Configuring Login Credentials for an SSH Synced Place

SSH Synced Places are accessed using Secure Shell Protocol. For this to work, the correct username and password and hostname must be supplied

Login credentials can be configured when creating a synced place or can be edited on existing synced places by selecting Synced Places > Configure.

1. When creating a synced place that is accessed remotely via ssh you will be presented with the following screen;
2. Enter the hostname. This can be a domain name (eg mudflatsoftware.com) or an IP address (eg 255.255.255.0 ):
3. Enter a valid username and password for the entered hostname
4. Click the Test button.
   

   The test will attempt to login to the synced place using the provided credentials and will also check to see if a compatible version of rsync is installed.
