I don't want anyone to feel unworthy, unlovable, or incapable so I have revealed some very important facts which can help you live a happier and fulfilled life. These secrets affect every area of our lives every single day but are not taught at school and are rarely a part of parenting! When you’re experiencing low self-esteem, most things seem out of reach, unachievable, and nearly impossible.
This book will absolutely help you to change that pessimistic notion into a life-changing one. The author uses real life experiences from his personal and business circles to illustrate his points. I like how the book is structured taking the readers on step by step basis - from initially recognizing important facts to getting specific about problems they may be having. Hartstein gives readers insight into what our young girls are going through developmentally and how our culture impacts their sense of self. Helping build self esteem is something not that not only our children can benefit from, but also ourselves.
I love Jamie Lee Curtis’ books because they all have a common theme in celebrating life and building self esteem in young children. Hawthorn is Willow’s art teacher and is neat, tidy and doesn’t allow her students to express themselves. Hypnotherapy is a uniquely effective way of programming the mind to overcome self-doubt and to raise self esteem and Glenn's highly acclaimed hypnosis techniques and layered production will help you achieve these goals in a safe and natural way. This book offers golden nuggets of wisdom and encouragement in an easy-to-understand fashion.??To conquer low self-esteem, you must understand, accept, acknowledge, and find an alternative perspective of happiness. Most of us don’t realize that overcoming fears or breaking unhealthy habits is doable but this book explains it in a very engaging and easy-to-understand way. Reading the book is one thing, but the true benefit from this book is in the actual application in real life.
My favorite chapters amongst these are creating positive attitude and developing good habits. It will show you how to eliminate `stinking thinking' and the nasty inner-critic that inevitably tries to flatten your self-esteem and confidence.Even a confident person will learn and benefit from this book.
It’s tough growing up and the more confidence we can instill in our children, the better.
She finally realizes that her friends love her for whom she is and learns to celebrate herself and her freckles at the end of the book. This Inspirational book can help you to: Be Positive, Believe in Yourself and Achieve Peak Performance. I am a typical worry-wart -- I stress about most everything, I worry, I pile on work when it is not needed. What I like most are the exercises at the end of each chapter which is an added perk that you get in this book unlike many self help books out there.
It was really important to bring it to the readers attention that like every thing in life, a negative attitude is nothing but a habit and eventually takes the form of learned helplessness effecting their entire lives.
Firstly, the book defines Self-beliefs (self esteem) and its effect on each area of our lives, then helps us banish the ones which prevent the development of self-worth and finally, enables us to view ourselves in a more positive way. Sweet potato moves on to the eggplant where they tell him that they “are handsome and have skin like satin”. The book takes you through a very important lesson in what can happen when you lose your individuality and only care about what others think of you.
Utilising skilled, clinical hypnotherapy techniques, you are given multiple layered post hypnotic suggestions and affirmations to develop powerful inner feelings of love and self respect. I had no self-esteem and didn’t have a positive attitude about anything.I have kept a journal while reading this book and have noticed a significant change -- even in the smallest ways. Procrastination, unnecessary distractions and the imaginary fear that our plans may not work out have killed more dreams than anything else in the world.
Hawthorn doesn’t like children to use their imagination, she just wants them to follow the rules and stay within the lines. This will help you to develop a strong feeling of self esteem and to express your self more clearly and confidently. While most other readings are pure encouragement -- all talk and no action -- this book offers real life scenarios and diagrams that are very relatable. Every chapter discusses different perspective on how to improve your self-image and be the best you can be. Focus on one thing at a time, think of how to apply over a period of time, and then do a honest evaluation.
While reading the book, one is constantly reminded about these and provided some simple solutions on breaking free from them.

Every chapter is full of life changing insight and transforming exercises.Maddy's book is a book to carry with you in your bag every day. Willow is constantly getting in trouble for breaking crayons, drawing something a different color than it should be, and just being plain different.
This continues through the book until sweet potato finally meets a friend and brings him to a place where everyone accepts him for whom he is and not what he looks like. Even a flick through it may act as your daily dose of 'food for thought' and set you up for a good day.It is a book that one will refer to again and again.
Donec scelerisque, urna id tincidunt ultrices, nisi nisl lacinia mi, at pellentesque enim mi eu felis. He’s done motivational shows for well-being TV channels and has been featured in several national newspapers and health magazines. Don’t let any junk thoughts repeat in your head” – Maddy MalhotraThis book is a must-have for every household. I also feel you will get most out of the book if you could bring along your spouse or a friend and practise the exercises together.
I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to know more about themselves or who wishes to develop their self esteem and happy relationships. Whether its your professional or personal life, this book can help you to understand the root cause of the problems and help you to be more positive, believe in yourself and live a fulfilled life.Thank you Maddy for this masterpiece!
The author has fearlessly used his own example at the start of the book about his challenges and achievements that compels one to think that ok if this person can go through his set of difficulties in life and still be able to fight back and achieve so much and be a productive member of the society. The chapter on self-esteem and the fact that is worth more than what societal pressure imposes on you is very helpful as well. Hawthorn is so touched by Willow’s generosity that she decides to turn over a new leaf for the new year.
Etiam pulvinar, mi et molestie vestibulum, neque tellus pulvinar massa, vel varius nulla tellus at tortor. Though the book generally targets issues that are applicable to both the sexes but the additional chapter about self-image is something that will help the female readers in particular. In the artificial world that we live in today, women are constantly fed with false ideas of perfectionism in terms of being a certain size, height, clothes and shoes they should be wearing etc leaving little room for them to exercise their objective point of view of what they in fact find beautiful. I don’t want anyone to feel unworthy, unlovable, or incapable so I have revealed some very important facts which can help you live a happier and fulfilled life.
It is reassuring to read that self –image is what ‘we’ create and not what is forcefully implied upon us by external sources and hence we (esp women) will never be able to get out of the kaleidoscope of misery, confusion and self- hatred unless we learn to respect our selves in every form, size and age. I also believe that the book is helpful for many out there who may be brilliant at their existing skills however due to the lack of self confidence have not been able to exploit their talent at its fullest. This became the biggest reason for me to write this book and create seminars and home study course. Many times we may have great ideas at work but due to shyness and lack of belief in our selves we tend to hold back in sharing them or we tend to live in a belief that the others are more capable and intelligent than us – this is exactly what the book discourages us at and reminds us that we can excel at anything only if we put our minds to it.
I like how time and again helpful quotations have been used throughout the book - i as a reader have highlighted my favorite ones as its nice to flick through the book once in a while and read these :) Also, the exercise of self-analysis is very helpful too - it does help after reading each chapter to analyze how one is feeling in certain areas of their lives and dwell on the root causes of their problems. To summarise I can say that the key benefits a reader can attain from the book would be encouragement at leadership skills, help at developing and maintaining a positive attitude and most importantly, to never cease believing in oneself. And yet we never quite seem to achieve what we desperately seek and we can’t seem to keep hold of it when we do. Quite simply we sabotage our own efforts with ‘limiting beliefs’ about our capabilities and our worth. In this Easy to read and Practical book Maddy Malhotra aims to help us change that forever.
If you have ever failed to achieve something you set out to do or achieved it and then lost it afterwards, this is the book for you. Learn why and how your beliefs are holding you back, what you can do about it and how You Can build Belief in Yourself. If you like Stephen Covey’s Seven Habits of Highly Effective People or Brian Tracy’s books or the Chicken Soup for the Soul series (Jack Canfield), then you’ll like this too! Some readers of this book, who had read ‘The Secret’, realised why the ‘law of attraction’ didn’t work for them!
