All plug-ins listed below are available for both Windows and Mac OS in 32-bit and 64-bit, and most importantly they are available for free. The list is open, so if you have any recommendations, a plugin that you liked more and want to recommend it please use the comments section from below. Last post in a while, cause in several hours I'll go to Romania. The Lower Rhythm free plugins, mostly made with Synth Edit, but quite good and very careful designed, with very pretty GUI. What I was trying from there is A-110 Amplifier (version 1.5) - a tube amp simulator with a built in 3 band EQ, compressor, lowpass filter, secondary tube channel with 4 amp models, dry output, etc. Abyss is a very simple synthesizer effect intended to be inserted on your bass drum channel.
Designed with electric pianos, strings and pads in mind, Equivibe is a hybrid of an EQ and a vibrato effect.
The A-110 is a tube amp simulator with a built in 3 band EQ, compressor, lowpass filter, secondary tube channel with 4 amp models, dry output, etc. Four effects units -- a re-texturizer that adds 'crazy stuff' to your sounds, a stereo consolidator, a stereo separator and a destruction effect that combines several methods of disortion.
Here, take a look at the new MEqualizer with the new improved GUI and "MeldaProduction Envelope System". KResearch Free Series will have soon beside KR-Reverb FS and KR-Delay FS also phaser, flanger and chorus (still under development).
The GUI is quite interesting, having some innovative options like "listener position" (guess it's panning & wet control).
As a solution, you can try THESE FREE PLUGINS or try to find a converter that convert from VST to AU. Ok, here's a new treat for all those who want a certain sound and have less technical knowledge.EQ9 and Back Stage EQ ONE by Mildonstudios are by far some of the most effective and "idiot friendly" equalizers. The old interface I liked better, the new one looks like a toy but the program itself is working just the same. VOCALS (formerly Back Stage Vocals) is a one-shot VST plug-in that pre-mixes your vocal track, taking care of harsh frequencies and creating space to make it easier for your vocals to sit perfectly inside the mix.
As a workflow, some of the functions are not really understandable, but there is a manual in English and German. There is floating somewhere a converter (found it once for a similar question) that make AU out of VST. All those are made by Jeroen Breenbaart, a Principal Scientist and Cluster Manager at Philips Research, The Netherlands.
The much anticipated "Canadian Metal Mega Release" is now available for free download and we just know you're going to love it! Changed my whole guitar setup now, using just those "Canadian Metal Mega Release" with Mu.Lab (free edition). When listening with Headphone Listening Enhancement for VST you will no longer get that ear-pounding, head-shaking, strong stereo separation that is so common. There are plenty of good free video editing software that offer useful features as adding scrolling texts, subtitles, custom animations and similar. To help you out, I decided to provide you the list of top 8 free video editing software.
Microsoft Movie Maker is one of most popular video editing software that offers enough basic features to get the job done but stops short of the abundant options and effects found in other programs. Avidemux is an open source video editing software that can handle many file types, fom avi and mpeg to flv. RichFLV is free video editing software that allows you to edit Flash Video Files and then export them as FLV, MP3, SWF or even Jpeg and PNG.
Cinefx is an offline playback, editing, encoding, animation and visual effects tool based on the Jahshaka technology that allows you to create professional digital media on your desktop.
Description: Includes step by step tutorials, hacking tips, computer hacking software and tools and how to guides . Well, I think is useful to keep tracking of very good VST effects and even if it's already a list of software (still, not one separately for effects and not one of free choices), this is more specific and I want to try those and write reviews about each one. If you want to write here, please post useful stuff, like links and eventually describe your experience with the software you link to. In the thread Emphasizing Drums I've seen a link posted by Gorgorothx to some effect named "Rescue", so I checked it out. BootEQmkII - EQ + pre-amp simulator - seems to me like a NEVE channel strip with a wicked tube preamp. Anyway, some great compressors, EQ's and several classic NEVE channel strypes plus some mastering tools. I personally used those on my album, mostly on drums (EQ and compressor) and brass (EQ and spacer whitch is a reverb actually) and I got some very nice results.
