At Happy Feet Childcare we work closely with a specialist childcare First Aid Company called Babyem. This 1 day Ofsted compliant paediatric first aid course is an appropriate course for those wanting to register with Ofsted on the voluntary part of the Childcare Register.
Paediatric First Aid      Tel: 07807 456569 We are able to deliver 2 paediatric First Aid Courses. Whether you are a single parent, married couple or an active family, first aid training in the home can greatly increase your family’s safety. It is a requirement of the Health & Safety(first aid) Regulations 1981 that employers provide a safe environment for their employees.
This course will meet your requirements if your assessment of first aid needs highlights the need to maintain the qualification of your existing First Aiders. Where an organisation’s risk assessment of First Aid needs identifies that there is a requirement for Emergency First Aiders , then these national Awards for Emergency First Aid at Work satisfies the requirements of Ofqual and The Health and Safety Executive (HSE). This very practical course will enable your learners to use an AED competently and with confidence.
Although it is not mandatory, we strongly recommend that qualified First Aiders and Emergency First Aiders undertake an annual refresher course in order to keep their skills up-to-date. Bump and Graze offers children the opportunity to learn first aid and gain lifesaving skills in a fun and engaging learning environment. At Aim High, we believe that knowledge of First Aid is essential in everyday life and especially when you have children. Having spent years and years attending different first aid courses for my career as a child minder, I can honestly say that I’ve never had as much fun as I did with you two ladies.
I attended one of Aim Highs training courses, I found both Bonnie and Aimie to be engaging and found the course content to be very useful for me in the workplace.
I just wanted to drop you a very quick, but very big and heartfelt “Thank-you!” for last weeks’ First Aid Instructors course.  I really enjoyed myself and learnt a lot from two people who clearly know how to inspire everyone about first aid delivery and everything that goes with it. I’ve been wanting to do a Parents First Aid course for a while now, have been looking around on the internet but there was nothing available that would work around the family.
Aimie Chatfield provided a First Aid for Parents course in our home and I cannot believe this is not compulsory learning for new parents!? Aimie has run 3 First Aid courses for my Complementary Therapy colleagues and each time they go home having worked hard, had some fun and confident that they could help someone in an emergency. I have taken a few First Aid courses and often been really bored but not with Aimie as she makes the session fun and interesting.

We regularly use Aim High to deliver Health and Safety Training on-site (including First Aid, Fire Safety and Manual Handling). They can provide you with a fully comprehensive 1 Day Paediatric First Aid course, as well as advice and the necessary requirements for registration on the Ofsted Voluntary register. It is an Ofsted requirement for any child-carer registered on the Voluntary Register to hold this type of First Aid qualification and have it renewed every 3 years. Establishments dealing with young children should ensure as far as possible that all staff are trained to be  able to deal with a child in an emergency situation.
There are many benefits of having them complete first aid training and in the case of an emergency in the workplace, the more employees who are first aid trained the better the chance that one will be present if an accident occurs. If the assessment of First Aid needs highlights the need for qualified First Aiders, then this Level 3 qualification (Level 6 in Scotland) will provide you with suitable, highly trained personnel.
Not only does this course deal with the use of an AED but it also includes vital training in resuscitation and choking procedures. It is ideal for individuals who are responsible for children and infants and who wish to gain a nationally accredited Level 3 Award. The older members (14-16 year olds) can acquire a professional Level 2 or Level 3 Award, valid for 3 years and approved by Ofqual.
We offer very relaxed, informal sessions to give parents, grandparents and babysitters the basic lifesaving skills they would need in any emergency situation.
It was delivered in a fun, simple and interactive way to ensure maximum learning for the girls. I just wanted to say thank you for teaching me some new things and for making the past two days so relaxed and enjoyable!!
We learnt as a small group of 5 people and our trainer, Aimie Chatfield, was an excellent teacher who could communicate and explain things very well. I’m delivering my first FAW course next week and thanks to you two, I’m feeling quite excited now. I came across Aim High and emailed them, got a reply the same day, I loved how flexible they were, they would come to our house to do the course (or where ever suited us) and they were not worried about having certain number of people!
I would recommend the workshop to parents to gain some very practical and helpful tips and those working with children as a taster course with a view to doing the certified Paediatric course – which is what I will be doing with Aim High.
I feel much more confident to deal with situations (choking etc) that may arise with my twin babies now.

We have found the training delivery to be excellent, specifically tailored to our needs and the training arrangements very flexible. Employees who have completed first aid training are also more likely to be more knowledgeable and conscious of safe behavior in the business environment, thus preventing injuries in the first place. We believe that while it’s important for parents and grandparents to have first aid training, children can also complete training in many areas of first aid.
The two-day course satisfies the guidelines and criteria as laid down by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and OFSTED. This qualification would be an asset to any learner, whether they are applying for work or a place at college. Our questions were answered clearly and she was able to call upon personal experiences to validate things we were learning. I much prefer this to sitting in front of a computer. Well done Aimie, I would certainly recommend this course to others. The Trainer has a warm, friendly and down-to-earth approach, building an excellent rapport during training and making the delivery as interesting as possible. It is designed for those individuals with a duty of care to children in childcare settings. We have designed and developed our very own children focused first aid course, Bump and Graze. I can't comment on the value for money as my employer provided the course and I am not aware of the cost. Training your children will not only increase their personal safety, but yours as well if you are ever injured. Candidates will be required to be able to deal with casualties on floors and as such may result in clothing becoming dirty.    Emergency Paediatric First AidThe 1-Day (6-Hours) Emergency Paediatric First Aid Course is designed for those members of staff not usually "In Charge" of children such as support staff, catering staff, administrative staff, drivers of vehicles carrying children such as Bus and Mini-Bus Drivers.
