I am starting the week on a Tuesday due to my weekend away and wanting to also have a detox following a weekend of booze and too much food. You could say that this diet that I have devised is based on a mix of The Cabbage Soup Diet and of Slimming World Super Free Foods. My plan is to have three days on just super free vegetables and fruit and then introduce red and green super speed days later in the week. I always felt hungry and not satisfied on The Cabbage Soup Diet but for this week I plan to eat until I am stuffed on food that will boost your body and give it a good kick up the butt. I have an apple for breakfast; lunch is a huge plate of vegetables, one portion of my Slimming World Soup from the freezer. Kyle seems to think it is funny to wave his sweets that he got from his grandparents in my face. Today is my final day on super speed foods and tomorrow I get to introduce regular speed foods and syn free cooking aids. The plan is two days on green days and one day on original red and to see how my body feels at the end of the six days. Today it is shopping day so Dominic has come home with the biggest selection of fruit and vegetables that you have ever seen that are all super free foods.
My breakfast is a 125g tray of raspberries and I have strawberries and much more to come later. Today is the day when I am going to enjoy lots of green foods along with my super speed foods. In the evening I have my first night this week without the huge fruit salad and swap it instead for a can of baked beans along with some more tomatoes. As I don’t have beans very often I am often left shocked by how filling they are and how much I like them. In the evening I make a great chicken stir fry minus the noodles and I am amazed what I can make from super speed foods and chicken. This has been a very successful and filling red day and I am looking forward to more of the same tomorrow.
I made it to day #6 and I am looking forward to the chicken casserole that we are having this evening.
As usual we have over catered so there are lots of fresh vegetables left over so that we can make some nice vegetable bakes with the spare vegetables. I jump on the Wii and weigh myself on Monday morning to discover that my six days on super speed and speed foods has resulted in an eight pound weight loss.
And this also brings me entire weight loss at more than 20 kilos of my starting body weight and that feeling is fantastic.
I can not believe that foods that are associated with super fast weight loss can make that much of a difference. This is like giving your body a full detox and I found that by cutting out fat, sugars and carbs and staying with foods that give you rapid weight loss I could have an amazing result.
And I may also point out that I have done absolutely no exercise in the last 6 days so that I could compare this to when I followed The Cabbage Soup Diet. The only thing that concerns me with how you did it is that you restricted your body from certain food groups like carbs-hence making you tired. It was just a simple experiment that I wanted to try out for a few days and I did it for 6 days.
I tried and tested a lot of different ones last summer and this was one of them and this was actually the only one I didn’t have a big weight gain with afterwards.
I am not saying that it should be done all the time but as a one off and treated like a detox it is great. For example if you have eaten too much rubbish over Christmas its great to get your body healthy again. Out of all the ones I did experiment on here the one that knocked me for six was the cabbage soup diet and out of them all the ones I enjoyed the most and had the best energy from was this and the Jordan juice diet and it just shows that when you have a lot more vegetables in your diet what a difference it makes! I just found you whilst searching for a way to boost my SW losses, for encouragement, more than anything else. And I also plan to do this again in the new year to give me a boost after Christmas because I love it so much. Though whenever I do follow SW to the letter I find out that I am already following it, it is just I have done it for so long I forget I am!!!!

Sorry I’m being really stupid here but what does the numbers beside each item of food stand for? Well I was on a roll, made it to over four stone in weight loss and then I became pregnant so I am trying to be healthy and keep it up but its hard work and I am sure with the run up to christmas after my daughter has been born I will get back at it with a fast track week. Thank you for motivating me and giving me hope at a time when I usually just surrender to comfort eating and get down putting on weight. For us though the motivation to get through it when we are stressed or depressed has become exercise. Though we are also hypnotic band followers and that is particularly good if you are a comfort eater and gets rid of the problem.

We also tend to over eat now but for us it is because it is August and Portugal is very hot and due to lack of sleep and tiredness we want to pick at food a lot more.