Also, as you can see on the screenshot, those shapes there are looking nice, those you can adjust and draw yourself and customize the effect in a way I've not seen before. All the other sites linked have been pretty awesome and Im hoping to try out a lot more of them tomorrow, I hope this helps with something a bit unique :P. I'm not into hardstyle at all, I prefer music closer to acoustic, but, there are some tricks that you can do there to get the right sound.
Couldn't agree more, a topic named " Best Free VST Effects" should be about free vst effects.
This one is on my favorite list, since I discovered it I use almost on everything that needs reverb. Works like magic on drums, voice, keys, guitars (electric but mostly acoustic) and trumpet.
Anyway, due to the fact that are several programs that run VST's on Mac, AU on Windows and there are some converters that transform DX to VST, VST to AU and probably AU to VST, I guess you can post also AU.
So only vst plugins that are free, and that change something to audio generated by something else. Broadcast - It's included in a bundle with a nice reverb, vintage sample emulator, and more. Cyanide2.0 - This is a handy little plug-in for wave shaping and "distortionating" capabilities. Paradigm Shifter - Is a "beat shifting delay mangler with lots of modulation options" Sounds great for glitch or electro stuff, and could probably work well with any genre for that matter.
It's a very nice effect, it has plenty to modify and it adds a great amount of depth to ambient songs. Sometimes panning is just not enough and if you are dealing with an already mixed down material or some drum loops that you can't "split" to ellements, you might need a stereo image widener. Beside "Fruity Stereo Enhancer" there are some free tools to helo you:Airwall - not the most amazing stereo tool but decent enough.
Another amazing tool for mastering is QuikQuak - UpStereo, a limiter-compressor, stereo enhancer and exciter, all in one, with very intuitive controls.

If you widen the stereo field too much, some f the things that must be in the center get muddy and lose power. Speaking of "Flux Plugins" could not let out a very interesting effect, Flux - Bittersweet 2. Not all of the plugins are free, but there are a lot of free plugins, suitable for everything, in fact all of the "Classic" series are free. Classic Compressor is a classic analog style VST Compressor Plugin with a lot of warmth and punch.
Classic EQ is a 7 Band Stereo Equaliser with a warm analog sound, well suited to make non-surgical tonal corrections on all instruments, vocals and final mixes. The Classic Master Limiter VST plugin is specially designed to boost the overall level of your final mixes, but is also highly useable on very dynamic instruments. Digitalfishphones are some of the best plugins (as a proof, they are just listed here, isn't it?), developed by Sascha Eversmeier who is currently working for "Magix" company.Endorphin - One of the best compressors, designed mostly for last stage of music processing, mastering. Reading the explanations on it's page could help to understand more about mastering generally. Denormalisation is an issue with some audio hosts that don't switch off the plugin's audio task when the song is stopped or a track contains silence (or with instruments: no key is pressed while a sound decays). All plugins have on their pages very complex and useful explanations, I strongly suggest to read those, might help understanding mixing and mastering better.
Dual Trashers & Shattershot - These 2 Vst effects are part of a series of insane glitch type effects and instruments brought to you by a madman named Jack Dark.
They were developing all effects in FL since the beginning, great plugins, easy to understand and use, CPU friendly. The reverb output is compressed when there is a certain amount of signal present on its input.
MdspFlanger - This is "another flanger" with the particularity that the LFO is synchronizable to the tempo with different waveforms. MdspDuckDelay - This is a delay whose output is compressed when there is a certain amount of signal present on its input.
MdspCompressor - A simple and effective compressor with classic controls auto gain compensation and preamp to overdrive it.
There I found several free plugins made by Patrick Wurr, awesome plugins, easy to use, CPU friendly and those are coming with several useful presets that can be a good start for mixing or just using like that for people with less knowledge about frequency, tweaking and stuff. The most useful are (at least for me) Green Gate (free, smooth noise gate) and (Little) Tube Booster ST (free virtual stereo tube preamp).
Fretted Synth Audio's collection of amps, cabs, and stompboxes is by far the most full-featured free guitar rig plug-in made!
