An 11 times 35mm equivalent 27-300mm zoom that can take care of everything from broad landscape images, portraits, sports, fast action all the way to wildlife photos using the telephoto range as high as 300mm. Only Internal lens elements are what moves while focusing, as the overall length never changes -- resulting in a lens with quicker focusing and the balance doesn't change.
There ar three aspherical elements which correct visual aberrations much more effectively along the total zoom range and assist in reducing weight. A pair of ED Glass lenses reduce flare and vastly cut down on chromatic aberration, providing you with sharp, clear images even at the full telephoto end.
Sony a lenses featuring the Digital Technology (DT) label are perfect for mounting on APS-C DSLR cameras they are not suggested for using on full frame DSLR cameras (like the Sony A900). While superzoom lenses have improved greatly in recent years, they still have a number of drawbacks in comparison with shorter-range zooms and prime lenses.
Following is a list of superzoom lenses, used for 135 format in SLRs or for APS format in DSLRs. Nothing pushes a camera to its limits like shooting fast-moving action, but Sony's new Alpha 77 II laughs in the face in such a challenge.

The new version of its 2012 DSLR the SLT-A77 (obviously), the a77 II has an astonishing 79 autofocus points, can shoot up to 12fps and has a range of other enhancements geared towards making it a seriously snappy performer.
Chief among these are variety of different autofocus area modes including Eye AF (which tracks your subject's eyes, assuming it has any; we're not sure how it would cope with a blind mole rat) and Expanded Flexible Spot (which uses the autofocus points adjacent to the active one to ensure moving subjects stay in focus). Subject tracking even works when you're rattling off burst shots at up to 12 frames per second. Elsewhere, there's also in-body stabilisation, a 2,359k dot electronic viewfinder and a 1,228k dot tiltable LCD. A built-in flash, oodles of customisable buttons (11 of them!), NFC, Wi-Fi and a solid, dust- and moisture-resistant magnesium alloy body round the package off.
Get an amazingly high quality E-mount zoom lens with Optical SteadyShot image stabilization perfect for taking along to your next sports game or on adventure in the great outdoors.
While the outcome will be accomplished, with Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass which minimizes flare and vastly reduces chromatic aberration. Due to the aperture blades forming a nearly perfect circle when the wide openings are employed for poor-light images, spot-light sources create a pleasant circular defocused result. While DT lenses may be mounted on full frame cameras, as they will only achieve a maximum of an 11MP size image (when mounted on the Sony A900), and aren't certified to provide precise Auto Exposure performance.

Most notable is the much increased likelihood of significant distortions of the image at both extreme ends of the range. And what's more, it can shoot up to 60 images without taking a breather, thanks to its swift Bionz X processor. Not quite as impressive as the new a7s, with its 409,600 upper limit, but hardly shabby either. Don't worry too much about the numbers - they just mean that the EVF is shaper than your average porcupine spine, while the LCD is, um, more like a hedgehog or something.
There's quick internal focusing in 13 groups with 15 elements (which includes aspherical elements which correct visual aberrations all along the total zoom range), plus a circular aperture to create more pleasant out-of-focus bokeh areas.
