improve as much as I did without stepping out of my comfort zone.
I wasn’t even moving on the bike at the time and there were no big scrapes or anything, but something about falling just made me feel more comfortable once I got back on.