FreeAmp has been constantly updated and improved, and has matured into a highly impressive guitar plug-in suite.
Posted previously by speedmetalmessiah on Improving My Guitar Sound topic were Wagner Sharp a guitar tube preamp simulator, based on real tube stage modeling. Its purpose is to apply cabinet emulation on a guitar signal, with no latency, so it could be used for live performance or with direct input recording, etc. Load up the stereo version, put a direct guitar sound on the left and one on the right, tweak until satisfied. Wagner Sharp is awesome as well, but be sure you have a beefy processor; it EATS CPU for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Florida Music's Brackenbury Amplifier is based on the Brackenbury-1 Tube Amplifier, designed by former Thomas Organs and Wersi designer Chris Brackenbury in the early 90's. Featuring drive, volume, delay and all of the other controls found on regular amplifiers, the Brackenbury Amp also features a unique sweepable EQ system. The Brackenbury Amp also comes with a collection of presets, with everything from Seventies acid-rock sounds to clean Jazz guitar. The Florida Music Brackenbury Amp is available for free but on the Florida Music Company website I couldn't find it anymore, even KVR links are broken. I post here stuff that I tried, I write a little about (or copy info from official pages) and I check the links. As much as I hate registering, sometimes you have to do it in order to get some free useful stuff. Solid State Logic offer 3 free useful VST effects, but you have to register in order to get those.
X-Orcism is a fun, free plug-in which transforms vocals into scary Halloween noises from the crypt! It turns out that a well-known to all users of FL Studio Maximizer Soundgoodizer of MAXIMUS, is free twin brother named You Wa Shock. I would just like to add that using the soundgoodizer on every single channel is a horrible way of making music - and anyone that entirely relies on it should be ashamed.
A free pitch-correcting solution, sounding a little bit more natural than Antares Auto Tune. As much as I dislike "all in one" solutions iZotope Ozone is a well known plugin, used by some of the best professionals. Anyway Stardust VST is a good "all in one" solution, probably one of the best and the price is unbeatable, FREE.
Rest in Peace, Arguru and thank you for all the wonderful plugins that you gave us for free.
Well, I personally post here stuff that I checked the links, tested under several DAWs (at least 2, FL and Mu.Lab) and with a small explanation and image for people to know what to expect.
4 Band Shifter is a VST Plugin that is able to scale (shift) independently the pitch of 4 adjacent, user-definable frequency bands. The only problem I had (ever) was with Spitfish (de-eser) in Mu.Lab, program crashed when I loaded two instances of the same effect, but Glaceverb I can load it on every channel and no problem.
I had just been searching the internet for samples because I'd given up on getting sections of my track to have a Vinyl grainy effect.
After we present you the best free synthesizers plugins released in 2015, now is time to check our selection of best effects plugins launched in 2015, in our opinion. Check latest news about best VST plugins, sample packs, sound kits, midi files, music production tutorials and tips. While allowing the original signal to come through untouched, it adds a secondary layer of tunable, low end bass synth. Their controls names such as depth, warmth, body, clarity, presence, and brightness are intended to musicians more than sound engineers. It allows you to control the depth, the height or frequency range, and panning all from a 3D interface. I just got it because I need to use my rex files in LMMS, which can't seem to load fruity slicer.

Jeroen received an MSc degree in biomedical engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology in 1997, and a PhD degree in psychophysics from the same university in 2001.
But when listening through stereo headphones you don't normally get the kind of lef-right cross mixing that happens in a room with speaker playback. For example, although Movie Maker includes many text motion effects for rolling credits and similar animations, there are no canned text styles to aid in the design.
You can edit .FLV directly, and tons of other formats too, even Windows Media Center recordings (DVRMS files).
It has batch-processing capabilities for processing large numbers of files and can be extended with third-party video filters.VirtualDub is a software that allows you to capture and process video files. Effect containers can be used to restrict the processing of contained video effects by shape or blending logic. The idea for Wax is to be very general purpose and flexible in video composition and effects, so that you can compose your dream video sequence with ease every time. Sadly I can't use it on my Mac but I plan to pick it for FL whenever I get the chance.I've used glitch for a couple of my songs.
