Creating the effect is as simple as duplicating some layers, applying a few filters, and using a few different layer blend modes, and the whole thing takes only a couple of minutes from start to finish. Hide the top two layers in the document by clicking on their Layer Visibility (eyeball) icons. With the top two layers temporarily hidden from view, click on "Layer 1" in the Layers palette to select it. The first thing we're going to do is simplify our image, and we can do that using Photoshop's "Cutout" filter.
With "Layer 1" still selected, go up to the Blend Mode options in the top left of the Layers palette. Click on the visibility icon (the empty square) for "Layer 1 copy" to turn it back on, then click anywhere else on the layer to select it. Turn the top layer back on by clicking on its Layer Visibility icon in the Layers palette, then click anywhere else to select the layer. With the top layer selected and visible again inside the document, go back up to the Filter menu at the top of the screen, this time choose Noise, and then choose Median.
Here's the document I'm starting with, which is just the word "BLUR" typed in white in front of a solid black background. The edges of the motion blur effect look too sharp, so let's apply a different type of blurring to soften them. With the layer mask selected (the mask thumbnail in the Layers panel will have a white highlight border around it letting you know it's selected), press the letter D on your keyboard to quickly reset Photoshop's Foreground and Background colors if needed, which sets the Foreground color to white and the Background color to black. With the Reflected Gradient option selected, click anywhere along the horizontal center of the text to set the starting point for the gradient. For Photoshop CS3 and earlier users, click OK to close out of the dialog box when you're done. Sometimes though, when working with other types of images like landscape or nature photos, buildings and architecture, still lifes, or really any image that doesn't focus on people, you'll want the sketch to include those tiny details the previous technique would ignore. In this tutorial, we'll learn a slightly different way to convert a photo to a sketch that's usually better suited for these other types of images since it often does an amazing job of bringing out fine details. If you've already read through the previous Portrait To Sketch tutorial, you'll find that most of the steps here are the same.
Go up to the Layer menu in the Menu Bar along the top of the screen, choose New, then choose Layer via Copy. Change the blend mode of the inverted layer from Normal (the default setting) to Color Dodge. Up to this point, the steps have been the same as in the previous tutorial where we turned a portrait into a sketch.
Next, we'll darken the sketch lines, colorize it, and learn how to complete the entire effect in 60 seconds or less! Let's add color to the sketch using the colors from the original image, which is sitting safely on the Background layer.
Finally, change the blend mode of the Background copy layer from Normal to Color, which will colorize the sketch.

As promised at the beginning of the tutorial, here's how to create this same photo to sketch effect in 60 seconds or less, using keyboard shortcuts for most of the work! To help you better we have a video tutorial on showing the removal of color cast from your images in photoshop. What the average blur does is , it find out the average color of the images and fill the image with the same color.  So here the dominant color would be the average color and the layer will fill with the same color. Change the blending mode into color mode , what it does it , it use the luminosity(brightness) of the base color  and hue and saturation of the blend color.
So basically what you are doing is ; you are mixing the opposite color to you images which will take away the dominant color tine giving you more of less natural color tone.
In this Photoshop effects tutorial, we're going to learn how to easily make a photo look more like a watercolor painting. This is the Layer Visibility icon, and it determines whether or not the layer is currently visible in the Photoshop document. With "Layer 1 copy" selected and visible once again inside the document, go back up to the Filter menu at the top of the screen, choose Artistic once again, and this time, choose Dry Brush. The Median filter will remove even more detail from the image, and the nice thing about it is that it does so without blurring the image so edges remain well defined. In this Photoshop tutorial, we'll learn how to give text a ghostly, supernatural look to it using a couple of simple blur filters.
This is a quick way to access the last filter we used, which in our case was the Motion Blur filter.
Drag the Radius slider at the bottom a little towards the right to add a small amount of blurring, just enough to soften the edges of the motion blur effect. This again re-opens the dialog box for last filter we used, which this time was the Gaussian Blur filter. Then hold down your Shift key and, with your mouse button still held down, drag straight up to the top of the text.
This way, all of the changes we make will be made to the copy, leaving the original photo unharmed.
In that tutorial, we used Photoshop's Gaussian Blur filter to create the sketch effect by blurring the layer.
If the color seems too intense, lower the Opacity value until you're happy with the results. Before you begin, make sure the Move Tool is selected at the top of the Tools panel, otherwise some of the keyboard shortcuts won't work. Leave the Radius value set to 1 pixel and click OK to close out of the filter's dialog box. This photo effect works best on images where maintaining rich colors and strong contrast is more important than keeping any fine details, since you'll be losing a lot of detail with this effect.
However, Photoshop CS6 users should check out the fully updated Photoshop CS6 version of our Watercolor Painting Effect tutorial. I'll be using Photoshop CS5 throughout the tutorial but any recent version of Photoshop will work.
Change the Angle of the blur to 90°, then begin dragging the Distance slider at the bottom of the dialog box towards the right to increase the amount of blurring.

Photoshop will re-open the filter's dialog box for us so we can make any changes we need before the filter is applied. A Radius value of around 2 pixels should be enough, although you may need to use a higher value for a larger document. We'll use the Gaussian Blur filter here to add a glow effect around the letters in the text.
So as an added bonus for those already familiar with the previous tutorial, at the end of this one, we'll learn how to create the entire sketch effect from beginning to end in 60 seconds or less! This time, we want more detail in the sketch than what the Gaussian Blur filter would give us, so we'll use a different filter. If you find the sketch is now too dark, lower the layer's Opacity value, which you'll find to the right of the blend mode option.
In other words images which are not color corrected as said to be images with color cast.  There are many ways of removing color cast from your images and today in this post i will be talk to you about one of the simplest way to remove color cast from your images in photoshop.
Click on the icon for the top two layers in the Layers palette to temporarily hide them from view inside the document. Drag the Radius slider towards the right and as you drag, you'll see a glow begin to appear around the text. Then drag the Hue slider to select a color to use, and drag the Saturation slider to adjust the intensity of the color. As before, I'll be using Photoshop CS5 throughout this tutorial but any recent version will work.
Keep an eye on the image in the document window as you lower the opacity to fine-tune the results.
