As we are stuck in the routine that is our so-called life, we often ponder this very question. The select few that actually reach a pinnacle of success within their lives do not reach it merely for the sake of having reached it. It is not about getting more, and this is the veil that most people can’t see through. For example, if you are 7 feet tall and can dunk a basketball, maybe your life’s purpose is to be a basketball player. My need of purpose is far beyond what this article is going on about, I don’t even know what it is, I just hate doing nothing, or doing anything for no reason. Well put and it is something each of us should be doing insteadof pursuing useless things that don’t make us happy at the end of the day. It was a great book for showing the dangers that come with following society’s path rather than making your own path. Others volumes fill the shelves trying to help people understand that we each have a life purpose.
Mistakes are a great way to uncover your purpose because you have the opportunity to find out what you like and don’t like.
It could be as simple as making a phone call, sending an email, or doing some research on the Internet.

In a time when people have lost their jobs or have experienced some kind of loss, it is our identity and purpose that centers us and gives us courage to consider living a life that is of purpose. Find that you look at your job differently because you really are fulfilling your life purpose in your current job and you find happiness in doing it.
Your purpose in life will bring you happiness and true happiness comes from contributing to other people’s lives and making a difference for someone else. Your purpose will be realized one step at a time until one day you find that you are living it.
Encore.org has put purpose at the top of their focus as they created the prestigious and inspirational Purpose Prize Awards.
Or you might find yourself in a completely different career because you have found your real life purpose. Once you get what’s not working out of the way, you can make room for the good stuff.
You probably take these things for granted, not recognizing them for the special, significant and unique gifts they actually are.
When something that strong is in your heart, it’s only a matter of time before you discover what it is. Richard Leider’s book does an incredible job of looking at the many benefits of finding purpose from an emotional, physical and psychological point of view. Consequently, 60% of us are unhappy in the jobs we’re in and would quit if we thought we could.