It's a simple, yet very handy little utility to control the stereo field of lower frequencies in your audio material.
Broadcast is an awesome multiband compressor, limiter, and spacial image processor in one sleek little plug-in.
This little guy is fun to mess around with, seeing what kind of crazy sounding shit you can push out of it.
I like the easy to use design of it, and even though it has a nag screen, it does nothing more to prevent use of it. Nice Plugin for adding Depth, Fatness and Stereo perspective to almost any Electrical Instruments or Vocal. Special designed to use on individual Instruments and Vocal, but also useable on your final mixes. A quality control is included where the sound of the echo machine can be adjusted to give the preferred amount of "imperfection".
The passive and additive structure, together with unique "Warm" and "Saturation" algorithms, produces warm and pleasant sound, just like some of the most expensive vintage gear.
It will give you that subtle or massive swirling effect that is used mainly for guitar, but can be used for many other instruments as well. With just one control on the front panel operation is as simple as it gets; just turn the Threshold down and hear how your mixes gets louder and louder. These vintage phasers got their characteristic sound from the analog phase shifting filters used, unlike the delay lines used in most modern digital phasers. It can be adjusted to sound like most any acoustic space, ranging from a small shower to a large concert hall. It can be used for creative effects like auto-wah-wah and filter sweeps, as well as a fixed filter for equalizing purposes.
It can take any guitar sound and make it warmer or more distorted, and can actually add an interesting grungy effect to other instruments, including percussion. It can make your guitar samples heavier, or can be used to add some grit to various other instruments (synths, percussion).
Beside that, it can process almost any impulse response to any source signal, so there's no usage limitation. It is born inside an academic research project about the modelling of electric devices, and then applied to the musical instrument field as an evolution of the techniques currently available in some commercial units.
A lot of people take and run; I personally didn't know about most of these, so it's a real treat anytime someone takes time out of their day to share with others. It is nevertheless a healthy approach to try out something cool and even better every time. Thank you so much for putting in the time to find and post all of these wonderful, wonderful effects. You can’t adjust volume levels at specific locations in the timeline but only a track at a time. You can slice and dice video, change the audio, change the delay of audio in a video, and append video to video. VirtualDub is mainly geared toward processing AVI files, although it can read (not write) MPEG-1 and also handle sets of BMP images. Other features include custom video export size, number of tracks and sub-composites limited only by available memory, custom speed and direction change for video and audio, optional super-sampled compositing during export for better quality rotation and zoom, and the capability to slave effect and compositing controls to audio wave forms.
Still the other ones are worth checking out, I like to play with KitchenSync although I havent released anything with it yet. Allows you to define the processed frequency range while using several monitoring options, and to tweak how much you want it squeezed . The delay can be synchronised to the host, and the feedback can be reversed to give a ping-pong effect. Due to a tightly controlled feedback path, it is possible to boost the flanging effect to maximum without getting unwanted side effects.
Head over to his page of "Darkware", download some free plugins and enjoy an adventure in audio mangling depravity.
It has a "mix" knob for mixing input with output, "gain" knob for setting output volume level, "length" knob for setting filter length. Its most important feature is the extremely high precision of the simulation, which is about indistinguishable from the original sound. The only difference is in the design of windows and lack of You Wa Shock dithering and 64-bit processing. And Movie Maker 2 has no built-in DVD– or Video CD–authoring capabilities.Other weaknesses include awkward trimming controls that make performing precise edits difficult, and a general lack of configurability.
The Classic Phaser works just like an analog phaser, and with selectable filter stages from 4 to 12, it can resemble anything from phaser pedals to expensive studio phasers from that time period.
Now wedding photographs that have no extra sugar coating can be made superfluous and desirable like a couple of a fairy tale or a couple captured right from a dreamland where everything is ‘picture perfect’. For example, you can’t set levels on filters like blur, pixelate, and other special effects. Photos can be made crisp, sharp, classy, and vivacious — what a brain can possibly think of.

Although, it's better to try this browser tab open additionally allows fairly complicated effects to be carried out.
