Using the Browser
DropSync lets you simultaneously browse files on your local computer, and on your synced place. Using this view you can;
- Easily visualise and select folders & files to be included in a sync
- Set the local and synced-place root paths
The browser is divided into two halves. The left shows files on your local computer and the right shows files on the synced place. Both browsers operate in the same way
- At the top of each browser the current folder being browsed is shown. This folder can be changed by clicking on it as shown;
- You can also switch the current folder being browsed by double clicking on a folder in the browser. This will switch the view to the folder being clicked.
- Clicking the "set as root" button will set the current folder being browsed to the root (local on the left and synced place root on the right). This change is displayed underneath the browser itself
- Items can be selected for syncing by clicking the check box beside the item. If an item is greyed out it will not be possible to select the item. Inability to select an item usually indicates that it would conflict with the current choice of root path. For example items outside the current root path cannot be selected. In addition, items under a selected item cannot be selected.
